Title: Why not My little phony?
Post by: ember86 on May 27, 2012, 02:29:57 PM: I've thinking about MLP terms and it got me wondering why fakies are called that and not My little phony.

I like that name a lot better than "fakies." XD I personally don't really care for most "phony ponies," honestly. Some of them can be cute, but a lot of them look awkward to me, and they're just not as phun as phinding phabulous ponies.

I guess its just one of those things. "Fakies" is quicker and easier to type and more all encompassing than my little phoney...you cant call the fakie Pretty Pal friends "phoneys" they would have to be fakies so I guess its just easier all round!

Fakies does have its advantages as far as clarity and word length, so it makes sense to use it here, but in my head they're all phony ponies. :)
