Title: I figured I may as well do this! What fits what type of doll?
Post by: Chi on June 03, 2012, 11:31:50 AM
I see a lot of people asking what fits what, whether it's a BJD, Pullip, Dal or MH. I'm definitely no expert on this but I thought it would be useful and if we get enough info that it would make for a good sticky. I am still trying to gauge the interest of what dolls should be listed here and how to make a layout but I need your help. c:

So, what do you already know fits what doll? What do you know DOESN'T fit?

I know so far that some Bratz fit MH dolls while the skirts can be short they still do fit
Stardoll shoes fit MH and vice versa
Liv and Moxie Teenz clothing fits Pullip
8"- 9"(1/3) wigs from various BJD websites fit Pullip while they also fit Dal and Byul
5"- 6" wigs fit Little Pullips
MH pants/skirts can usually fit on Pullip with a type 4 body and they also fit Dal and Byul quite nicely
Volks SD16 tops usually fits Iplehouse nYID females
Liv doll wigs (while sometimes a bit too long with a fringe) fit MH dolls

What other dolls do you want to know what fits them and what do you already know? Wigs, headbands, hats, shoes, tops, skirts, dresses, jewelry etc all welcome.

I've heard that Barbie clothes fit Pullips... Is that true?

I tried some on mine and they were really loose since the type 4 body is pretty tiny . I can go try some more, though! I have looots.
Perhaps they fit Obitsu bodies?

Maybe it depends on the body type? But I've heard the same thing about Pullips and Barbie clothes.

Barbie clothes fit well on large bust 27cm obitsus. The waists are still a little smaller.

Barbie doll clothes do seem to fit Pullip type 4, but with lots of velcro overlap. Now, what I did with one of my dresses is fold the skirt up into the bodice part (because I liked that part and not the skirt) by doing that it fit much better.

also, bobbly pins. I did that a lot to make barbie dresses fit better on my type 4 body.

MH pants/skirts can usually fit on Pullip and the also fit Dal quite nicely (I don't know anything about Byul so I can't say what clothing fits them.. >A<)

MH skirts/ pants don't fit all Pullips; I can't fit them on my Type 3 girls or the one on obitsu.
Byul has exact same body as Dal:)

MH guys can not wear Ken/ My Scene clothing: clothing is waay too big and the shoes are (ironically) too small.

Teen Skipper (the one with the body more like Barbie's) clothing is a little big on MH but overall not bad.

The following are guides done by Requiem (Requiemart.com), they are awesome!

(barbie have a larger bust but smaller ribs, and liv have a smaller bust and larger ribcage balancing it out)

(Just to throw it out there)

I've also heard that Monster High clothes fit La Dee Das, and vice versa.

I'm not sure about clothes, but Bratzillaz can just barely fit into some Monster High shoes -- they are a bit small for them. Bratzillaz can also fit into Bratz clothes.

Monster High males can fit into Bratz Boyz clothes, but they do come a bit short on them.

They do fit. I have a la dee da dress on my Monster High girl right now... hehe
Barbie shoes do NOT FIT La Dee Da unless they are LOW ARCH or flat shoes (but then they fit perfect)

Edit- Didn't realize we were talking about specific dolls... lol. i just named all the ones i had... haha

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think Moxie Teenz clothes fit Pullips. They are much bigger in size then a Pullip doll.

Maybe with a little nip/tuck would it work but just straight off the doll I don't think so.

I know that Moxie Teenz clothes are a little bigger than barbie... So i would imagine they would be too big for pullip too.

Oh, and I found a link (http://www.pullipfiction.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=326) that tells you what pullip bodies 1 through 3 can where.  Also, liv clothes fit obitsu bodies. And this place (http://www.requiemart.com/pullip/clothes.html) also tells what fits body types 1, 2, and 3.

@ SwordPony yeah, I own a Moxie Teen, and their clothes are way too big for pullips.

I just know that Barbie clothes DO NOT fit MH dolls, nor do the shoes. If you have a dress or pants, though, a ribbon around the waist will usually do the trick. Shirts don't work too well, nor do things with sleeves, because Barbie has wider shoulders.

The fashions are a bit on the pricey side, but I loved Azone's 1/6 doll clothes on my Obitsu'd (27cm) Pullips and found they fit like a glove. Many of their sets look like real clothes and are well tailored.

 Monster High clothes with stretch to it fit BJDs like Pukifee, as do Liv wigs.

Stardoll clothes fit Monster High dolls.

Moxie Girl pants and skirts seem to fit MH. Their tops do not fit though.
(Though they do seem to fit MH boys?)

Stardoll clothes fit Monster High dolls.

They do? But aren't they Barbies? I know the shoes fit, but any Barbie clothing is huge on them.. :huh:

I don't have any StarDoll clothing, so I have no clue how big they are, so I may be wrong...

This is great.  I need to get my MH gals new clothes.  Anyone know if there's any comparable BJD sizes that fit MH (and what, exactly, I should be searching for on etsy/ebay, since I haven't a clue about dolls when it comes to anything other than Barbies and MH)?  I'd love to outfit my crew with a bunch of frilly lolita-style dresses if possible.

I'm adding all the stuff together so you can read all the information in one spot:

Pullip

* Liv clothing fits Type 4 , but it's a wee bit loose.
* Barbie clothes fit Type 1 and 2. But they are very loose on Type 4 bodies, but fit with lots of velcro overlap. It fits Obitsu bodies though.
* Takara Jenny fits Type 1 and 2
* Azone 1/6 fits Type 1 and 2
* Bleeding Edge 12 inch fashion dolls fits Type 1 and 2
* Ever Girl clothing fits Type 1 and 2
* Type 1 and 2can wear Takara Jenny shoes, Lollipop Girls shoes, and Everygirl shoes.
* Momoko clothes fit Type 3
* Hestia clothes fit Type 3
* Bratz clothes fit Type 3, but it's usually too small for them
* Lollipop clothes fit Type 3
* Moxie Girlz clothes fit Type 3

More on what fits Pullips: http://www.requiemart.com/pullip/clothes.html

Monster High

* Disney VIP clothes fit
* Monster High Boys can't wear Ken or My Scene clothing, it is too big. The shoes are also too small
* Teen Skipper clothing is a tad big on them, but works overall
* Bratz clothing is perfect
* Dal clothing is a little big, but works with a bobby pin
* La Dee Da clothing fits
* Monster High Boys can wear Bratz Boys outfits, but it's a little short
* Moxie Girl pants and skirts fit, but not shirts. (< too big) But the shirts do fit Monster High Boys
* Stardoll shoes fit

More on what fit's Monster High: http://www.requiemart.com/pullip/clothes.html
Monster High dolls in Dal Clothing: http://www.flickr.com/photos/superqt/4719528857/in/photostream/ and http://www.flickr.com/photos/superqt/5034110133/in/photostream/

Tangkou

* Barbie clothing fits
* Liv clothing fits
* Moxie Teenz clothing fits

Liv

* Barbie clothing fits

La Dee Da

* Bratz clothing fits perfectly
* Monster High clothing fits
* Barbie shoes do not fit unless they are flat or low arch shoes

Licca

* Barbie shoes fit

Dal/Byul (They have the same bodies...)

* Monster High stockings are too long, but that can usually be hidden when wearing their own boots (MH shoes are too big.). Most dresses and shirts are small on them, or VERY tight.

Some old clothing swap info for Livs. Note that the doll I used is one of the sleepover dolls, so she has the "pillow throwing" arm and that made clothing a bit more difficult.

Mary Kate and Ashley dolls - Skirts fit but don't close.
Bratz boy- The one shirt I have (short sleeves) fits well aside from it being short and a little baggy in the back.
Blythe- I only have Friendly Freckles. I couldn't get the Blythe shorts closed and the sweatshirt's sleeves caused problems (with with short/no sleeves I imagine it'd be fine, just short. Stockings and boots (didn't try at the same time) fit perfectly. Didn't re-try the other clothes.
Tangkou Doll- I only have Aussie. All clothing (socks, shorts, crop top, and tank top) fit perfectly!
Taeyang- I only have Hash. Shirt fits, a little loose (not baggy, not form fitting). Jacket is baggy. Pants would be perfect if pinned at the top.
Pullip- Varies. The only Pullips I have didn't come with pants and came in elaborate outfits. Ala's leotard thing did not fit, it pulled up most of the way and would work that way. Mir's sleeveless shirt fit, although it was barely able to close it was fine. Mir's jacket thing could be put on and closed, but her arms couldn't move (Nadia's bad arm may have affected that). Mir's boots did not fit, stretchier ones likely would imo. Skirts fit fine, some a little loose and/or long. So I'm guessing sleeveless/short sleeve shirts, stockings, skirts, and jackets would fit. Pants might, but I doubt they'd close. Shorts would likely fit, but again I doubt they'd close. Dresses might work, depending on the fabric.

I also think Liv shoes fit Tangkous, but I've never tried it.

From Requiem's site:
Blythe clothes fit all right through the hips with a bit of velcro overlap, but Blythes are very barrel-chested, so do not fit very well through the torso without lots of cinching, and usually look a little off afterward.  Pants will be short.  Shoes do not fit.

Really? Thats super neat! I didn't know that.  ^.^
I think mine is a type 4 body?(My Melody) and the monster high shoes I have fit her.
Barbie clothes can fit her, but their just a little bit loose around the chest area.

ok, so here is my Star Doll clothing to MH saga:

of course we know the shoes fit. lovely jewelry and accessories, but the clothes DO NOT fit MH! If you are handy with some sewing, you can adjust, and fit fairly well. The shoulders are still a tad too wide, though. I took one dress, started sewing at the natural waist ( Because you still have to get over the butt), and take in through the chest. I think I took off about 1/2 ( or a tad less) on each side. Mine was already sewn a bit wonkey. so I had to adjust for that.

I also had a bodysuit. I am still not completely pleased, because the butt is a bit roomy. It will do for Nefera a bathing suit, though.

dress:
 visitors can't see pics , please register or login

altogether, not a bad set, for two pairs of cool shoes, jewelry, accessories, and a lovely dress, but I won't spring for that much again!

So, my question for Nefera owners, what all will fit her? I know she is bigger, and her feet are HUGE ( comparatively)

Thanks!

I only have a basic Bloom to go by, but the new Winx dolls' skirts and shoes seem to fit MH.

Bloom's pumps fit, but the Winx dolls don't have as much of a heel as MH so I don't know how taller boots will fit.
Bloom's skirt fits perfectly
Shirts are too big, but can be altered to fit.
Pants are too big. Winx dolls have thicker, longer legs.

Can anyone tell me how well Barbie clothes fit obitsus? I have a vintage Barbie ball-gown with a fitted bodice that's crying out to be worn!

It depends on what size bust it is (the waists on all are small like the old Barbies). Small bust is too small, Large bust can fit some stretchy tops but not fitted ones, med bust takes some overlap in the back but fits fairly well. Hope this helps!

- Monster High clothing works - but some stuff looks kinda weird on them. Shirts don't close completely in the back.

- Barbie shoes fit

- ReMent clothing (I THINK, but I'm almost positive)

- Bratz is a great fit

- Azone clothing (Almost positive)

- Blythe

- Some pullip stock fits

There are also tons of dal/byul stuff on etsy!

Bratz clothes will fit Barbie's sister Stacie. At least, they'll fit the older 8-inch versions of Stacie; I think the newer versions are a little bigger. Full-length pants are too long, but if you trim them off or hem them, they look decent enough.

Clothes from those big-headed versions of Stacie (I think they were called Wee 3 Friends/Star Team?) fit Skipper (the 90s version, not sure about the current or vintage versions). They might fit Teen Skipper too.

Can't think of anything else right now, other than Bratz fitting MH, but that's already been covered.

Can anybody tell me what fits Moxie Teenz?

Barbie tops, jackets, and dresses fit them very well. Shorter dresses (knee length or shorter on Barbie)pretty much come to tunic-shirt length, though, and longer ones only come to the knees.

Not sure on pants; I know Ken pants fit, because my doll is wearing a pair right now. They're short, but look really nice as capris. I can't remember if I ever tried Barbie pants or skirts on her, though.

Just a bit of an update regarding Dal/Byul...

Only Hearts Club fits decently. The bottoms are on the tight side, but the tops fit perfectly. A Type 4 Pullip can also manage to squeeze into them, but they are very small.

Moxie Girlz fit almost perfectly -- the tops just need a bit of Velcro overlap. They fit perfectly on a Type 4 Pullip.

Re-Ment fits almost perfectly -- like Moxie Girlz, they require a bit of Velcro overlap, and they fit perfectly on a Type 4 Pullip.

More regarding Dal/Byul, for anybody who would like to know!

The new Bratz clothing fits perfectly -- no Velcro overlap is needed. I'm not sure about the older Bratz, as I haven't tried any of their clothes. I know they're a bit more petite than the newer ones.

Bratzillaz clothing also fits perfectly, with no Velcro overlap at all. :) (And yes, the shoes are a great fit for Monster High... I'll post pictures of that at some point.)

What fits Taes? I'm getting one soon :)
Ken is always great to steal from, bwahaha!
Fashionistas Ken clothes fit nicely.
My Scene tops also fit well, pants are a *little* big in the waist but velcro overlap takes care of that:)
Regular Ken: Depends on when made. 80-90s, Fashion Ave line, the pants need velcro overlap and the tops are wide; not such a bad thing with t-shirts but I've had to do creative folding at the sides for tucked in shirts. Sleeves tend to be shorter on Taes (old Ken had stumpy arms, lol)
Fashion Fever line fits better than Fashion Ave but not as well as Fashionistas.

Shoes: Very hit and miss. Most do not but once in a while you'll find something that does, and will require a slit in the back to make it easier getting it on and off. I have a nice pair of loafers and a pair of casual boots that fit like they were made for them!

I'll have to update on pant length as I can't remember for sure >.<

Ari looks adorable in that Bratz Kids dress! And that Bratz looks fantastic in the Tinkerbell dress. :)

sorry for digging up this topic, but I found my exact question having come up here, so I decided not to make a completely new thread for it.

PandaBerryInSpace already asked about it, but didn't really get an answer for this particular question, so I'll give it another try. do you know clothes and/or wigs that fit MoxieTeenz?

somewhere around this spring or summer I came across a naked doll in a second hand shop and fell in love with her purple eyes and the fact that she has (non-drawn) eyelashes, so I took her home. I couldn't really find out anything about her, and I kind of gave up searching. today I accidentally stumbled upon a pic that included a doll that looked similar to her, and following that line I found out she's actually a MoxieTeenz Tristen :cool:
finally knowing who she is is nice, but she's still quite naked and bald. unfortunately (as far as I'm concerned) these girls weren't available here, so I am not likely to find clothes made for her without being quite lucky or ordering them from abroad. if possible, at first I would like to avoid the latter, so I would love to find out if some other doll clothes that were made for/sold as child toys in our shops too fit her. can you think of any? I'm really no doll expert, so any kind of info might be helpful ^^

Barbie clothes seem pretty loose on Pullips.

I would like to know: are there any clothes ( apart from the ones  can buy from the bjd websites) that fit MSD BJDs? I can't find this info anywhere.

Esty has a great assortment of MSD clothes. I've bought two shirts and two outfits from people on esty.

Since I can't sew that will be the place I get most of my stuff from.
