This made me laugh when I saw it- which got me a few weird looks from other shoppers. Look at the art on this box- intergenerational theft and everything! I had no money, but I'm going to have to buy her next time we're in that town. She'll be my only MIB pony! :P

Also...is the lying pose on the top of the box reminding anyone of some original art? I know its very like the HB G1 line art you sometime see Confetti and Posey in but there is something about the line art which is reminding me of an actual artist...hmmm....

The typos are so bad I thought it was in another language at first. And what's the deal with the MOP in the second pic? --Oh, wait, I get it, it's a reference to Cinderella and "fairy (tales)." Still weird though. Kinda cute how they combined art from G1 and G3 though (even if it's blatantly stolen).

I don't get how some knock off companies get away with this. And I certainly don't understand why they do not produce toys of better quality if they get their hands on MLP molds. Oh well, I'll file this question under "Do not break your head over it", right next to the Pink/white Celestia debate files...

That G1 design was definitely used in some merchandise artwork. I can think of a Mom & Baby Glory puzzle off the top of my head.

The picture on top...I'm sure that's someone's art too. I know I've seen various recolors in people's signatures here. Maybe I'm wrong but the face and eyes look wrong for official G1 art.

I work at a discount variety store and we get fakies for all kinds of toys haha Im so used to seeing the g3 art on fakies. The odd thing about our fakies are that only one pony uses a g3 mould, the rest are outright fakie moulds. However we have recently been getting in real pony toys (only 3.5 though) Which [retty much means its clearance time for the 3.5's

BTW, that badly written, badly edited tag line sounds a lot like the tag line on the g3 Crystal Princess line, doesn't it?

This is just awesome! Superheroes, Shrek and the suddenly-blue Lightning McQueen unite for. . . a sense of right? :silly: It's just like Avengers or Justice League, but awesomer. :)

the touch of magic is that not only is the box art stolen from hasbro, but from Marco as well. A talented artist that once was part of the community but due to so much art theft has stopped. His work ALWAYS amazed me.

also I saw these today at the flea market here in florida!! I was like WTH when I saw them. and some were even boxed with Buzz Light Year.. They are really good fakies too lol

I think it was a store called Rossy- I've never seen one outside of Newfoundland. New to me!

There are some Rossy's in New Brunswick and Quebec. Darn I don't live near one anymore. Use to have one across the street. I could have raided the toy section for whatever ones I could find for folks.
