I just called and the lady said someone is coming to look at them tomorrow.... There are 12 g1 ponies and a complete G1 playset....with box.... :faint:
No rare ponies but there are some nice ones I don't have and lots of accessories :)
I am praying the other person does not turn up...I told the seller I will buy everything, so if the other buyer doesn't buy everything the seller will call me. I need to wait 24 hours though! Gah! I want those ponies DAMMIT! :yikes:

Good luck! I had a similar encounter through Craigslist and got a nearly complete Dream Castle and a few ponies for $25. Hopefully you make out even better than I did!

And Dusky if i have no luck tomorrow i would LOVE to take DC if it's going, it would be much loved and appreciated here! I have majesty, spike and some accs already so they are waiting to move in lol! :hug:

I love finding ponies like that, but hate the waiting game!
I'm actually in a similar situation, I found a whole bunch of vintage stuff on Gumtree, which is like a general online trading post here in Australia. Thankfully I'm the only buyer, but it took aaages for that email to come through with the "yes, they are still available." I'm now waiting until Saturday to pick them up... It's really exciting, because the pics are so blurry I've only tentatively identified some of them... I can barely pick wings and horns and poses! but I think I have a complete pony bride, some newborn twin rockers, a couple of keypers, some sparkle ponies, Plushies, the g2 dainty dove playset and maybe even a princess tiffany. Hoping so, at any rate... So excited! There's also some vintage fakies.... eek!

Its to bad that someone else got there first! That would bum me out too. Like you said maybe she won't take them all or won't even show. Crossing my fingers for you. ^.^

argh, no wonder you're frustrated, it must be awful to wait for the reply now :( I hope the other wannabe buyer will choose not to buy them (for whatever reason, that's not the important part here :P ) and you get to get them! fingers crossed! ^^

Though I did have a nightmare about just getting to someone's house as another person was walking away with a load of ponies... I think it was as a result of reading this thread yesterday!

You should leave your number with her - no one with any pony knowledge is going to pay that for those items so perhaps once she gets no more interest she ll get back in touch with you?
If she was around the £20 then I would go for it though :)

If the sea ponies are ones I don't have, I'll give you some money for them, as we're doing a trade anyway, and if any of the accessories are for sea ponies? Whale / fish brushes etc. :)
That way it will bring the price down a bit if you're not interested in the sea ponies :)
Or I can send you the ponies you wanted in exchange :)

Oh dear, I think those ponies are barely worth £20 to be honest. Though you have achieved something by finding ponies in the newspaper! That's no mean feat even if it didn't quite work out. At least you know that someone didn't walk off with a load of Mountain Boys etc :D

Isn't that like $4.16 a pony? I don't think it's that bad .. But seems the good ones were taken for the most part. I would see if she would go down a bit.. But they are g1 ... So regardless if you don't take them, someone else will.

Yeah but 4 of them are bait condition: 2x majestys, songster and peachy. I mean you can sell a mint peachy for more than $2 lol. Ioffered her £25 for them and she said no.

Sorry to hear they're not quite right. I'm a sucker who would pay that much because...eh... pony finds that aren't online, I feel better buying them. Hopefully someone will adopt them. Have you tried aiming Dream Valley at her for ID purposes and some idea of value?

I know Dusky it's SO hard to even find g1s anywhere, so I was tempted but honestly I think as soon as I got them I would have regretted paying that.... I mean £30 is a massive amount of money to me at the moment, so they would have had to be rare ones for me to cough up lol.

To be honest if im buying second hand i find it hard to pay any more than £2 per pony (if they are in good condition). Baits are worth what 50p each. The only one worth anything is vanilla treats and shes not that popular either.
