hi everyone
I'm sorry to say I am having a nightmare with a sale her at the arena ANIKO79 , however this has just taken another awful twist on ebay with the same person...
So here goes...
A fairly new member here asked me to put a hold on a pony for her and despite really needing the money I agreed to wait a month for her to make payment, in the meantime I passed up a few other sales on her. I always trust my instincts and when the date she was meant to pay approached I just had a feeling she wasn't going to pay, so I sent her a PM and my fears were confirmed. She made several excuses, I'm not sure whether these are true or not, I wasn't sure as I noticed she had won a few ponies at the arena in the meantime. She did not confirm if she still wanted the pony or not and the date she was supposed to pay came and went. I PMed again to ask if she could confirm if she wanted her or not and she asked if she could pay half and send the other half later but did not say how long it would take for the 2nd payment. So I haven't heard back from her about that yet.... BUT things just turned into a nightmare and I'm so upset now...
At the weekend I listed a load of stuff for sale on ebay including a few rare ponies and the one she put on hold.
This morning I woke up to a message on ebay from a member with 2 feedback, asking how long I would wait for payment for one of the rare ponies, they were also from the same country as the arena member, I just knew it was the same person. So I replied saying ebay usually require immediete payment for buy it now items and that I state in my auctions payment within 48 hours. So I check my sales page and realize this member has BOUGHT the two expensive ponies I listed for sale!!! (including the one I put on hold for her)
I couldn't believe it, I am so upset as now Ebay has slapped me with a massive fee for selling them not to mention the fees for re listing if she does not pay. I really doubt they will pay as they couldn't even pay for the pony at the arena and the second pony on ebay was even more expensive than the one she wanted originally.
I know this is going to be a long drawn out battle to get my money back. Why oh why would someone do this?
The very sad thing is that I really really need the money which is why I am selling some things and there were many other watchers on Ebay who may have paid for the ponies. Also I have had to pass up on a very special pony that meant alot to me, that I was in the process of buying because of all the non paying bidders on ebay lately. I want to cry right now :yikes:

So I finally received a message on ebay from the person who did the BIN for the 2 ponies. This person claims to be buying the ponies to cheer up her daughter who has recently lost her father. She says she has transfered money to paypal which should clear in a few days... I'm not sure what going on here... Is this the same person as at the arena pretending to be the mother? This is most definitely the same person or someone buying on behalf of this person. This could be a genuine situation or someone seriously playing games.
Still no word from her at the arena, I asked her to confirm when she was going to send the payment..... although she has read this message.
I have also found out that another member is having trouble getting payment at the arena. I will keep you all updated! x
*UPDATE 3 JUNE*
She has been in touch here at the arena and is offering to pay $10 of the $100 she owes and also claims not to be the member on ebay, i'm very suspicious of this for many reasons....
On ebay I have opened cases for both ponies, this ebay buyer lizziekovacs (http://myworld.ebay.com/lizziekovacs/&_trksid=p3984.m1559.l2754) has messaged twice to say payment was on its way and it has not appeared. She claims to be the mother of Aniko79 saying that she wanted to buy the ponies for her daughter who recently lost her father. I will be relisting the items.
I contacted ebay who told me that lizziekovacs has many unpaid item cases on her account and is being investigated. Even if they paid now I will not sell to them now, just want an end to all these games : (

That really sucks, I hope you get it worked out. I've had problems with non paying new members as well on ebay. I think you can block people who have less than 5 or 10 feedback from buying your stuff. It might be good to do in a situation like this, especially since you really need the money right now.

I would send a polite email and explain to her again that you require payment within 48 hours and that is the bottom line. Or you will open a NPB case as you did not agree to waiting for payment from her on ebay. I would stick to your guns since she has already put you off on payment through here. I would also add her immediately to your blocked bidders list so she can not purchase anymore of your items.

This for sure! ^^ stick to the 48 hours and then if she doesnt pay up , open 2 x Non paying bidder cases on her . This isnt acceptable behaviour from your buyer , and you would be well within your rights to refuse to sell her anything else and block her .

Wow, as soon as she sent me a message on Ebay I would have blocked her. Do you know how to block people?
I would seriously have reservations on sending her any ponies. Just hope she doesn't pay, open a case and let it go. Block her id, remember her shipping info (so you can know if she makes another id) and don't communicate with her anymore.

Yeah I just started to post things again, and had a problem with a non-paying member. She asked me to hold it for a week too! So I am going to have to start instituting a deposit program like I have to do at certain other forums.
A month is crazy long.
But you can get your fees reversed for non-paying buyers on ebay. Still sucks. Hope your situation straightens out.

Right now I am pretty certain that this has to be the same member at the arena and on ebay, firstly they are from the same fairly small european country, both are hunting this particular type of variant and are both asking how long I will wait for payment. I still have heard nothing back from her, on ebay or here at the arena.
If I don't receive payment in 48 hours I will be adding her ID's to this thread so others can be aware.
I just couldn't believe she had gone ahead with the buy it now on both ponies before awaiting my answer and just upset I may have missed out on a real sale : (
I really don't like situations and if it was just the arena problem I would have just walked away from the sale but she has really pushed her luck now...

I would open a non paying bidder case as soon as the auctions are eligible to have one opened. I think its four days from the sale date.

I just want to say that whether she pays you on Ebay doesn't really matter. She is dishonest for asking you to hold a pony only to go buy it on Ebay.

That's a really crappy thing to do. It's bad enough when it's not ebay but when it's on ebay where the rules are spelled out in writing and you know full well the seller had to pay listing fees.... that's just wrong. Hopefully they'll pay but if not I hope you at least get some small satisfaction in reporting them. I don't think you get very many strikes on ebay before you get suspended so I'll cross my fingers for ya :)

I can't believe that. Thats just horrible. I am so sorry. I would be over the top mad and frustrated. It sounds like they want the item but just don't have the money. I have a 48 hour hold policy and I won't hold for longer than that unless the person has lots of good feedback. I kind of expect the worst sometimes when dealing with buyers. Lets hope they pay...as its the right thing to do. Taking advantage of a seller is just wrong. Does ebay have a setting on their auctions where you can make the buyer pay for an items if they use the bin option? I know I use to do that in the past where it places a little notice underneath the price. Then when you bin you are directed to paypal to pay and if you don't the auction continues as usual. If this buyer doesn't pay my first thought to you is that if you put the items back up on ebay you really need to add that payment required for Bin to protect yourself. They could set up a new id and try again if you don't. Also block e checks through paypal and block the bidder...but remember you can block a bidder id..but if they set up a new one they will not be blocked on your account.

tulagirl How do you block echecks through paypal? I've had several buyers pay using an echeck to only wait for it to clear and 90% of the time, they don't. I hate echecks but asked paypal about blocking them and they said you can't.

I did some research on this and found in Paypal -> profile -> my selling tools -> Getting paid and managing my risk -> block payments:
[checkbox] Block the following payments:
Pay with eCheck or German bank transfer for all website payments except eBay. NOTE: You may not block eCheck payments on eBay.

If you open a non-payment dispute eBay will refund you the final sale value fee xxxx

I once wrote in my ebay listing description "No EChecks" and ebay blocked me listing my item until I removed it!

It sadens me to read about so many unreasonable and bluntly said, mean people around. :( :mad:
I really hope things will work out for the best (for you in any case).
Those ponies should not go to her! They are way too precious to go to such an unfair person!

I looked that up a bit ago as I didn't think you could block them either. And that's exactly what I found too.

I actually understand why Ebay wouldn't want to sellers to block e-checks. Personally, even if you could I don't think it would be such a good idea since some buyers don't keep money in their paypal accounts. I have no problems with an e-check...
However, I do have a problem with buyers that tell me to wait x amount of time to pay me. I almost always open a case regardless of what their excuse was.

A little update.... Still no word from Aniko79 on the arena or ebay. I have messaged on ebay to say she has until tomorrow to pay. However, I am aware that there are at least two other arena members that have had trouble with her.

Ugh why do people don't understand it! If you don't have the money don't bid on a item! Sorry you have to go through all of this. And I am sad to hear that they have more not payed items on there name. But I am glad that ebay is investigating her.

Does anyone know how many unpaid item strikes it takes to get someone booted off ebay?
Is there a set number or is it decided on a case by case basis?
I am just so sick of dealing with non-paying bidders personally and hearing about other arena members being jerked around by them.
I am hoping that ebay is proactive in kicking them off!

I too had a nasty episode with a seller on ebay who was also on the arena. She sabotaged my wyp thread and got her friends to try to get me to another mlpbased site where bullying is epidemic. She went on to attack my attempts to get help with the situation but by that time I was suffering with stress and had left the arena.
No one stood up to her and sher got away with it and my money. It still hurts me to this day but I am stronger now and I got what I wanted a few weeks later and it was in absolute mint condition. I don't know iof she is on the arena any more because I know better that to go looking for her.
I really hope your situation resloves its self and that the mods do the right thing and block them. They didn't for me

Lying about a parent dying is the lowest anyone can go. Dont sell to them. I dont think that her mom but the girl herself if theres so many NPB cases :( Thanks for the update :(

I'm not sure how many ebay IDs this person has.
I found 3 different accounts from her yet but I'm sue she has more.
To be sure she will never buy from me again I blocked Switzerland (where she come from) for all my ebay sales!! Protect yourself guys and do the same!!
I heard from another member here that she uses the lizziekovacz account with another mailing adress - and later after she won the item she ask to ship to a different mailing adress which was Anikos real adress...
I've had issues with a member at ebay called "wilddays1" as I already told in a separate thread. This ebay buyer never paid me and I opened a non paying buyer claim.. there was a different mailing adress added to ebay then Anikos...but my heart says me that Aniko has also to do with the wilddays1 account... I don't know why - but it's just a feeling... so I decided to block complete Switzerland for my sales now to make sure I musn't wait month for my payments.
It's very sad to have a person like that in the community - and it's also sad to know she playing these games in other forums as well.

So I got this message on Ebay this morning from lizziekovacs ...
"Hello, I have sent out the money to paypal today morning, it must be there tomorrow or on wednesday. Please give me this last chance and I promise to not disappoint you! I think everybody deserves a second chance. I am sorry for the long delay.I will ask my daughter if she is a member on other sites, too and will come back to you with the answer, i hope that helps. I myself, I do not collecting ponies. Greetings Elisabeth"
She signs her name as Angela on the arena messages and Elisabeth on Ebay ???

Another member has had the same trouble with waiting on payment from this ebay account where an adress was shown at ebay like this:
Elisabeth K. , 8604 Volketswil Switzerland
After payment lizziekowacs asked on ebay if she could ship the item to:
Angela M. 8603 Schwerzenbach Switzerland
It's definitive the same person. Look at the items she listed for sale a few days before - these are the same like in the other ebay accounts she is using. And she postet a link in here in the sales where she made public that she has had ponies for sale and when you click on the link you'll come to lizziecovacs ebay profile. Look:

When I see it right she is building more and more ebay accounts where she leaves different adresses - maybe from her family, maybe from her freinds - I don't know- And later she ask to ship to a different adress or she has added her real adress as well to ebay.
I don't know if she will come to the board to explain anything - but I would not trust her again.
To much members in differen forums and at ebay made bad expiriences and I'm so tired to see that she is playing games again...

So I'm really upset, this morning as Ebay has charged and deducted over £40 in fees from my bank for selling the 2 ponies which she has not paid for, I can't close the case I opened for a few days either, this is heartbreaking for me especially as I was selling them because I really needed the money, seriously crying right now.

She was blocked for our swaps and birthday swaps after she was very late in shipping swap boxes and payment for several items...
She commissioened members to make her customs and didn't paid for them - or paid 2 month later then agreed.
She has had ponies on hold for weeks to pass on them then (that happpened to me 2 times)..
After she was late with payment agaian and again - I meanwhile blocked her from the sales forums as well to protect other members.

Normally you can close a non paying claim 4 days after you opened it. So maybe you should be able to do that this evening or tomorrow morning. Maybe you can call ebay again to ask for advice and telling them what you know from the forums - maybe they can make an exception and will close the claim directly and you'll get your money back. :)
I know - everybody has a second chance - but she has had much more chances and she disappointed again and again...

Latest update is that the member lizziekovacs has paid for both ponies on ebay. I honestly do not know what to think. This person still claims to be the mother of Aniko79? The address she has given me to post on ebay says the name Angela, also the name she uses in arena messages. and yet the name she is goign by in ebay messages is Elisabeth? I have no idea whats going on! To her credit she has paid which I really did not think she would. Fingers crossed it transfers to my bank ok. Just want it all to be over.

I'm so sorry for you.. she currently has a pony on layaway with me too and used her fathers death as an excuse for not paying sooner.. BUT she said she didn't havE ENOUGH money to pay me due to some vet thing with a cat and funeral costs.. now I find out she's been buying ponies from others and paid?

How am I supposed to go about this now ? I had a wonderful member interested in buying the pony in question . I soooooo regret not selling to her =( I would've had the money already and she would've had the pony and we'd all be a happy family.

I know it's very disappointing to read that she paid others over the time and that she bought other ponies at ebay and in other forums..
When I was you I would offer the pony again for sale. I did the same thing when she passed on my beautiful minty Nightlight...
She told different members the story with the vet bills, with ´her fathers death...and when she had new ponies for show she just explained "my mother bought them for me". It seems she thinks that we all are so stupid..
Time that this girl learns her lesson!

You are free to do what you think is best but I would seriously not send out the ponys and refund. There is no way I would follow through with such a shady person. She might try to scam you. Be very very careful.
What I would do is refund her and then tell her that once she is all square with the pony community you will open lines of communication with her again. Until then, block her.

I think I second this, tread very carefully. Though it's good to hear that she's paid.

You're so right - it's absolutely upsetting!
And not all have posted yet... I've a few members more in mind who has had the same trouble with her ... and I will not guess how many more are in the background who never talked about it to somebody... :(

I had a relatively straightforward transaction with her initially, she bought and paid (with a little delay) a nirvana pony from me, but then wanted another couple which she said she would to pay for but never came through luckily i was firm about my payment timeframe so they sold to other members.

I sold her 2 nirvana ponies as well earlier, but she was only late about a week or so from the time when she was supposed to pay the whole sum, so I ended up having no problems with her. And she did not make a paypal claim from the money after she received the ponies, so I am sure you will be fine in this regards Willa. But certanly if you know you can't afford something you should not be making promises to many different people about byuing things... =/
