Title: What is your ponysona's name?

Inspired by the "what is your ponysona's color?' thread, I'm curious to know the name of your main personal pony and why you chose it :) It took me forever to think of my own pony's name, Inkling, but now that I have it I love it since I think it suits her perfectly as a thoughtful, artistic little pony with a love of old fashioned story-telling and illustrating.

I have to revamp this picture. I created her in 2007 I believe, but now one of the Wonderbolts from the new series has my girls symbol...it really hurt to see because I loved her as she is =/

Yukara - It's the name of the main character in my book
Hibiscus - I didn't choose her name, Sparky did. She designed her for me.
Kurumi - Kurumi is a name that makes me think of hamsters and her symbol is a hamster.

Thank you sweetie, I was actually shocked to glimpse it in the show after someone mentioned wonderbolt had the symbol on DA. I have to revamp it somehow but nothing feels right yet...

Mine is Sakura. For a little while my boyfriend and I called each other Baka and Sakura as nicknames, and Sakura stuck as my persona's name.

My boyfriend's are Riordyn and Darsol. Rior is named after the pet I have dedicated to him on Subeta, and his name means 'little poet king' which is super fitting (aside from the little part, boyfriend is 6'7" xD). Darsol is the 'default' UN/character name he uses all over the place, so I thought it was most fitting seeing as how Darsol embodies his gaming.

Mine is Sprinkles! :) I didn't really come up with her fully... My first pony was a Boley fakie who had the same colors as her. I gave mine a different cutie mark and called her Sprinkles because of the color of her hair. At the time, I didn't know that there was a real pony named Sprinkles! XD

Mine is Finesse ^^ she comprises some of my most notorious physical aspects (brunette, curly hair, wears glasses), my favorite colors and my love for painting, especially on a small scale (hence the name Finesse :P because painting tiny needs a lot of delicacy and patience!).

Same as my username, Zenobiaa. It's a bit of a long story, but I'll explain. She was originally meant to be a pony version of my hero character in a Facebook game. Since she was part zebra, I wanted to give her a name different than a regular pony name, like Zecora. So I started out with "Ze" and did what I always do when naming something- stick random letters onto each other until you get a decent sounding name (It's the only way I can make up a decent name, I'm a horror at naming :drunk:). In the end, I came out with "Zenobia", but when naming my character that name was already taken, so I added in an extra "a" at the end and it worked. I grew really attached to her, and kept drawing her long after I stopped playing the game.

Siren.

My favorite animal is the manatee and manatees are the real world sirens of the sea. Manatees comprise three of the four living species in the order Sirenia, the 4th being the dugong. Siren's cutie mark is a manatee holding a balloon and enjoying the company of a cute little starfish. It took me a while to decide on her name once I got the cutie mark decided, but she was the ponysona that stuck with me.

Pinprick!  Because I didn't want to make a stupid "sew" pun.  I hate "sew" puns with a firey passion.
I also love the way it sounds in general though.  Alliteration is wonderful!  And it's less tacky than all the other options you get when trying to figure out a sewing-related name.  It's kind of cute and little sounding.

Hehe! Mine is Solar Chaser...and he comes from the pony name generator.  It came up with this and I immediately thought "That's ME!"  I love the sdun LOL  I also liky pegasi/flying, and chasing after things. XD

Mine is my user name, FlutterBlossom. (I am still working on her though, I have drawn a few sketches but stuck at whether she should be yellow with a blue mane or light blue with a blonde mane).

If you are stuck and need help, here's an easy way of naming your ponysona! First, take a pony who has a similar personality to you who has a compound name (Fluttershy). Take out the first word (Flutter). Then, take another pony with a coumpound name you love (Lily Blossom) and take the second word (Blossom). Then combind the two to get your ponysona! (FlutterBlossom)

Examples:
Rainbow Dash + Dewdrop Dazzle = Rainbow Dazzle (My sister's ponysona)
AppleJack + Plumsweet = Apple Sweet
Twinkle Shine + Diamond Rose = Twinkle Rose

My persona's name is Crow Enigma. Crows are my favourite birds, so intelligent and clever, and I've been told by those who know me that I can be a bit of a mystery. Thus, "Crow Enigma" was born, even if the name doesn't make much sense when I think of it now. :P

Hmm, well I don't really make persona characters. I make so many characters, but I feel nothing fictional can really represent me. They can have a few parts of me I suppose. That being said my girl's name is Nakoma. She's based off one of RL foals I raised ( my family raises paints and quarter horses). My dad's family is mostly Native American, but we don't talk about it.  Anyway when my lil fav baby was born mom said she looked like some sort of Indian pony, and she wanted to name her. I had no problem with it and picking what she knew, she took a name from Disney's Pocahontas movie.

Haha, mine doesn't exactly go along with the pony idea not having a pony like name or an exact persona. I just kinda picked things that represented me a tiny bit, but were mostly part of my horse.

Mine is Senior Muertos. XD Not really much of a "sona", but as close as I'll ever get. He was actually named by my friend while developing background stories for him and her pony. Up until then he had been referred to as "that one undead pony"

Mine's Tall Tails, since my IRL special talent is writing and telling stories of all sorts, and I wanted that represented in my ponysona. She's also tall, like me, so it's a good play with the tall tale pun/name/thing.

'course I found out about the G1 Tall Tails after the fact, so of course I had to buy one of her!

This is so much fun! My ponysona is in the make by Berrymouse, but I still don't have aname. I am really bad at it. She is peach and her symbol is a zilver with bits of pink Tiara. So I thought of naming her Tiara, but not sure yet. It has to be a princess like name haha :blush:
I thought of her because I am a real girly girl and I am crazy about everything pink and shiny haha. She is a cute shy pony like me ^.^

I have two -

Midnight - my persona from when I was a kid :) She's just the coolest, most aloof thing ever and rarely makes an appearance any more (well she is about 25 years old now!) but she is beautiful

Cool, I like everyones' ponysonas.  I just made one not too long ago, but haven't had a chance to do a nice drawing of her. Bright Idea is her name, and she in in my profile pic right now. I have quite varied interests/hobbies, but if I had to choose one thing that sums me and my life up, it is coming up with good ideas, shedding light on problems, and looking at things a different way. Also her name is silly because you can use it sarcastically. "Whose bright idea was it to ..."

These are amazing! Everyone is so creative...I have always just kept to Baby Fifi...her name and her colours hold a special importance to me and her symbols are relevant too...so I have kind of adopted her as my own :)...she is as close to a persona as I can offer

She was my persona when I first started to draw ponies, so I wanted to use her. Since I'm lazy, and don't colour pictures, I'll just tell you that she's brown with a much lighter brown mane and tail  :biggrin:
Her name mean Techknowledge (I think...) in Irish, Which is my ancestors birthplace
and her cutie mark is a heart with a wire wrapped around it, and the connectivity bars coming out of it, because I aspire to be a web developer c:

Cystals and Beyond. It all actually started when I was making up a herd of unicorns when I was younger and naming them all. I would find a pretty pic of a unicorn on the internet and name it. It was pretty fun, and then I came across a picture of a unicorn galloping through long grass and flowers. The whole thing looked kind of dreamy and glassy-crystal like and I decided I had to come up with the perfect name for her. I knew it had to be Crystal Something, or Something Crystal. And then I stumbled upon Crystals and Beyond. I thought it sounded soooo pretty and I've used the name many times after that.

my OC is named Spooky.
 It was my nickname in high school (much to my chagrin) It stuck for a while, and was my user name for a lot of things. I used to draw a G3 pony and just called him "Spooky's pony" time past, the nickname finally went away, and spooky's pony became Spooky. because even tho it was silly, the name had a special meaning to me behind it.

Miss. Match.  Because the honorific Miss. suggests she's a lady, and Match suggests a certain tidiness and propriety--think matching socks, a good match, matchmaker.  But the conjunction of Miss/Match annuls the connotations of the individual words--which is ironic, since a Match denotes a pairing, and a mismatch breaks the possibility of it.  It's like her name is torn apart at the junction.
  Also, Miss. Match isn't a lady by any means--she's more of a punk rocker, slam poet type of pony.  The conflict in the name and its very UNsuitability makes its suitable for her.
  (Obviously, I spent way too much time in lit classes :P)

This shall be my ponysona. Her name is Patches and she shows a lot of me. She has my favourite colors, her symbol is a plush-kitty (as I adore cats and collect toys). Her patches stand for all the things, thats happened throughout my life. Some are good ones, some reminds be of bad things.

My ponysona is named Sweet Soulmate.  She is red with chocolate brown legs, eyes, mane and tail.  Her symbol is two crossed candy canes dipped in chocolate, with peppermint candies trailing down the back leg.  She also has a white blaze above her nose.

My original ponysona is Beaux-Arts - the French word for "fine arts", but also a pun on the fact that I love bows and arts!

My newer one (the one in my signature) is Flamenco, named after the Spanish dance.

Both show my love of French and Spanish! *is a language student* :P

My ponysona's name is Moonlight Charmer. I stumbled across a pony name generator on tumblr. The generator named me Moonlight Charmer. I liked the name so I decided to name my Ponysona Moonlight Charmer.

Dillie D. Dillies are based off of a venus flytrap/mutant flower type creature that I sculpted, and I adore Little shop of horrers! The D in Dillie D's name - my real first name starts with a D and some of my friends call me Daffodil (also the Dillie is a play on the Daffodil)

Just "Kiwi". I'm not really sure why. I was just playing with the outline in MS Paint (yes, that far back) and coloured it with my favourite colours at (somewhat) random. Eventually I decided to use it as my persona, and for some reason a symbol of a kiwi fruit came to mind - no idea. The name seemed to fit well - cute and short, easy to remember.

Mine is Child Heart. Sounds like a care bears name doesn't it? XD I based her off myself. I have always liked the saying "I'm still a big kid at heart" Still am :3 The colors of her are my favorites. The cutie mark is a brown bear hugging a huge heart. Since I still love collecting toys very much as adult.

Yep I made up my mind and I calles my Ponysona Princess Tiara. I know it isn't that original and creative, but it was the first thing that popped in my mind and I just couldn't imagine her with a other name.

I've never been able to give her an "official" name, as she's more or less a wild animal, so I just call her Little Fox, hence my username.

And yes, that's her in my avatar and sig.

Windsong. :) There's a lot of details to how the name started, but it ended up at being a pony in black and white with musical notes trailing off into the wind. Someone wanting to speak out, but the song keeps getting lost in the wind. Here's a picture:

Fast Beat. For 2 reasons, the first , because I love music (But her symbol is a pencil making pixels), and the second is because when I was coming up with her name my friend was helping and I randomly said "My heart is beating fast.." and she told me to name her Fast Beat!
