Title: Cutie Pops!
Post by: papier on August 09, 2012, 07:07:28 AM
Mods, I've checked back three pages and couldn't find a post on this, but I know you will have to merge if there is one, and that is fine :)

What do people think of these? I wasn't sure at first but they've grown on me. My favourite at the moment is Candi, but I also like Eclair (her name is Chiffon in the US).

Oh, and on this UK toy website, there's an exclusive girl, Popcorn!

But why oh why is she so expensive?! £40?!

Thoughts and pictures of Cutie Pops most welcome :)

I love them, but as I have no clear favorite I feel like I'd need to buy ALL of them at the same time. XD So, I haven't convinced myself to spend that much money on them at once yet. It would be easier if they had one with an unnatural-ish hair color, like purple or snow white. They don't seem as popular as the other new doll lines this season, I've only found one review of them.

Popcorn is pretty adorable, but since she's just another blonde base, I wonder that they didn't just release her stuff as a fashion pack. Thanks for sharing, I never would have known about her otherwise!

No problemo; personally, she's not for me either as, like you say, they could've have done something other than blonde. I was just astounded at the price.

It's true, Cutie Pops have been totally eclipsed by La Dee Dahs (which I also love), Novi Stars and Bratzillaz. I've seen some pictures on flickr and I honestly think they can hold their own, they're pretty great. I especially love Candi's rainbow scheme and the special rainbow chips to close her eyes with. Very cheerful and vivid.

I seen these in the stores but I can't bring myself to buy one. They just don't charm me that much. I don't care for their face mold at all. The bright colors are fun but they just aren't for me. I think they just came out too close to the La Dee Da dolls. They kind of remind me of them crossed with La La Loopsy... lol

That is a pretty astonishing price. e_e I think they're a tad bit overpriced normally (another reason I don't have one yet), but that's absurd.

Yep, all of them, and people even seem to like the new Winx dolls more! XD I adore my Novi Star myself, and I can feel myself slowly acquiescing to buying more of that line, and even a Bratzilla. I totally blame everyone's lovely user pics and chat about them. :P It's easy to forget the poor Cutie Pops.

I looove Candi's rainbow chips and yarn hair falls too! I'm almost certainly going to get her. I only wish her dress was actually black instead of a dark denim. I'm glad (?) you started this thread, since now I'm reminded of how much I want these girls, haha.

I dunno why they aren't more popular than La Dee Da. At least the Cutie Pops have an interesting feature. I mean if a doll isn't going to be very articulated it better have an interesting feature to make up for it but the La Dee Das have none.

Yes. No. I don't know.

Eurggh, they're cute for sure, but I don't know how inclined I'd be to buy one. Then again I've said that before and wound up with more dolls of a certain type than I have space for.

Am I the only one dumbfounded by the molded hair mixed with the synthetic hair? This might be my OCD talking, but that bothers me quite a bit. I also find their eyes to be terrifying.

You'd think a customizable doll with OTT sweet deco lolita roots would super ineterst me, but...no. They are SCARY.

Okay, if do admit their pets are cute. But I'd feel weird buying just the pets. They beat the Bratzillaz pets for sure! And there's more variety than the La Dee Da pets, I believe.

Still.. they do not appeal to me as a doll.

Not just you! The hair weirds me out a lot.

Exactly this lol. When I heard about them I thought I was going to love them. And then when I saw them the other day in WM... nope. The faces and eyes seem soulless to me and they looked so plasticky and clumsy overall... I was sad.

This! I haven't really seen them in person yet (saw them at a TRU while I was on vacation but they were an aisle over and I forgot to go and take a closer look), but I looked up pictures of them and yeah... I can see why they could appeal to people, but they scare me a bit ._. The huge size and kiddish faces/clothing remind me of Lalaloopsy, but these don't have the same charm as those do, at least for me.

I dunno why they aren't more popular than La Dee Da. At least the Cutie Pops have an interesting feature. I mean if a doll isn't going to be very articulated it better have an interesting feature to make up for it but the La Dee Das have none.
I find the interesting feature a tad terrifying, honestly. And La Dee Das are smaller and their faces and clothing are more detailed which is why I prefer them.

Definately good for the La La Loopsy crowd. I'm not a fan of them, but they are adorable.

I have to admit the switchable eyes and molded hair might not appeal to everyone (I myself am not crazy about the molded hair and if I get one I am considering modding her to wear a regular doll wig) but I find the outfits are just as detailed as La Dee Da.

Your right, I should have used a different word. Um... stylish, maybe? It's kind of hard to explain, but when you look at an MH doll, they're very fashionable and wear a lot of darker colors, while something like a Lalaloopsy is dressed a bit more conservatively and in lots of bright colors to appeal to kids. I find La Dee Da to be in-between those two lines, while Cutie Pops would be a lot closer to the Lalaloopsies.

Although I love La Dee Dah's, I saw my first Cutie Pop doll the other day and would probably be more inclined to buy them as a gift. They're more interactive! I think their eyes are cool! And I wouldn't have to worry about their hair being ripped out.

I saw them at Walmart and thought they looked cute, I might have to see more of them as in owner pics to make a choice to buy one. I love all these new stylish dolls that are being released lately. I was kinda bored with Barbie for a while lol

I've only seen these at Walmart in my area. With so many other shiny new dolls at, I honestly think they're being over looked. I've said before that I don't like their face molds but I think they would be cool for kids to play with. The eyes switching reminds me of when Betty Spaghetti came out and you could switch them all up. I absolutely loved those as a child. Wish I still had my old collection!

If they come out with more of a variety I think they might stand a chance against La La Loopsy and La Dee Da. I love love love my two La Dee Da dolls but if I was a kid I think I wouldn't enjoy playing with them. Other than their cute outfits and jointed legs, you can't really do much with them. Then again, I was the kind of kid who would make my toys go on adventures, making them climb tree limbs and fences to escape evil or take them in the pool and pretend they were in a boat wreck. Barbies and Bratz were great for this. These dolls can't really go on an Adventure..

As for Cutie Pops, the fact that they HAVE a feature other than 'Colorful New Doll!' should be earning brownie points for kids and parents. I think if they continue to develop they could lead to something really good but we just gotta see where they go with it.

I just wanted to bump this thread up to say I've now seen Popcorn, the movie-themed Cutie Pop with her pet dog included in the set, at Walmart in the US. :) Only a little more expensive than a regular $20 Cutie Pop. So yay for her being not-an-international-exclusive now!

I bought the Movie-themed set the other day.  I'm honestly not sure how I feel about it.  I ADORE the dog!  The doll, though?  Eh.  Her hair is really cute, and I love the popcorn "pops".  But I've not yet fallen head over heels for her like I have with my La Dee Das or my one and only Novi Star doll.  She has the potential, I feel, but worse comes to worse, I'm definitely going to buy more of the dogs!

I love them. They have Dal/Byul proportions and can swap clothes with both which is also cool.  Have only one, the first blonde Chiffon and just love the playability of them.  I actually bought her and my LaDeeDa girl at the same time and found the opposite.  Was so excited by LaDeeDa and disliked  her once I deboxed her.  A lot.  Hate that too skinny wibbly body and the clothes, while cute aren't as well made. So many unfinished hems...  Even tried rebodying the LaDeeDa and nope, cute faces but not for me.   Cutie Pops I bought on a whim and was pleasantly surprised, had so much fun with her hair and eyes.  Her eyes are a bit freaky but I'm a blythe collector so the proportions didn't bother me so much.  I think Cutie Pops might be my fav line of the newer dolls and yay for also having nice hair!  So many new lines have such awful hair like Winx and the Brazillaz.  I love my one Bratzilla but I'm very careful with her hair as it's the type of nylon that frizzes easily.  I tried loving the Winx and bought the cute Sky/Bloom two pack along with Deluxe/Believix Stella and Casual Tecna.  Only Tecna and Sky remained....

Here's a link of my Cutie Pops with my Tangkou and one of my Blythes.

Cutie Pops and Byul/Dal can share clothes so I'm guessing that CP stuff will be too tight on most pullips except for maybe the type 3 body and even then I think the dresses might be too short.  Hope that helps!

Carmel is finally showing as well as the revamped Cookie and Chiffon; picked Chiffon up a few days ago:

Wasn't planning on getting her but my dog chewed one of my fav 'eye sets' for my first Chiffon so it's nice to have the new one.  That's the only drawback of these girls; you can lose stuff and be left with a boring doll pretty quickly!

Haven't seen the petites yet; they are darling!

My Candi! She is the cutest thing and I adore her. She's soooo much fun to play with, I must have changed her hair at least 15-20 times on Christmas. Her normal hair is incredibly soft and her yarn hair is really precious. I didn't expect her hair to be so nice and I honestly just couldn't stop touching it. I am beyond sold on Cutie Pops. I had so much fun with Candi just on the first day that I want all the clothing, dogs, and pop packs I can get. I would not hesitate to pay the full price for a doll or any of the pets/packs. I even want the storage/display thingy. I've got enough Christmas money left over for Starr and Popcorn, so starting tomorrow I'll be stalking Walmart for them! :D

And the hair and eye pack I won from the Facebook giveaway! 8D This is the only hair and eye pack I wouldn't have bought on my own, but I really wanted the closed eyes and bows so I'm thrilled. The hair is gorgeous and once again I couldn't stop playing with it. I really like the open eyes' design its solidified my thought that non-black open eye outlines look really odd to me.

Wonderful pictures, Taxel! I know the post is slightly old now, but I wanted to reply anyway because it was great to see more owner photos, plus mini review.

Aw thank you! :D

As soon as my Pullip sells I'll be having a bit of a Cutie Pops spree, lots of new outfits and pop packs. Definitely also Magenta and Tangerine.

OhmyRa - they made one with pink hair?! I am so happy! I must have her!! The lack of a good unnatural hair color (I couldn't seem to chose between the regular human shades) is a big reason I haven't bought one of these girls yet. I hope to see more pictures whenever you get these new lovelies. :)

I just about died when I saw the Swirly Brights. I was REALLY hoping for a redhead eventually, and orange is close enough! And Magenta's adorable pink afro puffs are just epic. Chiffon from the set is also nice (I REALLY want her clothes), but I don't need or want another blonde.

And of course! :D

The swirly Brights Chiffon isn't blond she is bright, screaming, unnatural yellow.

Yellow hair is still blonde as far as I'm concerned.

After waiting a month with no reply I sent a new email last night, pretty hopeless at this point. I just checked my email and I finally got a reply! They're going to mail me a replacement yarn piece and a full new set of slushy pops. I expected the yarn seeing as how that was the actual issue, but I included a bit about my Starr's other issues (nothing major or anything worth complaining about, which I did say, but while I was emailing I decided to give them the extra feedback).

The replacement pieces arrived today! :D They even included an extra set of bows, so her entire hair pieces in the photos came in today. I LOVE this hair so much, I'm so glad I can finally use it!!!

I love Cutie Pops! I bought one for my little niece (original Chiffon) along with one of the dog pets and she loves them. They're a bit too big for me to put anywhere, especially considering I also have Pullips and Dals that I haven't been able to display due to lack of space... but the Cutie Pops are so fun and the little accessory/clothes packs are so cute. I think these dolls are very wholesome and pretty much non-objectionable (now someone is going to tell me there's a brigade of parents saying this doll will somehow corrupt their child with its sweets theme... :P), especially compared to the more mature-looking fashion dolls out there. c:

I was very nervous about deboxing, expecting it to take tons of time. It turned out being the quickest and easier deboxing I've ever done. Three snips (botton, side, and side/top) and I could tear off the back, pull out the plastic holding everything, and pop everything out. There was absolutely nothing in their hair. Just plain awesome.

I could sing from the rooftops and not get across just how amazing these are. The attention to detail is absolutely phenomenal! There was one significant error (scratch in one of Summer's lenses), which I could have easily avoided in store (but chose not to). I could count two very small paint errors, both on pops and not the dolls themselves. Nothing feels cheap, every single piece is thick and feels quality. The glasses and headphones "snap" on, not literally but they fit PERFECTLY and stay on (http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8373/8472957518_978302c021.jpg). They do not feel like the cheap accessories I'm used to. Petites and full-size girls can share (http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8521/8472968192_4a1deecdb7.jpg) pops (http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8243/8471877415_3618e9f5f9.jpg) (dogs too! (http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8521/8472969098_10e206b374.jpg)), its awesome. The petities also have switchable hair and bows (http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8525/8471878643_8209f851b4.jpg). Their ponytail holes are even heart shaped (http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8106/8472970228_585018004e.jpg), despite their ponytails being circle shaped. Their extra pops are even all different colors, some totally random colors (instead of matching), which gives them more matching potential.

I'll test it out and take some photos for you! :)

My guess before trying it out: Sleeves will cause problems, but may be doable if you remove hands. Dresses without sleeves might work. Tops without sleeves might work. Skirts might, shorts I doubt would. I also doubt pants, leggings, or stockings would.

Edit: Unfortunately I can't do it. ): Frankie and Lala's sleeves don't fit over their hands (no arms will budge) and I can't get Cleo's shoes off. They're the only girls I have so unfortunately I can't help.

I just found some AWESOME news!!! I was looking for an answer to a question someone asked me, and noticed this text at the bottom of the CP website:
The availability of the special collector edition of articulated-arm models will be available in the future announcement.

I cannot even begin to express my excitement. I'm freaking out! This is literally the only thing I would change about Cutie pops (and its still not a huge deal), but omg!!!

California was great for my Cutie Pops collection!

When I arrived at my aunt's house she told me she had a present for me. It was S'mores! The dog I wanted the most! He's such a cutie, and I'm thrilled to have the pink sugar cookie heart pops.

A few days later my grandma gave me $20 for my birthday in advance (its not until next month but she won't see me then), so we went to TRU! I had a tough time deciding between the Swirly Brights girls (on sale for $10 each), but ended up going with my favorites - Tangerine and Magenta!

Tangerine's hair isn't as soft as the original girls, but its still very nice. And Magenta's is too cute! Their blush is like checkered too, it looks really great. I would've happily paid $20 for these girls, but I think $10-15 is fairer since they don't have closed eyes or extra hair.

I find them kinda cute.. and that says a lot since I don't like many dolls aside MH. I love that they have dogs, too. ^^

The movie themed one (Starr & Popcorn was it?) is quite awesome as well as some of the food/candy-themed ones. :D
But maaan.. they are EXPENSIVE! I'd love to snatch one up for my toyshelf, but not at a price of €30-€50. ;_;

Oh wow, that's crazy expensive! D: They're only $20 here for normal dolls, and $28 for Starr & Popcorn (the movie-themed set). If you get one I'd definitely see about buying it elsewhere and having it shipped to you.

Are Starr&Popcorn still sold in stores? Would it make sense to ask around here if someone could pick them up?

The Walmart/Target Exclusives are often sold in random stores in europe (with the exception of UK, I believe they have them exclusive to certain UK store-chains).. alas, they're expensive here. :<

I just saw a ton of Starr & Popcorn sets in Walmart last night, so they're definitely still in stores. And yeah, they're Walmart exclusive in the US at least.

I should check out the Dollhouse more often than just hanging out in the MH forum.
I really like the feature with the add-ons and the many sweets themed outfits and accs. I'm a sucker for sweets in toy form. That's the reason I could never get rid of my Cherry Merry Muffin stuff ^^

But their huge heads really bug me.
There's a thin line between "large but still cute" and "too large, WTF IS THAT ABOMINATION" and sadly these dolls fall into the latter category in my opinion :/
The eyes look creepy too, even though yet again that clip-on feature is kinda nice.

I'm so torn. The heads... they go into Blythe territory DX

I think it might be possible to remove the head and put it on a larger body. I'd love to put one on an Obitsu or Liv body.

MH might be able to, but I don't think Liv, Obitsus, or anything else big could. Their bodies are very small.

Mhh, I see.
Their bodies aren't the issue then. Their heads are! A little smaller and my interest in them would be so much bigger. Of course it's also kind of good that I'm not interested. They aren't available in Germany and I already have to import so much stuff

I thiiiink I once saw a pic of Howleen wearing CP clothes.. not sure about the larger dolls.

It's the dresses with the clip-ons I love the most about them! Well, I can always buy FiMo canes and sort of make my own sweet-themed outfit for my MHs ^^

The petites are much more proportional. Only issue with them is they can't change clothes, but they can swap pops, bows, and hair still.

If you just like the clothes they fit Monster High and there are fashion packs and with the dolls you can always take the clothes and sell or donate the naked doll. If you also really like the heads but not the proportions I think they might look good on Moxie Teenz bodies.

My current plan is to get Starr/Popcorn (have an offer, will hopefully haver her soon. Yaaaaa-y).. and then Cookie/S'Mores, Candi/Lolli and Chiffon/Dot. ^^
That's expensive enough since I have to import and I'll be content with that.. but more animals might just change it. xD;;

I always wanted all the dogs because they're so cute, but after getting Popcorn I wanted them because Popcorn was just so *nice*. They're not like cheap pets doll lines usually have, they're really nice. Then I got the UK girls and needed the dogs even more since they come with the US girls' pops. And then I got S'mores and saw her with Cookie, and now I want them even more because they go so cute together! So nothing will stop me now. xD

I'd really love to see cats, and maybe some more unique pets like ferrets. Horses would be awesome but they'd have to come with special dolls or really weird saddles to be rideable.

Seems like someone will customize anything I guess.  I am not a vampire person, but I do love the idea of making different hair pieces and eye pieces.
Title: Re: Cutie Pops!

Heh, I wonder why there aren't way more customized Cutie Pops.
It seems like the mechanism for the pops and hair pieces is very simple. Definitely worth a try to see if one could make molds and then just create as many different pops as one would like...

Damn it, now I want this doll even more so I could try it!

Taxel, I'd love to know if their molded hair is part of the head sculpt or a single piece and just glued on (like Deuce Gorgon's snake hair for example). I wonder if it could be taken or sanded off without destroying the holes for the hair plugs.
You know, for rehairing purposes ^^

I know of three other customized girls, but that's it.

I never even thought of making molds! I bet someone could do that.

I've never tried, but I don't think their hair can be popped off and I highly doubt anyone could rehair them. If you sanded off the hard hair, I'm sure you could use a wig just fine though. I don't know if the pigtail holes would survive, but I'd guess not.

What other three? Did any of them have custom painted eye pops or is this the first one with custom eye pops too?

As for wigging them I think just taking care of the bangs would do the trick.

I got Swirly Brights Chiffon today! Michael's didn't have any sealant though, so I can't start painting her yet.

I also got my OOAK Chiffon's new outfit! I'm super thrilled and she looks great. I just need to change the pops on her bows, but I'm not yet sure what I'll switch them to. The dress slips down easily (it should have had clear sleeves) and I prefer the arm warmers as leg warmers. I had a hard time removing the stock cake pops from the dress and one of the pop holders actually almost came out of the dress. The fabric is thinner and far less stiff than my other girls, so its a bit more fragile when it comes to pops.

Aww I have a friend named Lina so I love the lina LOL.  For some reason I am less into formal attire on dolls and like a more natural look. I love the blue one most and I would probably redress her if I owned her.  I am not fond of the dress, but the pops are nice.

Wow, sorry to dig this up but I suppose this is still the general CP-post? :D

I have a question regarding the pets.. I just recently received my first 3 dolls and pets: Basic Candi/Chiffon/Cookie plus their dogs Dott/Loli/S'Mores.
On the back of Dott's box however, they advertise a 4th dog: Truffles!

visitors can't see pics , please register or login
 (http://s938.photobucket.com/user/allthatbeatingdrums/media/Foto_zpsafb85a69.jpg.html)

Is that Carmels dog?

However, when I look them up on stores online or on ebay, I can never find Truffles nor a Basic Carmel to go with her. (just the 'Cutie Pops Sweets' Carmel')
They're not even on the official website. :c

So what's with this dog? Was it just a prototype falsely advertised on the back of the box?
She's really cute,.. probably my favourite out of the pets, so that would truly be a shame. ;_; But since I cannot seem to find ANYTHING about Truffles online, I suppose that is likely. Boh! xD

Title: Re: Cutie Pops!

This is the first time I've ever seen Truffles mentioned anywhere, so I'm guessing she was just a prototype. Have you tried emailing Jada Toys and asking them about it? You might get an answer that way. I'll also note that the official website hasn't been updated in a while. There are three new doll lines out that aren't in the Catalog.

There also isn't a 'basic' Carmel. She was released as part of the Sweets line.

And since someone bumped the thread up, I'll post the photos I've been meaning to! My OOAK Chiffon had some fun trying on Candi's clothes (with random pops).

I figured this is basic/signature Carmel:

But back when she was still called 'Coco' and is totally a prototype. :|
Judging by the colours of the dress and the pops it's pretty obvious Truffles was meant to go with her. Too bad they never made it. :<
I guess mailing Jada Toys might be the best to find out more about them - Do they answer, tho? ..or do you just get a standard reply like from Hasbro and Mattel? xD

BTW, I sadly don't have the boxes for the other two dogs as I got them loose - Is Truffles on every box or is this the odd one out/an early release? I might keep her MIB if it is and just look for another Dott. :)

Your OOAK is always so lovely! That shade of pink in her hair is perfect. :D

I hadn't seen that prototype image of her! You're making me feel like a bad Cutie Pops fan. XD But yeah, its really obvious they were meant to go together. I wish Carmel had been released like that; I would've bought her! Truffles too, he's super adorable.

Every time I've emailed I've gotten replies, but my emails have always been about a problem and not a question.  Their replies were never cookie-cutter; I've always been happy with them and felt like I was talking to an actual person. I would guess that they'd at least reply to you, although you might get a more cookie-cutter response to that type of question.

I've never actually seen Truffles on a box before! But I'm going out Cutie Pops hunting today, so I'll look at all the dog boxes I find.

Aw thank you! :D I can't get enough of her hair. Its getting kind of messy though, so I'm thinking about washing and combing it. But I'm so nervous. x.x

Edit: My Cutie Pops hunting wasn't very fruitful. Apparently the Target here is no longer carrying Cutie Pops at all (there wasn't even space for them). Walmart moved the Cutie Pops down to the bottom shelf (they used to be on the middle/top with a sign). I was pretty panicky, so when we got to TRU I snatched up the two pops packs I really wanted. I can't find Sweets Candi anywhere so I'm not gonna tempt fate again. x.x

Every dog I found had Truffles on the back, so I'd just save the back cardboard if you like it. :3 If I get Lolli (I'm considering it) that's what I'm gonna do.

Since I got those pops, Chiffon's main outfit is now complete!

I love the pink do-nut pops and can't wait to find those. So far, I have had no luck.

The pop packs have been pretty hard for me to find. Only the TRU has ever had them, but they're not always in stock.

Hiya CP thread!
I have been tempted by these cuties for a long time, and finally caved and bought my first yesterday! The movie set with Starr and Popcorn.
I love them both! The pops are so addictive and I love playing with them.

Aaaanyway, I was a little disappointed to find Starr's clothing didn't seem to be made to be removed. I had to cut the thread holding her jacket to her dress, and wiggling the dress off of her body was difficult. It was even more difficult to get her dress back on!
Has anyone else with Starr tried changing her outfit? Or am I crazy for snipping threads? xD

Cutie Pops are such big dolls, and I don't have much room for display left so I was hoping to buy just Starr and then buy the add on pops/clothes packs.  :)
Also what kind of stands, if any, have people tried for their cuties?

Hi, I never took Starr's clothes off but I have taken others off with no problem.I also left her hair up, did anyone else take her hair down?  Mine are just sitting or standing on a shelf.  I love them.

I have Starr and Popcorn, but I've never removed Starr's outfit. Like Mickey, I've never had any problems with any other outfit swapping I've done.

The only stand I've ever put one of my Cutie Pops in is the Decoration Station's stand. Jada Toys seems to take a lot of photos of them in Blythe stands (or knock-off/look alike/etc stands). They're really cheap on eBay, so I think they're a good option. I might buy a few for myself now, actually.

Ah okay, Starr's dress doesn't have a velcro strip which is what made me think she wasn't made to be undressed.
I left her hair up because those buns are super cute!

Cool, thanks for that info! I'll do some Blythe stand hunting, I prefer to have my dolls standing. It usually takes up less space. ;D

Well, my original plan of only having Starr and Popcorn has bitten the dust. I bought Chiffon today, the Sweets version. Her clothes were just way too cute!
I don't really like her yarn hair falls though, too much yellow. They would've looked much nicer pink with yellow accents I think.
I do have plans to customize her into a cuter pastel princess, so I'm going to see if I can customise her hair falls too.  ^.^
I really want the Sweet Dreams hair and eyes pack, but haven't seen it in Australia, and eBay is crazy pricey. :/

If you try customizing the yarn falls before I take a stab at customizing some hair, you should post photos! :D I've seen one set of custom hair on Flickr, but nothing else. It looks like they'd be really easy to customize though.

All of my poor Cutie Pops are stuck in a drawer piled on top of each other. xD I should go in and arrange them better.

I have the Sweet Dreams pack and its lovely. I don't like the open eyes much (I prefer black outlines over colored ones), but the hair is adorable. I'm going to go Cutie Pops shopping soon, if you want I can see if TRU has it.

For sure, I will! At the moment I'm trying to find as much info and custom pics as I can to see what other people have done. :D

Aww, hahah, that must be the cutest drawer ever though!
I have a doll shelf, so I'm gonna try and squeeze my Cutie Pops on when I do get stands. They will look so odd amongst my MH crowd. xD

Eeeee, that would be amazing if you found an extra set! I love the pastel eye outlines and the lavender hair. It's the best pop pack ever! :D
I would appreciate it so much, as would my Pops. ;3

I hope Jada release more clothes packs too, I only really like the PJs and I'd love more cute dresses/leg warmers/skirt and top sets.

Firstly, TRU has the Sweet Dreams pack for $10. Feel free to PM me if you'd like it, Fizzy!

Last week I bought the last outfit I needed, Fashion Pups Dalia, Hattitude Sydney, and Hattitude Bianca. I was debating whether I should buy FP Coletta or H Dakota, but I decided to wait. And I'm glad I did, because that was the last Cutie Pops purchase I'll be making.

But before we get to the bad, let's start with the one good part: the outfit pack.
Spoiler
Although the pants are a bit short, I'm very happy with it! The shoes are totally adorable and I LOVE the pops. The sleeves of the shirt are easy to get caught in the fingers so I wouldn't take it on/off a ton (even with being very careful I snagged one and got a lot of strings that needed to be cut).

However, I don't think the orange shoes suit her so I went to swap them with Sydney (with plans to buy Dakota to give Bianca the perfect shoes). That plan quickly fell apart. The short shoes are a little bit of a pain to remove, and the tall ones are VERY hard to remove. I had to heat them with a blowdryer and was still terrified that I'd snap her ankle. The orange shoes were immediately tossed aside and destined to never be used - and they were one of the BIGGEST reasons I was excited for Hattitude. Anyways, the purple shoes look way better on Bianca.

Unlike Sydney, Bianca was a lot of fun to photograph. Her color palette is just so much better. While I greatly disliked Sydney and didn't want to spend time photographing her face, the exact opposite is true of Bianca.

And then it was time to pull out Bianca's hair. Its a lovely deep black that I was very excited for. . .until I actually got it in her head. It looks okay in the first photo, but I can't get the elastic band around any of the hair (only around the clear hairless plug the Hattitude girls come with) so it looks a little lame. But once I got the hat off, I realized how dumb the pitch black hair looks against an all white scalp and striped white/black bangs. Every bit of hair should have been white and black, or at least black stripes on the scalp too.

And lastly, we have Dalia.
Spoiler
In person, I thought Dalia was by far the cutest. But her outfit looks cheap and my lamp couldn't do her beautiful skin tone any justice. At this point I just wanted to be done. Her shoes are an interesting style but seem like they're a little big for her tiny feet.

I was so excited to see her yarn hair. . .and it was just another disappointment. Her yarn hair is about half the size of the original yarn hairs, so it looks thin and cheap. The original reason I wanted Dalia was her yarn hair, and Coletta's yarn hair was the thing tempting me the most to buy her.

After I finished photographing everyone, I decided to check their knees and necks. I know Toybox Philosopher has had a LOT of trouble with CP knees, but I'd only had trouble with them once or twice (but much more often with necks). Every single knee on every girl was barely able to bend, and Dalia and Bianca had stiff necks (but Sydney's head was way too far down, remember). For a while I considered exchanging Dalia and Sydney (Bianca's panda theme is too special to me) for older CP dolls, like Sweets girls or maybe Lolli or even the last hair pack I don't have. But I decided that I didn't want to do that. I love all of the CP dolls I already have, but this was just too much bad all at once.

Walmart gave me cash when I returned them (which I still can't believe!) so I bought a mini Lalaloopsy, Lala-oopsy seapony, and Disney Store's "Its a small world" Kenya. I'm MUCH happier with those purchases. I might eventually try and get Lolli or Sweets Candi, but beyond them I won't be making another CP purchase unless I'm picking something up for someone else.

It's a shame you had such bad luck. Of course that is kinda to be expected with playline dolls from smaller companies that don't have the resources of a Mattel or even a Hasbro or MGA. I imagine the early Bratz back when MGA was just starting out had some hiccups here and there. I wonder if there is anything that can be done to make problem knees and necks work better?

I'm starting a cutie pops collection soon, but I'm located in England and all I can find online other than eBay (where everything is £50+!) are the original 3 dolls and Movie Night.

Does anybody know whether the other Cutie Pops have made it to the UK yet?
Title: Re: Cutie Pops!

All I know about Cutie Pops in the UK is that the original three girls have different pops (and the blonde has a different name, Eclair in the UK and Chiffon in the US). I'm not sure if you already knew that or not.

Its gotten a lot harder to find them in the US. Maybe they're just not popular so stores are dropping them?
