Title: Are you my mother? (now with sketches... a little pic heavy)
Post by: Marlin on July 24, 2012, 06:03:38 PM: Sheesh! I am worn out! I just drew my little heart out!

Anyone remember the book 'Are you my mother?', with the baby bird searching for his mum? I just spent the whole morning at my daughter's kindergarten drawing/copying many of the illustrations for an abridged version that one of the teachers wanted as a teaching resource :) It was good fun actually, but I haven't drawn that hard for a sustained period like that in a long time! My arm is tired from the effort of getting them done by the end of the kindy session! Not really my style of drawing, but it was good branching out :)

The sketches were pretty good too, I thought - wish I had some to share! Maybe I can take some piccies when the teacher has finished her super-sized magnet book :lol:

Anyway, I guess it's a bit of a silly story to share, but there it is! If anyone else has pressure cooker art stories, I'd love to hear them :)

I grew up with that book - I read that SO many times... I'd love to see the sketches when you have the chance to share them :D

I snuck the camera into kindy this morning, and took some photos of the sketches... I'l post a few below for kicks... Sorry about the quality, they're just quick snaps and the light in the art supply room was really bad!

Truthfully... I was a little relieved about that! :P :lol:
