We have a thread for the weird things our pets do which definitely can make us smile and shake our heads. Now here's one for the endearing things they do. This can apply for pets no longer with us if you want too.
Right now my cat Nightfury is batting her new ball around and it makes me smile to hear the jingle of the bell inside because I'm happy she enjoys her new toy so much. I also love how affectionate she is. Even after I've given her a hard time, she'll usually still rub against me. I especially love when her rubs have a little hop to them now that I know what that means from a cat. I also love it when I'm petting Nightfury and she closes her eyes with a blissful kitty grin on her face.

I like when I walk across the room and Sandy starts walking around on his hind legs waving his front paws at me because he wants me to pick him up. He's like a little kid. Or how he "bruff"s at me if I don't pick him up when he wants me to. Or Nori when she shoves toys into my hand when she wants to play tug of war. And Onigiri when she gets excited and her tail wags in circles. And how when Shada goes outside she just runs around as fast as she can go playing.

My cat bo loves to hug me when i get home form work and he gives tail pats too.

The look. Or to just be there when you need it. Comet would just know and make his way over to me like he could sence something was up.

I always love it when I am absentmindedly petting my older dog, and stop, and he nudges my hands to make me start again. It always brings a smile to my face. c:

They only do that with people they really like I found out. =)

Ozzy likes to lick my foot/leg when he knows I'm feeling down. It's not my favorite thing but it always makes me smile since I know he's just trying to make me feel better.

It always makes me smile when I go upstairs to my room and am greeted by my cute lil pup Skyler just sitting there by the gate patiently waiting for me. Even if I just went down to the kitchen to get something to drink, he just sits there and waits and the second I step over the gate he dances around on his back legs and does little circles. It's just so adorable and makes me smile that he's so excited just to see me again ^.^
Or even when I go to get dressed to leave, as soon as I put my pants on he jumps off the bed and starts dancing around and barking because he knows we're going somewhere.
Gah, pets are just the best :)

My little Kitten, Frigglish, loves to sleep with me under the covers at night. I get nightmares quite frequently, so it's nice to wake up and feel him close by. He usually comes and snuggles right up against me if her hears me wake up - very comforting! :D

My guinea pig, Edward Pigward, makes me smile when he popcorns around his cage :D My dog Scooby makes me smile when he 'rawrs' at me, I rawr back and then he rawrs back....we have quite a conversation! :lovey:

An cookie lies to me ALL the time
When I say Lie, she'll sit on my feet looking at me when I have cake / sweets / anything interesting and she has a look in her face that says "that thing...that thing in your hand there... thats my favourite you know? ... you know what else? ... I've never been fed in my whole life, I'm starving!"

My dog does lots some funny things:
- when he's wagging his tail during his sleep, or moving his paws in a way like he's running in his dream. That's really cute. :)
- when I ask him (in Polish of course): "Are we gonna go for a walk?" and he tilts his head to the side like he's pondering the question. :D
- when he's eating his food he does this one funny thing: he takes out some pellets out of the bowl with his paw, and then keeps playing with them before he eats them. He also likes when someone throws/kicks the pellets in different direction, then he starts running after each one of them. So yeah, he likes playing with his food. :D XD
He also used to do this one thing, which he still does it, but not as much as before. Whenever one of us was taking a bath, he used to go up to that person, climb on the side of the bathtub with his front paws, and lick of stray water drops from people's arm/hand. Some people might find that disgusting, but I found that to be funny... :D

My sweet bunny gets upset if I don't give him a little attention or head rub before I go to bed - he will start stomping and keep going until I get up and give him a little pet. :)

My cat Elliott always finds me when I'm crying or upset, and nuzzles my face to cheer me up. He also sleeps in my bed almost every night. When I'm nauseous and laying on the bathroom floor, he puts his paws up on the toilet seat and mocks me (then goes back to nuzzling). He manages to make me smile a lot.

My Chihuahua's (Dixie) smile makes me smile! My mom, one of my brothers, and I can all see the smile on her face. Her lips curve back and her eyes practically light up. It's adorable and just makes me wanna hug her, LOL. I am happy when she's happy.
Another thing I adore that she does is when she's really happy and excited, she does this odd scooting action on the floor. She lays on her belly and uses her hand legs to scoot along the carpet. I hear this is a Chihuahua trait. It makes me melt every time she does it, haha!

My Basset Hound has a bed shaped like a sofa. He loves that bed. Sometimes he'll lay on his back with his legs up in the air. My little dog stands on her hind legs and dances when she's excited. She also closes her eyes and smiles at you when she wants food.

I both love and hate pug sneezes. they are so cute, but also pretty gross.
My pug Cujo sleeps in my bed with me and if I have the TV on too loud she burrows under my comforter and grumbles until I turn it down. she also makes little snuffle sounds when I'm cleaning ponies. She likes the smell of the conditioner I use and is always trying to stick her face in it.

I like it especially when he snuffles quietly when we are snuggling together, or rests his head on my shoulder and begins to fall asleep. And how ecstatic he is when I ruffle his cheeks, and how he makes little noises and moves around in his dreams. His cute little black paw pads and his stripey tail. I love how his ears move, and how he runs to only me when I enter the room.

I love how my Pom Kuma does "Pom Paws" for me so that I'll smile and give him attention.
When I was working, I loved coming home because my dogs would ignore my husband and jump all over me to show me how much they missed me.
