Dear ponylovers,
Please give me your advise on this nirvana, I feel terrible...
I recently bought French Sunbeam to complete my collection of French regulars finally... :lovey:
Now she's arrived, but she isn't as mint as the advertisement said... Her head and body are different in colour, hairplugs in front are missing and she has tiny bitemarks and agespots. I was very disappointed as you would expect... :snow: All my other Frenchies are mint/ near mint...
I paid a lot for her (about $190), but she isn't worth the price at all!! She's custom bait!
Now the seller wants her back to sell her again(!); I hoped she would pay me something back, because, although she isn't mint, she still is hard to find. I was intending to keep her till I find an upgrade and after that, she's still a custom bait, so I can't sell her myself. As a critical ponycollector I wouldn't do that to another collector, if you know what I mean... Not for that price that is.
I do love her, but she isn't worth this much right now... If I sent her back, someone else is going to buy her probably without knowing the truth. Please be careful!!
So, return or not return and how about feedback? The seller is saying she didn't noticed the difference in colour... :S
Please let me know your opinion, thank you!!
Some pictures to prove my case:

is it the one which was sold on french ebay?
-
Zora: yes it is
Mariegoldie: deeply sorry for you :( you are right there is a different from colour between head and body.

I watched that auction. sorry to hear that! is her horn completely original? it looked like the tip was sculpted in the pic so I didn't bid

i agree with Roogna ...

I would send her back for a full refund.
I know what you mean by if someone else would buy it without knowing, but it is just to expensive to keep her just for that reason I think. You warned people on her about her so you did something about it, but in my opinion it is just to expensive to keep in this condition.
Really sorry this happend to you. There is no way the seller haven't seen it!
I hope you can make a choice but all I can say is think of yourself it is your money. You just warned the people and there is nothing more you can do unfortunatly :(.
As far as feedback I find it difficult. The item wasn't as discriped but the seller is willing to work with you. Maybe nutral with explanation that item wasn't as discriped and you returned it (if you do) and you got a full refund?
Hope this helps haha and I make any sense (my english is not that good sorry)

I would agree with sending it back for a refund as well. I doubt the seller would be willing to give you enough of a partial refund to make it feel worthwhile  Such a shame though :( I can see the head/body different as well, but personally I would be more annoyed at bitemarks and age spots not being noted :(

Thank you all... She'll go back to France; the seller is very cooperative.
It feels like a loss, but it's for protecting myself...
This is a wonderful place, I feel much better now! Thanks for sharing your opinions!!! ^.^

Who was the seller on e-bay?
I am curious if it's the same one I just bought a Frenchie from....I don't think it is, but want to be sure :)

Oh no :( sorry to hear she wasn't as good as you'd expected.
I do agree that the tip of her horn looks odd, it almost look like someone put her horn in a little pencil sharpener, because regular g1 unicorn horns look more rounded towards the end.
Anyway, I wish you good luck in finding a better condition French Sunbeam! :)
-
Thanks again :).
It looks like the unicorn was bitten by a dog or so. What you see are bitemarks/ cuts.
I wish good luck to you all on buying your grails!! :)

Glad to hear the seller seems willing to work things out! :)
Sorry though for the disappointment on your Frenchie :(

Awww poor sunbeam I hope she finds a nice new home! It makes me cross that sellers are so dishonest!
