Title: New Ponies With Out DVDs?
Post by: Foxtale on June 17, 2012, 09:12:55 AM
So I like to keep my G4's MIP, so the most annoying thing is having the DVDs covering most of the pony in the box. For the last few sets I managed to find both the DVD and non DVD versions of the ponies, but for some reason I can't find Cherry Pie or Diamond Rose without DVDs.

Has anyone found them without DVDs? Approximately when and what stores?

What about releases after those two (if anyone has found them yet)?

Thanks~

Cherry Pie and Diamond Rose never come with dvd's that I have seen in Europe.  If you can't find any in the country, maybe you can buy from an international seller.

The UK don't have the DVDs in front of them. I've personally never encountered any of the DVD ponies where I am!
I do have a spare Diamond Rose though, if you or anyone else is interested :)

All of the ponies who have been released with DVDs have also been released without them - the split at the moment [and with the exception of the recent finds in Singapore] seems to indicate than the US gets mainly with DVD but also some without and the rest of the world gets without. Canada also has been getting the ponies without DVDs, I believe the theory on this is because the DVDs would have to be bi-lingual which they are obviously not.

Perhaps if you have absolutely no luck in the US, you would be best asking someone to pick them up for you in the country where the toys and international shipping combine to be the cheapest? Maybe?

Thanks guys. That is good to know! Here in the states all I can find is the DVD ones. I'll see if anyone else has found them yet state side and search a bit more, and if I have no luck I'll get them from over the pond. :P I didn't know that was the trend but it makes sense. I just wish they didn't have the DVD with every single US release. >.<

I think some people have found them without DVDs in the states but it seems to very much be the minority! Is it Cherry Treats and Diamond Rose you are looking for at the moment...we havent got out of the first luggage set over here yet but I ll keep an eye out for you just in case if you want?

every now and then here in Michigan i see those that series without dvds, but i usually see them with the dvd ... just real hit or miss in the US, no rhyme nor reason to it ...

Cherry Pie and Diamond Rose was not released in Malaysia- Hasbro Malaysia skipped the entire travelling ponies line :( We went straight to the Wedding Ponies :(

Woo hoo!!! Finally...I swear my closest Tesco supermarket has the same 12 or so luggage ponies every time I go in...I am going to start moving them around the shelf just to give them some entertainment...
