I saw a TRU exclusive pack with Rarity and Daisy Dreams in scooters in Taobao but I'm unable to post the pic here. I guess it's good news (please delete if there is another post about this).
EDIT: Also Glimmer Wings Sweet Song with regular Fluttershy and Glimmer Wings Diamond Rose with Regular Pinkie Pie

Once again, there's a misspell in Sweetsong. The other pony name misspells are Applejack and Flitterheart (seen in their Blindbag cards)

Ugh, i hope they will still get sold seperatly. Not that you have to get both ponies and can only find them at target. >_< Than i don't think i will bother getting them.
I'm amused they drew sparkles on the box art to indicate Pinkie and Fluttershy have tinsel.
We can also now be pretty sure the "crystal empire" will be another "canterlot" line.

I wonder, if Daisy Dreams has forelock in this release or not? And her cutiemark seems to be on the different side.

Yaay! I'm so glad she's going to be in a regular pack so I can have an unboxed version of her with no guilt. Hopefully this means we'll see Rainbow Flash as well.
It seems to me as if crystal empire is the new Target line, and Pony Friends Forever the new TRU line? That seems to be the trend if I'm not mistaken.

Argh... I wish there was a TRU closer to here. I have to drive 6 hours both ways to get to a TRU and there are so many TRU exclusives that I want haha

Oh, I totally want the Daisy Dreams!
...and I was contemplating the Starsong/Fluttershy pack to get a Fluttershy with lighter hair. But then tinsel. Hasbro, tinsel not a good thing. Stop it :<. Same with Glimmer Wings. Stop it... unless you can make it not look like they had a bad accident and had the wings implanted on them by some sort of evil organization.
....I need to stop watching so much Kamen Rider. I now think Glimmer Wings are a product of Shocker...

Im not the only one who complains about the tinsel. Ironically, i have a Shine bright Pinkie (the Target version) with some tinsel!
Of this batch, I need Daisy Dreams (Plus the Riding Along accessories) and Sweet Song. I hope they have a International release. If not, a RAOPK/contest for all the members who want them outside Us.

I always wanted those scooters. Since the Riding Along sets was sold out in my country, the Daisy Dreams and Rarity set is a great opportunity to get some vehicles.
I Guess i have to start being one the tinsel and the glitter to have Sweet Song and Fluttershy (again, since i lost mine). :blush: :lol:

I wonder why Hasbro is so deadset on every man, woman, and child having at least 5 each of the main cast. Some diabolical marketing campaign, maybe? Seriously guys, I already have Rarity and Fluttershy (three of each, in fact) and if I decide I need another one, I'll buy it, but I'd rather be able to buy the new ponies WITHOUT their pesky "PFF"s tagging along too 8(
I do love that Daisy Dreams will finally be coming to the states though (and without those glimmer wings, too!) and even though I'm not big on accessories, that little book...thing...that Rarity comes with looks really adorable :) And, for a glimmer wing, Sweetsong isn't too bad....but maybe she only appeals to me because, like Ploomette, she's a new character ONLY available as a glimmer wing.

Target exclusives ;.; Fortunately I think I have someone who can get them for me, but alas...shipping. And I like tinsel, too, when done right. My SB Fluttershy has tinsel in her hair and it's sooo pretty. But do I really need a third Fluttershy, tinsel or no? NOPE ;.;

We as collectors have to keep in mind that every single week there are new little girls (and boys!) tuning in to the cartoon for the first time ever, and instantly becoming fans. Hasbro can not afford to just have the mane 6 on the shelves for a portion of the year. If they want to catch the attention of new viewers, their primary demographic, they need to have those recognizable characters available all the time.
Yeah it's a pain for us, and yeeeah it's pretty sneakily clever on their part to throw in old characters with new ones, but they're doing it because it's the best business practice for them.
Personally I find the G4 releases to be handled much better than what Hasbro was doing before, when they decided they would ONLY put out toys based on 7 characters and that's it. Bleh. The end of the G3 line makes me especially thankful for G4's! ^_^

Yeah, but there really are a lot of these mane 6 ponies out right now/soon. We have the luggage set out, than the wedding ones and than we got the "deluxe" wedding ones. So i don't think kids have a lot of trouble tracking them down. It's kinda annoying Hasbro feels the need to put them in pretty much every pack out there. I know i don't want to end up with a box full of the same ponies. I wouldn't mind if they at least had a difference in cutie mark art or had different poses but this just feels rather overkill. I'm sure a lot of parents will notice this too.

lol I know what you mean Starly, me too. But it's always a gamble with MLP, so best to get them when you can! There were several G3's that we all thought were UK-exclusive and then a bunch of them showed up in the US more than a year later.... but there were still a lot of them that never appeared in the US at all!

I want a Daisy Dreams (and I still don't own Rarity...) but I don't care for accessories at all. But I doubt they'll even show up in TRU here. :\
Though... are those stickers back there? I'd like those too. If I do actually see this set, I'd probably pick it up.

Target exclusives tend to turn up in Tesco here in the UK...always keep on the look out there!

Target pays BIG bucks to Hasbro to be able to offer exclusive toys to collectors and fans--not just with MLP but lots of toys/products. And Hasbro in turn holds out for the highest bidder before they let any company claim 'exclusive' rights. :\ It's all about the $$$$

It's definitely interesting how both Target and TRU have their own exclusive lines. Of course, I'm hoping TRU won't have too much I want since I don't have a TRU anywhere near me, so I'd have to rely on someone to pick up what I want and ship it to me. Since I already have Daisy Dreams and Rarity, I don't need that set. I think the only TRU set I'll definitely end up getting is the collector set they showed at the toy fair.
The one thing I will say about Daisy Dreams being released in the US, is I really hope the other non-US release ponies follow. I managed to get DD and Rainbow Flash, but I still need Star Swirl and Skywishes, so if they release a set with them, I'd definitely buy it. The bonus ponies were a bad idea anyway. It's not like we don't know what we're missing out on. Back in the 80s they may have been able to get away with country exclusives, but now I think everything should be available everywhere in some form. I'd settle for being able to order them online on Hasbro's site.
As for the Glimmer Wings, I know I can skip on getting Diamond Rose since I have the normal version of her and I don't want more than one of any character. I'm not sure if I'll pick up the Glimmer Wing Sweetsong, though. I mean, I love her colors and she's a "new" character. I got Ploomette just because she was only available as a GW, but if they release a normal peg version of Ploomette, I'd end up selling the GW version. I could do the same with Sweetsong, but I honestly don't like her wings at all. I mean, she's very light pastel colors, then she has these dark blue wings, it just doesn't look right.
Plus, I don't have much room on my pony shelves for GWs. If the wings were much smaller and more proportioned like the G1 butterfly wing ponies, it wouldn't be so much of an issue. But as it is, these take up twice as much shelf room as the normal ponies, and I'd rather have 2 normal ponies than 1 GW pony.

Anyone else noticed that Hasbro seems to be hardcore shippers of Fluttershy and Daisy Dreams? :P First, they're in a two-pack together. Then, coinciding releases of the Glimmer Wings variations. And now Daisy Dreams shows up on a scooter... wearing Fluttershy's scarf.

It would be nice if they went back to the singles having animal friends. All the other types of little accessories are just clutter to me.
Daisy Dreams is nice, but I'm most interested in a Star Swirl. Now to me, she would be worth the extra cost of having to buy her in a set. Daisy Dreams is my second favorite of the exclusives, but even with her, I'm debating if it's worth it. I suppose it'll depend on the final price.

I already have Daisy Dreams but I'm totally having a dilemma over the Glimmer Wings now though. I definitely want Sweet Song because she is a new character brushable but I just don't know about Diamond Rose (and Glimmer Wings Daisy Dreams). I've already decided I don't need the Glimmer Wings versions of the Mane 6 but do I want Glimmer Wing "doubles" of the other ponies? hm... I guess I will just wait and see once they hit stores and how I feel when I see them in person...

Its cynical - but package 2 ponies together add some accessories and we can be charged $10 [or even $12!] rather than $5...its depressingly financial!

This! That Pinkie and Fluttershy have tinsel means they aren't *quite* the same as the regular re-releases, so that makes me happy(er).

Tesco in the UK is picking up a lot of the Target exclusives as are other retailers in other countries - the "only at Target" element is only in the US or in countries where there are Target outlets...keep an eye out you never know where they will turn up over here.
