Ok, so this was a private commission, done as a gift for my commissioner's best friend :) All the tattoos are based on her new owner's ink... also, these are my second set of full sized wings, and while I like them more than my first set, theres still some areas I want to improve on :)  This has also been my most detail intensive piece to date and I am pretty thrilled with the results :D Pics now, more words later??

Ok, SO!!
The pony was based on the chest piece - purple pony, gold horn, lots of tattoos. The wings were a requested addition to the chest piece design :)
The wings were sculpted with Magic Sculpt and then she was airbrushed with artist grade acrylics. I gave her some slight gradients on the ears, legs and around the wings.
Then I painted... and painted and painted and painted!! All the details were done by hand with artist grade acrylics and used Cheri's new owner's ink as references. I swear I went a little crazy painting the details, but they came out so well ^.^ Wings were painted with the same artist grade acrylics, and used quite a few shades of purple (including a few layers of custom mixed colour)
Sealed with dullcote and triple thick.
Rehaired with Cherry Pie, Pomme D'Amour, Vampire Kiss, Venom, Sour grapes and Ultraviolet (all from Dollyhair) and given very loose curls.
For those curious, her name can be translated to Beloved, which I think is fitting on so many levels :)

Wow thats one amazing pony, those wings just ROCK but so do all the tattoos, there so perfect, all the tiny weeny details, you did an amazing job! That owl is adorable, Also a big fan of purple ponies!

She's really lovely!  I love that colour and the hair blend is so pretty!  You did such awesome detailed painting on the tattoos and that's hard to do!
