I'd have a bad feeling using it.. I would not know how it holds up in the long term since it was not designed to last for years nor even months.
Acrylics would be the better choice, imo. But of course not everyone has those at home. :/
I also have heard good things about Mattel's customer service.. never had to contact them myself, tho.

I went shopping with my dad, little sister and my cousin today. We also stopped at the toy shop! I showed my little sister the Abbey plushie (suggestion from the previous thread as to what to buy a three year old that loves Abbey!) but she didn't seem to like it that much. She did ''awww'' and said Abbey looked really sweet but ran off to buy LPS cats, haha. xD
I saw a signature Ghoulia but she missed her lower arm. I went to the cashier to inform her about it and maybe buy her if I was able to get her for a lower price! The cashier was shaking the box fiercely and found Ghoulia's arm! She checked to see if she could fix it and got Ghoulia out of the box. But she couldn't fix her.. My dad said I should just get a new (non-broken) one and that he would pay for it. So right now I have a signature Ghoulia (one of my favourites!) standing next to me. Really, I have the sweetest dad ever. He loves buying me things (for my collection) or helping me find things and making me happy, I love that guy. :heart: :3

Um, out of curiosity, what are the big 'wants' that people would like to see from the MH line in the future? Is there a particular type of monster you wish they'd make, a theme for a new line of the existing dolls, or new furniture? New siblings?

Just thought i'd come out of lurking and finally say hi too, i'm not really new to collecting Monster High I started around Christmas, Spectra was my first doll (the only doll i want and like, i swear :P) Followed by Abbey about a week later. I now have 13 :blink: Everyone is right when they say its addictive!
Cupid's hair feels hard, I think some brushing will help that. I prefer her without her wings, though, mine are lopsided a little.

So this isn't uncommon? She was the least crazy-headed of the ones that Walmart had. I am now addicted :)
Ironically, my husband said he prefers MH dolls to MLP... he says "it fits you more" At least he is supportive of my hobbies though :)

When I wrote them about my defective Rochelle, they just sent me a voucher. Sending the doll back for a replacement (assuming they send you a replacement doll and not a voucher) seems a bit like a crapshoot on the off-chance that your replacement doll comes with a bigger defect than the one you started out with.

I keep all of my dolls MIB, no rhyme or reason, just do. Anyway's.... I have two B&W Frankies... and currently they're both in the box... but I was thinking since I don't want to get rid of one... I would just open one... would you guys do it? I know most of you open all of your dolls... and I do get to enjoy opening them for people when I ship de boxed, and I know it'll be YEARS before any of them are worth anything, if they ever are worth anything, but it's not so much trying to keep value for me as it is loving to see thing's in their original packaging. So should I say screw it and open one since I have another to keep in the box?

Most of them I debox right away, but I don't think I would have enough space to keep them all MIB. Plus I enjoy playing with them too much!

Yeah, the humidity here is AWFUL. My house gets to about 93 during the day and feels like it's at least 10 degrees hotter than that (we lack central A/C in the main rooms of the house e.e). The entire floor would be covered in toys. She could sit for hours playing with the ponies and dolls (my nephew preferred the Nintendo lol). She was always real careful with them too, and put everything back up.

Ahhh that CAM werewolf wig almost drove me insane! I tackled it with a brush - just slowly made my way through it until it was somewhat brushable! A LOT of hair came out of mine!

I've noticed with dolls that have their hair up, or otherwise have it done up with curls they tend to skimp out on the plugs... my DT Frankie and DDG Spectra have rather thin looking hair if I move the hair in certain ways.. my basic Operetta isn't TOO bad, but you can tell where they skimped out.

Okay, I'm wondering what to do-- four days ago I ordered the Draculaura/Clawd set from Amazon and they still haven't shipped it out yet. There's a cancel order button but they've already charged me for the set and I really do want to get it, I love that version of Draculaura and don't have a Clawd yet. If they still haven't shipped out by Tuesday or Wednesday, I may go ahead and cancel. They have this set at the local TRU but it saves me $7 by ordering from Amazon.

I totally agree with this! I would be so sad by the fact she misses like.. a quarter of her hair or something? When I was younger I loved to give my dolls all these crazy hairstyles (still do) so I don't understand why they thought this would be okay. D:

Since you also have the CAM kitty, I want to ask you something. Are her upper limbs (upper arms and upper legs) a slight shade lighter than the lower limbs? Mine is like this, and I was wondering if that is just how they were made.

In regards to frizzy mess hair i used some leave in conditioner spray on my basic Operetta's frizz and her hair is nice now (i also boiled it but i think the conditioner helped alot) and to define her curls i wrapped small sections of hair around my finger.
I've seen some (silicone?) BJD wig cap things that protect the head from the wig and stop it from slipping off and was wondering if i could find one small enough, would it be possible to root one and turn it into a wig for the CAMs?
There's never anything wrong with some picspam! (I think I'll stick some of my own at the end of this post, hehe)
I love those outfits... the one you threw together for Spectra is my favorite... and you can never go wrong with the Ghost CAM dress, haha.

LOLI don't think there's an exact date, but it's highly speculated (I wanna say there was at least one 'source' that said this as well) that they will be for the holiday season, which makes sense because stores like that will often only get good toy sales during the holiday season.

Neeeed that amazing Clawdeen and Frankie, but I am still unfortunately in the "ack, my eyes!" camp as to Ula and, well, almost everything about her searing lime green get-up. I knew she'd eventually have some styles I really didn't like, but I wish it didn't have to be in something as close to my heart and with as much potential as the fairy tale themed line.
I don't about the rest of you, but I'm thinking "forget the other girl dolls - MAKE THAT HEATH AND HOLT!" ahaha. Someday, somehow, Mattel is going to make a Monster boy actually dressed in fashions that appeal to me.

It does. I'm honestly surprised that she was fine (other than lip stick smudge and a loose elbow, both of which were most likely factory problems.. not from FedEx's horrid treatment of the item added to Walmart not knowing how to ship things.
I've never had issues with TRU.. heh. Though I do the same and remove things from box and am fine so long as the doll itself is fine... I still pitch a fit. Things should be shipped out in a way that nothing should happen to the contents. I understand that the mail service (USPS, UPS, Fedex, doesn't matter) can be a tiring thing on packages.. but that's the point of proper packing. I shouldn't have to rush to get my product out of the box to make sure it isn't damaged, and if I had been an in box collector I'd be devastated to see that. /rant.
...I get ranty when my fiance is asleep. Oops. xD

I went to my work today and there was this end cap of 1600s mixed with signature. They have lots of Lala, Clawdeen (sig) and Frankie. There was also the DT bed with Clawdeen, fashion packs and the car. I also saw the witch/cat CAM (which my locker wasn't big enough to hold so I didn't buy it) and the vamp/garg boy CAM. I really wish my locker was big enough, I would have bought one of each doll. I hope they have them still there on Monday when I go back to work. I been looking for a Abby of any sorts for my daughter for her birthday, but no luck.

saply: Lagoona's flower is constructed sort of like a closepin, only there isn't any way to really tighten it on her hair like a clip. You can just slip it in her hair and hope it stays put. If you get her out of the box, it's probably held on with a thin clear elastic.All right, thanks! That's good, I was worried it was permanently attached or something.

My sister and I wanted to head to TRU today (MLP BOGO- and we wanted to see if there were Wave 3 blindbags to be found) so we did this afternoon. The first TRU had zip blindbags, but we always check the MH section now. So we headed over to another TRU... they had the right Wave of blindbags, but no Big Mac (the only one we wanted!). We checked the MH section there, too. In total, we saw:
- All of the Ghouls Rule ghouls
- CAMs (witch/werecat, gargoyle/vamp boy, seamonster/vamp, bee, skeleton, 3-eyed ghoul)
- Cupids (the one with the diary- I don't think that's the 1600 one)
- SS Frankie, LaLa, Ghoulia, and Abbey (and the 5 pack!)
- 1600 Frankie (maybe Clawdeen- can't remember which version of her)
- Both of the I <3 Fashion girls
- Some sort of LaLa, Clawdeen, and Spectra (not sure which versions they were)

- LaLa's powder room w/ doll
- Ghoulia's scooter (some with, some without doll)
- Clawdeen's bed

Also, Rhuen refuses to stand, and I can see the faintest hints of those white marks that stretched plastic gets. I obviously don't want to ruin her, but how else can I make her stable?

Spectra's hair is kanekalon and not saran like most of the other girls. Newer releases of Ghoulia (including later releases of wave 1 Ghoulia) also use kanekalon which gives it that wispy, fluffy look and feel.

For the past week, a Mattel rep has been investigating the answer to my question (if she would available online after the Con) and called me today to say that she will only be available at the SDCC. She was so nice and I appreciated her efforts to find out....she had called last week to give me an update and told me she forwarded the inquiry to the proper people and call me again....and she did....even though it was bad news, she kept her word!

Just to be 100% clear, she uses the same body size mold as the rest of the core gang, right? I remember there was some speculation that she might be using Nefara's taller body mold and that there was something about the way her body looked in the promo shots that implied this. When I see pictures of the two boxes close to one another though, they look similar in height.

I had to work out of town today, and was able to stop at two Kmarts and a Toys R us. I snagged SIgnature Nefera and Operetta for $20, and DotDead Lagoona for $22!
My issue is Lagoona. Her lower arms and hands do not have the same sheen as the rest of her body. The only way to describe it: they look Chaulky... is this normal? should it all have the pearlescent tone? She also has a paint scuff one the backside of one forearm, and her pinky is bent really severely....
Any insight?

So, Polterghoul could possibly be inspired by Superghoul I mean Supergirl. I get Cat villainess Toralei and Wonder Wolf but who would Skull Steamer be based off of? Would she be a supervillain?

I'm still on the fence. I definitely want Venus, but I just don't really like Robecca. I think I'll have to wait to see her in person before deciding.

Today I went to Target with my mom because she went grocery shopping, and I wanted to go look at dolls. There were atleast 15 of Lala's cars, the Gloom Beach 5 pack, Skull Shores, the CaM sets, Fashion Packs on clearance for $5.50, and... the Clawdeen/Howleen Pack :DDDDD But I had no money with me to get them, and my mom said no when I asked if she could buy them for me :yikes:
Luckily, my area has no scalpers, and no one really buys MH dolls around here either, so I will probably be able to get Howleen :)

I dislike exclusives because they're always located in the US! I can't go to walmart/argos/toysrus/etc. So I miss out on a lot of things!

Scarah sold out today in 30min. I was near the end of the line when I found out. Tomorrow I'll be heading there first instead of Hasbro, but can't guarantee I'll even get any then. They told me they are only selling 500 a day and I heard a rumor that they may not even have enough for all 4 days. to say im p~d off would be the biggest understatement of the century. I did get some great pics of the dolls tho.

she looks like she has the CAM neck bulb that would mean it is able to go on and off easily but will remain fairly well in place ... but have less poseability ...Ah, I've never gotten a good look at the CAM neck plugs, so I didn't see the similarity.

Target doesn't do adjustments on clearance items. You'll have to return it and then re-buy. Typically you have to actually go and get another one from the floor, but depending on the item (and the store) they might let you return and re-buy the same one.

That's lame. TRU has a policy where if the price has changed within 2 weeks you can bring your reciept in for a price change. Luckily we don't do it often, but we'll do it if say, a person buys a doll and it goes on sale the next week. ;.; Oh well.

After watching this, I'm really looking forward to this movie. It looks really fun (for a movie aimed at tweens lol), and it looks like all the characters get screen time. Oooh, and voices for Rochelle and Robecca! Venus speaks in it as well, but we've heard her before. And first time on-screen appearance of one of the parents!

Like aside from the general lack of product knowledge, I've been flat out lied to. Once I heard the employee chit chatting in the background when they were supposed to be looking for my item and another time the employee flat out lied and said they didn't have any cam packs and when I went, they had 6. Same here... I'm never satisfied just calling the stores, because the people I've talked to in the different toy departments never sound like they know anything about what's on the shelves. Once I asked which dolls they had in stock and they called Clawdeen "Claudia" >_> I hate to burn the gas searching, but I just don't trust the store employees that I've talked to... (no offense to anyone to works at Target, Walmart, etc.)

Hehe, late to this convo, but I think the reason why it seems like terrible retail workers are a plenty because they tend to stand out in our mind. Or maybe we've had a bad day and what seems like a bad worker, isn't so much.
But whatever the reason, just remember, there are those of us who are nice! :D We're just overshadowed by the not so nice ones.
I've actually had no problems with employees outside of a bit of miscommunication. Heck, I even had one who went out of her way for me. Sadly the doll I wanted wasn't there, but we tried! :D

I know as collector's we're very tapped into and invested in the lines and the average employee isn't, so it's very easy for them to get confused or not realize what item I'm talking about.

Yeah, good and bad employees aside, I never trust my hunting to a phone call simply b/c I know what I'm after b/c I collect it, they probably don't and as a result are less likely to know "EXACTLY" what I'm talking about. Fun story, just the other night at Walmart, my checker was like "Monster High...I've never heard of that. (Then next checker over) Oh my granddaughter LOVES those! I just bought her the cotton candy one for her birthday, and she has the one that you put in the slime container too!" It was really sweet, they asked me if it was a gift or collecting, and they were very sweet, but obviously not that "into" the toys lol.Yep! :) This reminds me of when I bought physical deaducation Ghoulia, the checkout line was really long and this random lady started talking to me about her XD She seemed really interested in the line so I told her quite a bit about them. Another time i was getting some dead tired dolls and the lady checking out in front of me was like oh is that those dead tired dolls! She knew the name but really nothign else about them.

......I like this concept, but if they ARE Target exclusives, I would have rather seen an expansion of the Scary Tales line rather than start up something new.

I love the superheroines. It's not like other lines that slap another pink dress on the same doll over and over:) I think they thought outside of the box with Spectra's face stripe, and I like that. It's a feature that not many dolls could pull off, or doll makers for that matter. I wonder if they have to fight to release some of these dolls the way they want, from the sales point of view. Anyway. I would have LOVED a Scary Tales expansion, but who knows, maybe those are in the works too:)
Also, I'd like to say, I'm so so so glad that the reveals at CC are new and not anything from the recently leaked photos. I was sad that nothing would be a surprise, and new and exciting this year. I was wrong. And I'm glad.

As for the super hero dolls, I really like Spectra's make up, but other then that she reminds me of Banshee from X-men. And Clawdeen just looks like she's weilding a trash can lid in a bathing suit. It's not what I imagined for super hero style compared to Ghoulia's. There should be more mystery in the face and outfits. Yes yes I know there are many super heroes that can go around without a mask and never be identified (Superman comes to mind the most), but that's not the point here.

I got my very first CAM set today, Vampire and Sea Monster starter pack (with 2 torsos!) But is it just me, or does that wig just suck? I can't get it on either head, it just looks like it's perched way up high like a toupee. I'm glad I got backup Liv wigs on clearance.

I don't really think that about the doll universe since Jackson is a "normie" and they know about him. I know in the book universe, them being monsters is kept secret. Jeez, so many diffrences between worlds! I guess this also explains why in the SS special, the magician guy and the elephant guy, who were normies, weren't freaked out they were monsters, haha. I think monsters and normies coexist there's just a lot of prejudice between the 2. But who knows, that might just be in the Webisode universe, doll universe wise, I guess it's reversed and Normies to monsters are that of make believe like monsters are to us.

The tails on the werecats are removable actually and should pop right out with a little pressure. :) I actually didn't realize it when I first got Meowlody and Purrsephone since their tails were different from Toralei's (which is also removeable). I kept carefully maneuvering their shirts over the tails when redressing them and thought it was such a huge pain, lol.

Agreed about the Rochelle comparison. I saw it right away, too. I suppose the similarities could be because they are both from Scaris? This is just a guess, though. The purse gave me that impression. Plus she comes from the Scaris line, and her name is quite french sounding.

I've been thinking about getting some MH dolls, but the main issue is that my pet rabbit lives in my room with me. And she sheds. Like crazy. Two days after I dust, it's back again, and it gets everywhere. For my special collection items, I have to cram them into a tiny display case that I have. (I only have two ponies in there...the rest are gathering stupid loads of dust on my dresser e_e my poor Fizzy...) I DON'T want these dolls to get messed up if I do get any...can someone recommend a good size case for these dolls? When I collected beanie babies, they had specific plastic rectangular cases that were made for them to be displayed in. Can anyone recommend anything that MH dolls would fit in? I want to have them on stands in cases. I don't have enough $ to get a free-standing case - I loked at Ikea, and they have one for 64$ but...my room is also carpeted, and I don't know where to put it. I can't have anything wooden because the rabbit chews. On. Everything. (sigh -_-) How can I protect Mh-sized dolls?

I have buns too and i know how it can be with there fur.. ( everywhere!! LOL) also you have to protect the dolls from beng bunny chew toys and
like you said anything wood LOL
that said , i baracade everything i don't want them to chew on when they are out. I use those grid shelf displays and zip tie them around stuff to make walls the bunnies can't get through to chew. you might buy a display and then try barricading the buns from chewing the furniture.
another thought is just to keep maybe one or 2 dolls out of box and keep the rest MIB. I keep most of my dolls MIB just because it is easier to clean dust and animal hair off boxes than dolls ;) plus i like how they look MIB. I just have a few deboxed to play with.

Haha. I think my fiance would have slapped me if I found the Werewolf sisters at the Targets on Saturday, I actually didn't bother to check the Clearance sections... but he did! What a sweetie I have, he doesn't even like either of them and he looked for me <3!Huh that's so weird to me because I ask all the time and no one has ever told me no or made any kind of big deal about it. I've done it multiple times at Target and TRU and the employees really couldn't seem to care less. The guy I had get them did ask if they had a shelf tag yet, and when I said no he just put the box back. It's different I think if it's some kind of unreleased secretive product, but the dolls are on Target's website and if I can see that they're in stock I feel I should be able to purchase them. If you can't let me have them, don't tell me they're in stock til I can. I guess it's more of an issue at particular stores, but it's definitely not an all Targets everywhere policy from what I've experienced.

While I know a lot of store employees in places will do that sort of stuff.. there is usually hard street dates for these items and they stick them in the system to make sure they can throw them out on the shelves right away. That being said... that guy probably got into A LOT of trouble for breaking the street date. My fiance unknowningly did that (asked for stuff that wasn't supposed to be out yet) at our Target for some Transformer's figures... and now our Target refuses to go into the back for stock for any 'popular' toys (Transformers, most of the Marvel movie stuff, MH, ect) because of it.. signs everywhere that tell you not to ask. And even then, I asked about the ST dolls and they were like "Nope, can't do that. Sorry, nope"

Congrats to Rhini and Airiel for finding the Scary Tales dolls! :)I never ask at customer service, I always find an employee in that section or usually electronics right next to it. Customer service people put up with all kinds of crazy requests all day and I think are probably apt to just say no, whereas most employees I find on the floor just look bored and are like sure why not XD
With Target, I've had mixed luck getting employees to pull cases from the back. There's a younger gentleman who works in the customer service department that will always offer to go look or have someone out back check for me, and I've gotten really lucky with some MH and MLP items that way, but the ladies working there will usually just give me a generic "if it's not out of the shelf, we don't have it" reply. I won't argue about it since it's probably their store policy, so I now try to see who's working before I even bother to ask.
I really hope Venus and Robecca start popping up on the east coast soon. It's driving me nuts knowing they've been released in only one half of the country, lol. I want something to go looking for, I haven't purchased a new doll in months. :lookround: The fact that they share their DCPI number with about 18 other potential dolls is frustrating though, it makes it so difficult to ask someone what you're looking for.

Go to the site, and place a random item in the cart, go to checkout, and farther down it asks you to create an account if you don't have one. Enter your email and a password, and all the shipping info it asks for, and click the continue to billing button at the bottom. It will accept all that info, and just clear the cart and exit, and it keeps the login info. You'll still have to enter a card when you buy her, but that takes care of part of it. When I set myself up to buy my sdcc tickets, to speed up the credit card info, I typed everything into notepad ahead of time, then just copy-pasted it all at checkout instead of typing it, helped speed it up.
Price should be the same. It better be lol.

I decided that I quite like DT Lagoona. Of course, because she comes with the Hydration Station, it would be too expensive to have shipped here to NZ. So I asked Mattel Australia if she would ever be available here and I've just received their response: "Unfortunately there are no plans at this stage to range the Lagoona Hydration Station with doll in New Zealand." :(

Whaaat?! I didn't even realize this was Wave 1, I just assumed she was 2! That makes this find even more random jeez. :drunk: She's too old to be a return, where the heck did she come from?? This is the second Wave 1 doll I've found (the other being Clawdeen) in a Target waayy past when they should have been long gone. Both boxes showed obvious signs of wear and Clawdeen had been in her box so long her glue seepage had seeped right through her box. I wonder what happened that caused both of them to get left behind. :what: Not that I'm complaining :P

Looks like she had some fun with my MH dolls while she was here though because they were all displayed on my bedside table posed and wearing accessories they were not previously x) It's pretty neat because previously she's just rolled her eyes at any collections or even interests of mine. She also bought me new shelves for my ponies and art supplies!

My TRU haul today. Didn't even know the 3 outfit dolls were released down here yet! I'm never this lucky. I had such a sucky day and figured retail therapy was in order, so after work drove over the closest complex with a TRU and there you have it. The cashier said the 3 outfit dolls would be on sale tomorrow for ten cheaper each (retailing at 39.99!o.o for anyone who wants to go trawling who may be reading) but I said if I left them there chances were they wouldn't stick around to wait for me.
He said he understood. Then he asked if they were presents for someone else or for me. I usually say: "oh they're for my niece." But this time I admitted they were for me, and he said:
"Trust me, I understand. I'm a 28 year old Mr. Potato Head collector." Then we had a great chat about collecting toys. Good times.
Retail therapy works!
Anyways, can't afford to go nuts and get a haul like this for a bit >_>

Just called the swedish customer service of mattel and they said that I had to contact the store where my faulty Abbey was bought... But I bought her from a private person.
I will email US mattel now and see what they say

How cute! My mom does the same thing lol. Sometimes I will accidentally leave my dolls out on my desk when she comes to visit and I'll come back home to find them dressed up in different clothes or with their hair done up differently.
Just had a great experience with Mattel US customer service. They will send a new Abbey to hannaliten who will then send her to me. And Swedish Mattel didn't even want to help me.

Just a heads up for Aussie collectors - I emailed Mattel about Robecca/Venus and the ST dolls and they said there were no plans to release Robecca and Venus here but the ST will be coming to Target only - no date yet.

That's the kind of legal repercussions large companies have to take into account when talking about brand and copyright. The main reason I asked in the first place, though, was because the lady that runs that Monster High Parents site asked if she could print off my fake movie poster with Cleo and Nefera and display it at her booth at a convention (I assume she meant SDCC, but I'm not sure). Within any industry there are different levels of cooperation. Hasbro happens to be pretty lenient, Matell isn't. Even using sticky tack doesn't always help. Like, with Ghoulia, she kept falling over because of the wind, but I was trying to photograph the Lagoonas indoors and it's not like the house was shaking or anything, and yet they kept wanting to topple forward, despite the fact that I'd stuck their shoes to the board with sticky tack.

I'm at 30 on the nose. I've been trying to stick to collecting just signature and SDCC dolls but a few odds and ends have made their way into my collection along the way. I'm going to be moving into a slightly larger place with more storage in a few months so I'll have a little more breathing room for my collectibles. I keep going back and forth on the idea of selling most, if not all of my ponies and Pullips and just going nuts with Monster High dolls but I think I need to consider it a bit longer.

Do you have a big Pullip collection? I know I would find it hard selling mine. I had only just started getting into ponies when MH fever took over, so my pony collection never really grew after that. I only started with MH because of the dollhouse, I used to float about here looking at Pullip spam really.

While redressing Toralei (Operetta's borrowing her fashion pack top for ANTM) my fiance noticed her left hand has a lot of extra plastic hanging out of the joint, and it doesn't sit in the arm right. I'm gonna be devistated if she breaks, because I can't afford to get a new one of her with how expensive she is (I got mine, loose and not complete for like $30 after shipping). Damn you Mattel ;o;
Yes, my Abbey had the loose plastic issue on her wrist as well, I did just like LiquidCyanide has said as well, I carefully peeled it off and she seems to be fine now. :>
(my only peeve is that she is the second release for I originally thought I'd like her better than the first. Now I'm not so sure... meeeh. :<
I'll probably try to get a nude first release from ebay, see which one I like better in person and then sell off the other one. AGH MH, why must you make it so hard on me with all that re-releases and re-designs.. :E)

Eep i know how that feels i have a second edition Abbey too and manage to convince myself every so often i like the first editions better. I've seen the first edition in person several times and never picked her up. To me she looks more like webisode Abbey but i don't think she's as pretty, currently i'm happy with my second edition Abbey but i'm annoyingly indecisive :lol:

All mine Seem to be made in Indonesia and i haven't had a problem but maybe is the climate people are living in affect the glue?

No Venus or Robecca in Northwest FL. The Scary Tales were in the back room of my Target, they won't go on shelves until the end of July. But if you have the DPCI (Look on PG 56 of this thread) then you can ask them to get it out if they have it. You can type those numbers into their price-check scanners and show them it is in the store. That's how I got mine :)

This glue seepage thing.. how can you tell? I have a feeling my Abbey might have it, since when I took her out of the box, there was a small greasy stain on the other side of the cardboard right where her head was.. and my Rochelle had the same thing if I remember correctly. :7I was restyling my Home Ick Frankie's hair last night, and it felt kinda waxy, so I washed it in cold water and shampoo, and then maybe half an hour later it was feeling waxy again. I'm pretty sure that's the glue seepage.
So far they seem fine, tho.. nothing is waxy and their hair falls nicely.. does the hair start to stick together and fall out or rather 'break off' eventually? Or does it just get greasy after a while and you have to wash it every couple of weeks/months?

I'm not keeping that Frankie, not just because of her hair problems, but also because her left knee refuses to bend at all and I'm afraid I'll break the piece that holds her lower leg to her upper leg if I try and force it. My Killer Style Frankie has the same problem with her leg. If I'm photographing her and the photo NEEDS for her to bend it, I'll do it. Yes.. I don't care about bathing suit dolls AT ALL.. I have NONE of GB or SS. And I don't intend to get any. Ever.Ah! That's because you don't live in a city surrounded by gorgeous beaches. Just you wait ... I have big plans for my dolls and their bathing suits. I'll give you a hint: beach volleyball.
