Hiya
So I'm just wondering what other people think here.... I spotted an auction on ebay for a TAF Fifi but with green bows. It looks incredibly similar to one sold as a custom recently - right down to the ribbon in her tail. The sellers both have different usernames. The original, as per link below, sold it as a custom. The new seller isn't mentioning that - seems to be suggesting it is original/a variant even....

Oh really? Not good :( I thought it very odd - esp since they are claiming the 'green bows fifi' is theirs from childhood. I mean, did they not think it a good idea to remove the ribbon lol? Bit obvious!!!!

Has anyone reported her to eBay?

o.0 maybe it's just me but the auction description says it's been customized and the colors have been changed

hey sorry if my post was confusing Alatariel - yes that link is to the first seller, who described her properly as being a custom.
It appears as if the pony was bought by someone who is now selling it as an original hasbro design. they didn't even remove the ribbon from the tail so she looks like the exact same pony to me. I can't link to that though because it is a live auction. However, I jsut found a thread in the corral asking about her and that shows the auction photo:

Uh oh :/ The pic in the new auction is also blurry enough that the paint strokes aren't visible! I will send a report about the auction to eBay if no one else has yet.

yup! that clarified it :3 and yeah it's definitely a custom, the symbols aren't precise enough to be factory

I am the only person who cannot find the new auction. LOL! Must have ended. :\
I hope someone reported her and notified the original seller. There are so many reasons to not use eBay.

I can't find the new auction on ebay only the old one where the pony was sold as a custom. What do I have to write to find the second seller who is most likely a scammer?

At least it didn't go too high. Hm. Now you have to wonder who won her and whether or not they're aware that she is, in fact, not a variant. To quote hathorcat, "This one has me befuddled."

Ah, thanks for the explanation later on, i was looking at the first link and thought: 'Uhh.. it says it's a custom!' But i see it's about the 2nd auction. The first link makes it a bit confusing.
I'm glad it didn't go too high like Yuru said, but STILL. It's not really fair to not mention it's a custom... although reading the orig add, they also don't say it's a original pony, right?

eBay has been really slow to take down auctions lately, I did send in a report about it. Oh well :/

Lets hope the buyer gives that scammer a neg when that pony arrives and its an obvious custom. How could she say that it was played with by her when she was a child?! :throw: :mad:

well...the pony could in fact have been played with by her as a child and customized later on. . . Still sucks for the buyer =(
