As the title says, there are a lot of under rated ponies out there, and sometimes, they don't get the kind of attention they deserve :( Pick a couple ponies out of your collection, and explain why you love them so much despite what many think about them <3

Tootsie! I used to actually dislike her quite a bit, but after I held this one in my hands I admittedly fell in love. I adore her blue and green color scheme, and it baffles me why more people out there don't find her adorable!

I love the ballerina babies! But I don't consider them underrated at all, I don't think I've ever heard anyone dislike the babies :S The grown-ups seem a little less popular.

And I'm LOVING my BBE Lofty. Though no pics can really do them justice in my opinion :/ I used to dislike them until I accually got one ^__^

Ooooh those babies are adorable ;o; And yeah, the adults don't seem to be well liked, and it kinda makes me sad. They're long legged, limber, posable, like a ballerina should be! They're not even as skinny as the sweetheart sisters, they're just fit XD I love mine, they made me want to get the whole set <3
I actually love the BBE babies and I still don't get why people find them creepy. Maybe because I grew up with them and took my BBE Lickety Split everywhere? i don't know, I just think they're adorable <3

I'd have to agree with G2s. I used to think they looked like demented evil clown ponies until I got Princess Silver Swirl in a lot. The unicorns are really pretty. I used to have all of them MOC, but now I just have Copper Glow. The others grew on me and I really like the babies!
I think the thing with Tootsie is her pose. Same with Cherries Jubilee. I love her, especially her SS version but I think the pose is what most people don't like.

I have recently discovered I like BBE babies when they aren't rusted, and I like Banana Surprise, though i would rehair her as seen in the alternate rehairs thread...SO gorgeous... Also, I have found that I like the g2s more and more...got my first one and she is lovely. =]

I quite agree with that, it was certainly why I never desired her. It's like the G3 'donkey' pose, it's just unflattering. Still, I really fell head over heals when I held her for the first time. Maybe you never know if you truly like a pony until you feel the plastic in your hands and can interact with it.

I fourth the ballerina ponies! I love them! I hope one day to get one of the adult ones, I only have one of the babies at the moment. I love the fact that their legs can bend; they look so precious stretched out on their stomachs.
Also fourthing G2s (They are soooo cute! There's just something about their faces) and BBEs~ I'm a sucker for doll eyes.
Then I'd have to add Snuzzle and Pony Bride (Gosh I go on a lot about Pony Bride XD ). I never used to care much for Snuzzle, but then I actually got her and now she's one of my absolute favourites! Pony Bride has just always been a favourite. Ever since I was a kid I had a thing for white ponies, and I can't get over her delicate, slender mold.
And I actually love Tootsie's pose. Though, I prefer Cherries Jubileee to Tootsie because peach is one of my all-time favourite colours, and she is just the perfect shade of peach. But, I really love Tootsie, to.

I like Sunbeam. I don't know why her pose is unpopular - I always thought she looked dignified and regal.
I finally acquired a couple Beddy Bye Eye babies and thought they really aren't that bad, at least when they lack eye-rust.
Desert Blossom is one I like too. She's purple, has green hair, and a cactus symbol! Three of my favorite things. :heart:
Seascape. Orange pony, sunshine symbol. :sunny:
Butterscotch. Both G1 and G3. :)

I'm actually coming around to really liking the Donkey pose for G3s as well. And the roller skating ponies? I CRAVE them!

I like the 'disliked' poses, like donkey, quaker, and tootsie poses. I'm actually trying to get all the donkey pose ponies. I also like BBE (unless they're rusting), G3.5s, and G2s.

Princess Brush 'n Grows! I adore Skylark, and Glittering Gem too (though not crazy about her pose). I think this group is really pretty.

It's my second favorite G3 pose :D They look like they're saying "Yay!" and they look super cute and happy to me ^.^ I swear I have more, they must be hiding :P

I was thinking about these ones too. I really adored my Sunbeam as a child. I remember her glitter symbol was almost non existent. Same with my Butterscotch. She was my first pony and was/still is one my favorites.
Baby seaponies, and seaponies in general don't seem to get the love they deserve either. The babies are super cute with their little floaties and I've always thought that adults had delicate faces.

Snuzzle, if she counts as underrated (I've seen a lot of love for her here at the Arena, though). Also count me in for Sunbeam!
I think I'd love Tootsie if she was in a different pose... Which means, of course, that now I need to make a G4 version of her, heh heh.

Tootsie would be one of mine. I thought she was ugly for years until I got one for the first time and saw her in person. Her bright blue hair really compliments her green color. I originally was put off by that shade of green but it looks great to me.

I love Cherries Jubilee she was my most played with pony when I was a little girl.
I also love Banana Surprise and Princess Taffeta, can't think why there are so many that don't like that pose.
Also love Piggy ponies which I know are an acquired taste : )
Love Cloud Dreamer, the Magic Message set always gets a bit forgotten and I just adore Brush and Grow's too, their long hair is stunning.
Anyone else love Bosenbery Pie? She gets well and truly under rated! She's in my fave pose too x

oh yes! she's absolutely lovely, and in one of my favourite poses too. she has such a sweet face.
i love the magic messages, especially magic hat and mirror mirror. they don't seem to get too many comments.

Butterscotch, Cherries Jubilee and Parasol were my childhood ponies. Parasol gets lots of attention with collectors, but the other two not so much, especially Butterscotch!
I also like Newborn Big Top, who isn't often mentioned, and Swirly Whirly.

I quite like Sunbeam too! She's also one of my childhood ponies.
I also like Sky Flier (unicorn). I just love the pose and her color combo.

I love rainbow pony Sunlight... she seems to be one of the lesser valued rainbow ponies of the bunch, but she's my favorite.. :)

G2 Princess Crystal. I didnt care that I was "too old" for ponies when they launched nor that they were so vastly different. She is so pretty with her dark purple body and highlighter yellow tail :)
I don't consider her a princess though, she was the mysterious fortune teller of my herd.

Magic Message Ponies!!
They so rarely come up in picture threads or just general talk of G1's, but I love the idea of them and they were the only complete set I had as a child, usually I had one or two of each set, a Twinkle-Eye here or there or one Brush And Grow... but the Magic Message ones I needed ALL of them lol. Cloud Dreamer is definitely the most popular in the bunch, with her striking white and dusky rose coloring!

My favorite underrated pony is definitely Lovin' Kisses. Granted, this is mostly because I had one as a kid, but I always preferred her to my Star Glow, who I've noticed is quite popular. I love her magenta hair (mine was named Magenta) and her symbol is just so sweet. I think white Sweetheart Sisters are very elegant, and I just think that all the colors play off each other so nicely.
And a pony that I never really thought about much until I got her was Party Time. I do have a thing for orange ponies, and even though I'm not fond of TEs I like the reddish pink. Also Love Melody is so gorgeous and I love her concept. I have one with nearly completely faded hair, with just a bit of pink tints on the tail, and I like her better that way actually. She's so elegant.

The Dance n Prance!! Love their moves, love their accessories but they do seem to be an over looked set - along with a lot of the SHS sets.

Ömm... Shady :P I've only got the NSS version, I love her super neon pink and neonish hair :blush: She's probably one of few ponies I like in that pose and I really need to get the so soft version of her becausefluffyponiesareawesome.
Aaaaaaand I really like the ballerina babies, I've only got one so far but I plan on getting the other zombie babies later. ;)

I'm super fond of the Sundae Best ponies, but I haven't really seen a lot of love for them? I love their colors and the raised symbols and the ice cream barrettes :biggrin: Sherbet especially... purple, pink hair, ice cream... these are a few of my favourite things ;) :lovey:

All the G2s! Even the American release ones that people seem to like less.
I also love the ballerina ponies, SHS, and BBEs :) They certainly don't get enough love! I also never see anyone loving the Birthday Pony, and she was one of my favourites as a child!
