The far-reaching effects of commercialism on your subconscious! URGH! Randomly I get jingles from adverts in my head ... it doesn't matter how old the spots in question are, or if the product is even being sold anymore. Does this happen to anyone else?
Also, post some of the worst offenders. (Remember to keep it Arena appropriate!)

Ok, there was this commercial that used to air here in the early 2000s that was a pest extermination commercial. I think it may have been Orkin Man but I cannot find a clip of the advert anywhere online!!! But I know 100% for a fact that it was real because it scared the life out of me and my little sister when we first saw it.
The commercial starts innocently enough and looks like an advertisement for dishwashing liquid such as Dawn, Palmolive, etc. Then all of a sudden, as the "commercial" is still going on, a big cockroach walks down the TV screen, and my sister and I legit couldn't tell if it was a real bug or a fake bug... But we were like "It has to be real! This is a dishwashing detergent commercial!!" This was around 1AM at night and we were about to wake up our dad screaming to get him to kill the roach that was roaming around the screen. But then the Orkin Man(?) appears in the corner of the commercial and sprays it dead. Anyone else remember this commercial?

The best commercial I ever, ever, ever saw was from a local landscaping place in Darlington South Carolina. Looking now I can't find it, shame. It was so hilarious. Their theme song, set to banjo music, had lines like this, "Got an ugly stump? We'll blow it up! Darlington Outdoor!"

I think it was for an eye doctor but it had a lady going "here kitty kitty" but the kitty was a skunk. I know it wasn't the point but I thought the skunk was cute.

Not one stuck in my head, but you reminded me of one that I saw years ago. It was during the Super Bowl, and I have noooo idea what it was for (beer? kitty litter? jeans?) but it was a bunch of cowboys herding kittens across fields/under fences, etc and talking about how it's a hard job but someone's gotta do it.
When I saw this thread, the first thing that went through my head was "double-quilted, quicker-picker-upper! BOUNTY" but as I rarely watch tv anymore, I usually only get a jingle in my head if I'm by a toy aisle in a store and see one from the 90s. (gator golf, hungry hungry hippos, etc)

I'm positive it was a skunk and it was outside. Maybe the local eye place had seen the Sears one and was inspired by it.

There was an advert on about a decade for some brand of beer, that followed a handful of guys as they meandered about and fibbed to women about what they do for a living to make themselves seem more impressive. One of the guys said 'Yeah, I race Formula 3 cars', his friend elbowed him, and the guy corrected himself, saying 'I mean, Formula 1'.
But Formula 3 is a racing class! It's out there, it's sanctioned by the FIA, the worldwide governing body on motorsport regulations. My dad and I saw that and were like 'but...Formula 3 is a thing! It's a pretty high tier of motorsports, too!'.

Love the Staples commercial; my sister's an English teacher and I remember her liking it a lot, too. :D
One of the ones that stuck with me from childhood was the My Buddy doll. That jingle stayed with me for ages. :)
