Right now it seems to be website exclusive--none of the stores have it yet. But it is in stock right now online.
I know people will be disappointed that it seems to be yet another Target exclusive. Hopefully the Luna will turn up in another, non-exclusive, set.

I'm kinda torn about this set, on one hand I really just want the Luna but on the other hand the whole set does look very nice together.
I just don't think I really need yet another Celestia and Cadance when all I really want is the new Luna. If there were a cheaper alternative to get just Luna besides eBay I'd be all over that.
at least they finally painted Celestia's hooves though, lol.

I'm willing to order the set and ship it to people out of the USA at cost. If you want them loose it probay would be fairly cheap to ship. Not sure how much MIB set would weigh. Anyway PM me and I will get a order together.

Do items that say "not sold in stores" on Target's site usually end up in the store eventually? I really want this set, but I can't bring myself to order it online because I don't want to have to pay shipping and also because I don't trust that they'll send me one without any factory errors. They're not going to care if the eyes are properly lined up in the indentation, or if there's stray marks or smudged paint on the pony. Honestly, I don't know what they'd gain from selling her online only (I mean, it would still be less sales than if they had the set online and in stores) but the "not sold in stores" thing is worrying to me.

The Cadance/SA FS set also says "Not sold in stores," so I wouldn't trust it very much.

I've been trying to be good and wait for Lyra and the other new one's, but I couldn't resist seeing Luna and Cadence altogether. I will admit, also like others I'm a tad annoyed to have to get another Celestia, but it's cool. I just hope like others, that I'm not sent one's with crappy paint jobs, because I will complain and return it.

Paint jobs on the hooves would be annoying but work able, now if there's splotches of paint on the face or the eyes are messed up.. there will be some problems between me and Target. Ooh I hope mine ships out fast too.

That was Twilight Sparkle, and then there was another Luna that was released at Target with a poorly done Celestia...that luna was the same size as a $5 brushable and has scary eyes. x.x

Yay! I got mine this afternoon and the paint job on the eyes are fine. *phew* Just some plastic marks, not as big of a deal. Jeez does Hasbro ever get colors right? Cadence should be a lighter pink, not a in your face almost magenta.
I also can't believe how fast the shipping was.

Got mine today!! :frolic:
I LOVE the glitter (oh excuse me, "crystal sparkle") on their wings. That and the tinsel makes Cadance even prettier than the castle version (if that were possible). And because of it I might even keep the Celestia, rather than selling her as I had planned to.
My Luna has a paint scratch on one eye :( but it should be an easy fix. Celestia's hooves are about on par with the pics you've all posted.

I remember a few of us got the prototype princess luna before this came out. To me they look the same. All I really need is princess candence now X3

So what's different between the Cadence from this set and the Cadence from the Castle set, other than the outfits? Also, does the Cadence from this set have a head/body mismatch? I remember seeing some of her on eBay with a bad head/body mismatch, but I think it was the wedding castle version.

This Cadance has glitter on her wings & horn and tinsel (the clear, irridescent kind) in her hair. I think it makes her even prettier.
I don't notice a severe head/body mismatch on any of my Cadances in my current light, but I'm not the best at being able to tell.

For those that have ordered from Target: how is it? A weird question to ask, but how long does it usually take for an item to get to where you live (assuming you don't pick, like "express shipping" or something of the sort).

Three days, give or take? That's pretty good! :D Sounds like it's better than getting stuff from TRU - I try to avoid ordering stuff from them.
And it would be totally awesome if you get a hold of a set for me next time they are in stock (in case I miss out on it xD:). <3 I've been somewhat unlucky when it comes to online "in-stocks" for MLP. Getting Lyra from HasbroToyStore last week was sheer dumb luck on my end because I had to use my computer to do something school-related.

Seattle downtown Target- it's around 2nd and Pike I think. I got there very early (around 7:30) and previously I had been there at 8:15 every other day- and found nothing. I knew I should have picked up extras- I can check again tomorrow. I did actually manage to pick up an extra Trixie since I couldn't resist- I guess it is stupid to have two so if you want her (packaging removed)- you can buy her off me for whatever the price of those things was (like $5?). You could even pick her up at my office which is also downtown (pm me if interested) - it would be kind of hysterical to conduct pony business at the office- (it is not exactly a pony friendly place, hehe)

I dunno... I still question just how many Targets will be getting them in stock, and have them on the shelves...
Why? Well they JUST reset the toy area. I know I've been to several of my area Targets since the reset... and there just isn't a spot for these gals... :(
Granted... they could probably move items around, and GIVE them a spot... but the way my Targets have the POGs crammed on top of eachother... I just dunno.
What I find weird... is no matter WHAT city/zipcode I put in (I've tried several cities in CA... Las Vegas... and ALL of Arizona...) this set comes up as "out of stock". Newsflash Target! These have yet to be IN STOCK... >_<

Its not about being there early in the morning... at least not at the 3 or 4 Targets within 5 miles of me. There just isn't a SPOT there. If there's no spot... the item isn't... and hasn't... been in stock there.
Not to mention this "find in store" option wasn't available on the website until recently... I just find it odd that they just added that to the site... and rather than being "in stock" or "unavailable"... the item is "out of stock". I would think it would read "unavailable"... until they had them "in stock"... *shrug*

It's not showing up in stock near me anywhere either. Just 'out of stock'. I won't be expecting it at my Target.. they have virtually nothing for MLP outside of the g4 brushables and the glimmer wings ones.

About 2/3rds of the Targets near me say "out of stock" the rest say "not sold at this store" It seems like the set was in stock online every time I looked- but now is not.
I am curious as to how the store locator system works. Does a Target employee scan the pony before setting it on the shelf- automatically updating the store tracker? Or is there some other method? I will have to pester a Target employee friend...

Yes even if it is picked up by someone as soon as the doors open the item has been "in stock" in the system.
It is odd that its getting a limited release across only some stores...however it is true that some stores are simply not entitled to carry certain items and it does happen that retailers pick and choose where certain items go. I guess it may be one of those sets which is only going to be carried by a few of the outlets which have been entitled to it.

One cheery (?) note is that I'll bet the Luna shows up in another set that is not Target exclusive, just like Cadance. So there will probably be more opportunities to grab her. The glitter on the wings in this set is super pretty though. I prefer this Cadance to my Castle version one.

As Hasbro seem pretty determined to keep the "main" characters from the cartoon available all the time and as this line seems popular enough I am sure its got a few more years in it...all in I would be pretty certain we ll see all of the ponies in this set again a few times if the lack of new characters and imagination we have seen in the last 2 years is any indication!

I am positive the ponies will show up again. They will just look slightly different.
Taobao has a bunch of Luna and Cadence ponies that look like the ones in this set- except they have crystal eyes and tinsel in their manes- and some have odd gown things. They must be coming up next.

I can't decide whether or not to wait this set out...if these prototypes keep popping up with Luna and those crystal eyes...not to mention the white celestia prototype with crystal eyes...then maybe they will be in another set?
Actually, wouldn't it be awesome if the white brushable celestia and the new Luna came in a set together? :lol: :biggrin:

I would treat the current "in stock" with a bit of skepticism. I just received an order cancellation for the two I bought a couple nights ago :(

I'm a little peeved at Target. Wasn't having a good day/evening beforehand, and now this:
They had cancelled my order for this set (from a few days ago) as well. :( The email had a message saying this:
"A technical problem allowed the item(s) to be ordered even though we can't ship the item(s). This is usually due to either a lack of available inventory from our supplier or an address issue."
Unless they aren't able to mail to an apartment (which wouldn't quite make sense to me), I'm guessing it's lack of inventory? I hope it's not a case of "taking more orders than they should". Why cancel the order if you guys had have them "in stock" these last few days/nights? According to my e-mail, it had cancelled my order last night around this time. O_o
I decided to give them one more shot and re-ordered the set. Please don't frustrate me like TRU has, Target. :( I was quite looking forward to getting it, so I hope this order goes through okay. I really don't want to take the chance in waiting for this set to come to my Target, since the one I go to is kinda "eh" sometimes when it comes to toy restocks.

I finally gave in and bought this set. I was going to wait until they showed up in stores, but since it looks like they won't, I went ahead and bought them from a member on here. That way I can see the condition before buying, unlike on Target's site, where I could get sent a set with factory errors. From the looks of it, I would have had issues ordering anyway directly from Target, so I'm especially happy I got my set now.

Why? Well they JUST reset the toy area. I know I've been to several of my area Targets since the reset... and there just isn't a spot for these gals... :(
Granted... they could probably move items around, and GIVE them a spot... but the way my Targets have the POGs crammed on top of eachother... I just dunno.
What I find weird... is no matter WHAT city/zipcode I put in (I've tried several cities in CA... Las Vegas... and ALL of Arizona...) this set comes up as "out of stock". Newsflash Target! These have yet to be IN STOCK... >_<
I dunno... I HOPE they can be found in store... because the set is AWESOME... I just find it odd that it's listed as "out of stock" in sooooo many cities, where I doubt it's been IN STOCK at all... :lookround:
They don't have a spot yet. Target is doing revisions on the toy isles all throughout the season, like there is a new release of an old doll [Monster High] that is going out this week that doesn't have a shelf tag yet. They do revisions all the time. Don't fret, if there is a find in store option, I imagine they'll come to stores.

I want this Luna sooo much too. I was going to bid on one last night on ebay but it went up to £54 :shocked: and I didn't want to pay that much. I really hope there is another set released with her in it.

I'd reckon the set will be back in stock quick. I mean, look at the canterlot sets. Now they're practically everywhere online, and the set with Celestia and Twilight has even been re-released with different packaging.

My Target finally has the brushables regularly in stock- the wedding set and the Shining Armor/Cadence 15cm set- when previously they were sold SO FAST. So I suspect the princess set is right around the corner. Obviously some of the stores ordered the sets- or they wouldn't be showing up as an inventory item.
We don't know where those new sets (White Celestia + Pinkie and Luna + Rarity) will be released- but they must be around the corner judging from the number of them on Taobao now-
No TRU or Target exclusive stickers on the packaging either- so that is a good sign for those of you that hate exclusives. The prior sets definitely had the exclusive stickers even on Taobao- so they must put the packaging together all at once.
What I find interesting is that not only do the new/future Luna/Celeste sets not have glitter wings- they say they are "Crystal Empire" release toys- but if you look at Rarity and Pinky- they are the standard release brushables (they don't have the gem shaped eyes, tinsel in their manes - or clear bodies)

I was at Target today looking for the new mini figure sets and on the shelf there was a tag for this set! Nothing on the shelf though... so I asked someone who worked there about it and she said they are expecting this item in a upcoming shipment and I should try back in a couple days!
I'm gonna check back this weekend and I'll update if they actually get them in stock. I really hope so. I want it so much :frolic:

The toy reset is scheduled for next week, so your store probably just got ahead of itself. The product should be coming soon, I'm not sure if it's in our store yet. Had to spend this month's pony allowance on shirts!

LOL, oh, so true. It's hardly a liquidation, it wont be until the final days where you may even see *gasp* a whole 50% off :| I don't even know how they lasted as long as they did, The Hudson Bay company sure held on for dear life ;^^ Target will be a welcome change :)

I'm planning on selling my brushable size princesses: pink celestia, clear tinsel luna, clear tinsel cadence (ordered from target), and pre-release white celestia (from taobao). I just brought a set home a few minutes ago! By the look of the online stock checker, about 3 of the dozen or so Targets in my area have them listed as in stock now...hope everyone has good luck finding them :)

I really like the Luna from this set, but I want to get the white Celestia when she's released. I can't justify both sets when I only want one pony out of each of them. *Bangs head against wall* If the Celestia in this set had been white, it would've been absolutely perfect for me. As it is, I think I'm going to have to sadly skip this one.

Found a few sets at my Target today, one managed to come home with me along with all 3 new miniature collections. Now I must put the set away and wait till Christmas moring to free the Princess ponies as the set is intended as a present (just bought it early).
I have no explanation for what I typed after this point...
Princess Luna: "We have to wait how long till this plastic prison is opened?" :what:
Princess Cadance: " Christmas morning which is sometime in December, I think." :think:
Princess Celestia: "Do not worries little sister and niece, Christmas is on December 25 and I am sure we will be free after all presents are opened." :relaxed:

I have to wait until Christmas for this set as well. I got it quite some time ago, too, but my mom said I'm supposed to pretend I don't know about it so she can wrap it and put it under the tree. So it's been sitting in her closet since. She's doing the same with my Funko :muffin: Pony figure. She agreed to pay for it, but she said I have to wait until Christmas.

I checked my Target this morning (downtown Seattle) and there are a ton of these in stock.
They didn't have any of the new sets- but they had a bunch of brushables and FS Rarity and Luna (in case anyone cares)
