I was thinking about this the other day.
I reeeaaalllyy suck at names (it took me a year to learn my bf last name -.-')
I think I know about half of my ponies names and I feel a bit bad about it ^^'
But than again, I know the name of a lot of ponies that I dont have.
So, do you know the names of all your ponies? :)
Do you thikn its important to do?

mostly, sometimes the g3s elude me, but I can usually work it out.

For the most part yes. Sometimes I tend to forget names of particular G1, and sometimes I confuse the names of some of the ponies (like Snowflake and Snowdrop), but other than that I can pretty much name all the ones that I have. :)
When it comes to G3s though... asides from the ones that share their names with their FiM parts, I can't help but rely on MyLittleWiki for help. XD The only other G3 pony whos name I remember is Toola Roola but only because her name sounds so... odd and original that it's just stuck in my memory. :D XD

Which is funny because I usually have huge issues with names aswell XD Takes me a long long time to remember peoples names. But when it comes to my ponies... of course I know them all! :heart:

Well, I can never remember the names of most of the G4 blind bags ones, but I can remember the name of most of the G4s, the Core 7 G3/3.5 and Tales 7 :P

all. but i do not have very much! :) and i just know their english names, not the german ones :D

I Know all my G1s, but the G3s are eluding me somewhat - I suppose it must be that I learnt a lot of the G1s when i was a kid and stuff stays so much easier that way!

I do but I often mistake hippety hop and bunny hop and call them bunny butt because I can't decide which is which. And I have a huge collection across all generations.

I'm gonna go with "half," because I'll be darned if I can remember a lot of the G3s' names! There were just so many of them, and so many of them were similar - I mean, I know "Morning Dawn Delight" is an Easter pony, BUT WHICH ONE!?

I really only collect G1 and a handful of G3 and 4...all the G1s yup I know all of those...G3 in general confuses the heck out of me but if I really think about it I normally get there :)

I know most of them. When you have over 600 ponies, a name here and there gets lost along the way. lol

since i keep my collection to around 30, and a growing army of moonstones... absolutely i know all their names!

Although, if I've bought G3s from anywhere other than online, I have to refer to Strawberry Reef.. same would apply to the less popular G1s, but seeing as I can't find them anywhere.. XD

It's pretty easy to remember all my G4 brushables, but I know all my blindbag ponies too. It's going to get harder once more waves of blindbags come out.

I know all of the names of mine, but I don't have very many yet, so in time that could change. :lol:

I'm great with names, so yes, I remember all their names. And I own about 215 ponies, just for reference.

I was about to check yes I know all, but then I realized I don't know the names to some of my G2's! :blush:

Yeppers, though I keep confusing Sunlight and Sunbeam... :blink: For some reason, those two names seemed to me to fit better one for the other, and I guess that's why I'm confoozled. I also know the names of (most) of the ones I lost along the way. Helps for making a wish list...;)
But that's just G1, and just the ones I personally own/owned. Outside of that... I don't know many, and I bookmarked My Little Wiki to help me identify new finds. :biggrin: My memory, like the old grey mare that I am, ain't what she used to be...

Mostly, yes but I occasionally mix up g3 names (summer Shores and Sweet summertime, anyone?) as well as newborn twin names. :)

I do! I like names, so it would bug me if I didin't know them all. Of course i don't have hundreds, like some people XD

I realised this not long ago I can go across my shelves and name every single one without pausing..
Which is weird cause I suck at remembering things for exams :P
I woulda got A+++ if it was on pony names!

Most of them. But, I cheat. There is a list on my 'puter of all of Charlie's ponies with a brief description. Needs updating though...

Yes I do! I make a point to memorize all their names. Not really sure why it is important to me but it is.
Sometimes I sit in front of my pony shelves and go though naming them all of to make sure I still remember. :nerdy: It's pretty easy right now but I think eventually it might get difficult as I keep getting more. Especially if they keep coming out with blind bag ponies!

There's only one G1 pony in my collection whose name I can never remember. She's the unicorn from the Candy Cane set? I never liked her much, so I always forget her name >.>

I know most of them! G1s are easy, but I have harder time with the G3s :P

Hahhaa I have somewhere between 700 and 800 ponies... nope, I don't know all xD I especially fail in the gen3 department, there's so many I have no clue of, mostly because I never really bonded with any of them.
I don't really mind, though. They're just being pretty that's also fine xD I don't really expect myself to remember 700 names :P

Sugar Sweet? I am not a big fan of her pose either...she is a little drowned out by some others from that set.

My collecting sort of took a backseat until the G4's arrived, so I don't know the names of a lot of my older ponies, especially the McD ones I don't even remember getting! I have a 3.5 Cheerilee that for the longest time I had thought was Pinkie Pie and finding out she wasn't made me like her even less. I have a couple of G3's who have been unknown for awhile, just recently found out one is Juniper Jade though the other is still a mystery (she's yellow with a gumball machine cutie mark).
For my newer ponies though I do know their names. Still getting down all the blind bag ponies (from Wave 1), but I'm getting there! HoneyBuzz I do like to call BumbleSweet though since I think it's cuter and she looks just like the BB pony by that name anyway.

My little wiki helped a lot.. you can pull up the backs of cards there of any type of pony..

Yep, I know them all. But, I only collect G1 and G2, and their names are quite easy to remember.
