Before voting, please read the following post in its entirety. Things will be changing from this round forward. This is the first time I’ve run a competition of this nature, and it wasn’t until a few rounds in until I determined what seemed to be working and what wasn’t. Thank you for your patience and cooperation.
Voting: You may only vote for one ghoul – the ghoul you feel will be eliminated this round. Please post your prediction in the thread. You may win a prize if you guess right.
Call Out: The judges will determine the call out order each week. Please read their critique fully before voting. Remember, the ghouls are not being judged just on the week’s photos, but also on their past performance, progression, and potential.
Prizes: At the end of the competition, I will tally up which members correctly predicted which ghouls went home. The member who scores the highest will receive a Monster High compilation prize. I have a ton of stuff to choose from, everything from accessories to clothes to brushes and stands.

Welcome to Cycle 1 of America's Next Top Monster! Seven lovely monsters stand before me, but only one can be on top.
Last week the ghouls were decked out as '90s music superstars. Nefera, Clawdeen, and Toralei killed it, while Frankie and Ghoulia fell flat. Ghoulia was slated to be eliminated, but Frankie had a breakdown at panel when the judges questioned if she was really cut out for monstering. Frankie quit the competition in tears, and Ghoulia was spared. Until the next judgment, that is.
This week the ghouls posed as the seven deadly sins. The fashion: tight, sexy skirts. The set: a coffin about to be buried under the earth. The mood: dark and edgy. Unfortunately for the ghouls, one of them is about to be buried for real. Who’s come to the end of her monstering career? Only time will tell.
Clawdeen as Wrath:

Ty-Ty’s critique: Damn, girl, this is FIERCE! In reviewing your film, I wish the sword was turned more so the flat side faced out and you could see it better. You managed to hold it right for your best shot, though. There’s a bit of a glare in your eye, too, but overall, one of my favorites of the week.
Nightmare Nigel’s critique: Absolutely dynamic. I feel like I’m about to be attacked any moment. However, I want to see your soft side. Can you be sweet and innocent, too? Or are you a one trick pony?
J. Jekyll’s critique: On set, you delivered. You nailed it in three shots, and all were amazing. You came to set prepared and ready to convey wrath. It was clear that you had a plan. Personally, I love the glare in your eye. It's like you're a warrior about to slay an enemy and the sun is shining in your eyes, you don't give a damn! You're out to kill, girl!
Ghoulia as Sloth:

Ty-Ty’s critique: Your dead face is starting to catch up to you, but somehow it fits here. You look very sleepy, as if you’re just waking up. And you were ballsy enough to face the other direction that the rest of the ghouls.
Nightmare Nigel’s critique: If there’s one face that Ghoulia can pull off, it’s ‘SLEEPY TIME!’ I could curl up and snooze just looking at you. I wish I had an awesome skeleton sleepy time t-shirt like yours.
J. Jekyll’s critique: On set, Ghoulia had an idea in mind for how to portray sloth, and she delivered on that. She sold that shirt, too! Nightmare Nigel already wants one!
Howleen as Gluttony:

Ty-Ty’s critique: You look amazing, but are you really embracing gluttony?
Nightmare Nigel’s critique: I agree. You needed to interact more with the candy. This is your weakest photo yet. I actually thought you were greed at first simply because of the gold and the way you were holding it. Still, you’re stunning here and nailed the face.
J. Jekyll’s critique: On set, you gave me gorgeous face and limb placement, but you didn’t embrace the gluttony theme. I wanted to see you devouring that chocolate, and you didn’t. You didn’t even take a nibble.
Lagoona as Greed:

Ty-Ty’s critique: Pretty, but I want to see you be FIERCER like a monster. You’re too ethereal and serene here.
Nightmare Nigel’s critique: You got an awesome sin, and all you have is a few purses? Where’s the bling bling, the fur? You look more like a pick pocket than a greedy ghoul.
J. Jekyll’s critique: On set, your energy was low, and that showed in your photo. However, you’ve been consistent up until now. Almost every week you’ve been in the top three. But the competition is getting tougher. This is NOT the time to go backwards.
Nefera as Pride:

Ty-Ty’s critique: Gorgeous face shot. You’re built for modeling, and definitely have “pride of self” down to a tee.
Nightmare Nigel’s critique: Great shot here, but I don’t quite she pride. Sometimes you photograph too serene, and I think you should’ve pushed it a bit more here. But otherwise you utilize a great S curve, and it’s a very beautiful photo.
J. Jekyll’s critique: On set, you nailed it in one shot. Your body language, your face, your embodiment of pride – excellent.
Spectra as Envy:

Ty-Ty’s critique: I see envy here. Sometime in your pose speaks ‘jealous’. That being said, your face sets you behind here. Even if it seems more expressive than usual, you’re only lucky because it works with the theme.
Nightmare Nigel’s critique: You’ve done better, just not better enough. Yes, envy was a difficult sin to represent, but we’ve seen this look on your face before.
J. Jekyll’s critique: On set, you were confused. You didn’t have a plan as to how to portray your sin, and you didn’t know how to pose your body. And I agree with the other judges – you only have one facial expression. It’s not versatile.
Toralei as Lust:

Ty-Ty’s critique: I feel you captured your sin the best. You really have a ‘come hither’ look going on, thankfully without being too hussy. I wish you faced the other way in the coffin, but that’s a petty composition thing. You’re one of the ghouls I didn’t really notice at the beginning of the competition but you’re starting to show that you’re a model as the rounds go by.
Nightmare Nigel’s critique: I think you’re just a smidge below Clawdeen's hammered home wrath.
J. Jekyll’s critique: On set, Toralei gave me lust, lust, and more lust. I agree with Ty-Ty here. As the weeks progress, Toralei just gets better and better. She has control of her body, sells the clothes, and does it effortlessly.

I voted Howleen, simply because, while she is beautiful and really trying to embrace the sin of Gluttony, it just isn't coming across as gluttony...greed, more like, in my opinion. But, Howleen just doesn't look fierce enough in her lust for the items she is hoarding. Good effort though!
Oh, and my Cleo says Spectra looks good rocking her dress and shoes. =]

I had to say Nefera. Her wardrobe is a bit odd, though I do understand as pride being a more difficult sin to pull off.

HOT HOT HOT HOT HOT HOT! even the "bad" photos are still amazing! tough one tuney, tough, tough, tough. lol
i gotta say spectra though. she kind of got a rotten sin this week, tough to portray, but for her few awesome pics, she's had more "she's just there" pics. i agree, getting better, but just not there and coming down to the wire of the top 6 ... the other ghouls have just done BETTER and been more consistant. she does rock that cleo outfit though ... HOT!

Yeah...I voted for Lagoona. She's a pretty monster, but I don't think she pulls off greed at all. Howleen doesn't look so good either, imo, but not as bad as Lagoona. She looks more like she'd fit greed; the gold colored kisses, her covering them, and her more focused, direct look just fit that better to me.
I really like Spectra, tho in the past I haven't really (Like Ghoulia, she has a kinda cold looking face.) She almost looks like she's saying 'Oh my...I want that!' I like that she's in green as well XD (green with envy)

I voted for Spectra to go home, it's a "meh" shot to me, and her pictures ae starting to blur together in my head which is not a good thing. Now Lagoona is one of my favorite dolls, and I almost voted for her because that picture was a bit meh also but she has been a bit more consistent, though she had better step it up.
Tuney GREAT JOB, I think this isy favorit so far, I love Deadly Sins themed stuff.

I voted Spectra. I get "green with envy", but what's she envious over? She's kind of just hanging out in the coffin in some green clothes. It looks like she's selling St. Patty's Day. She hasn't been entirely impressive to me in the past either, so I picked her to go.
I actually really liked Howleen. I don't think she needs to be eating the candy to portray gluttony. I'd feel gluttonous just laying in a pile of chocolate xD She looks like she's enjoying the moment just before diving in and pigging out!

I feel Spectra will be eliminated during this round because there doesn't really seem anything envious about her pose or picture. If it were not for the green dress and shoes she would just be another ghoul lying on a bed. Although I do like subtlety, it doesn't work well for this round.

It's from these action figures, Realm of the Claw. hehe. I had to use that sticky blue stuff to get Clawdeen to hold onto it, though!

Oh man, Nefera is rocking my socks AGAIN.
And I'm voting Lagoona goes home. She just doesn't seem so greedy. She actually looks kind of slothy.

Ooh, which ones? I have both females (cheetah and lynx) as well as the male black panther and sabretooth. I believe the sword came with the lynx.

I voted for Spectra to go home. There isn't much of a representation of envy in her photo. What is she envious of, if anything? Just a very weak performance.
I had a tough time choosing between her and Lagoona... greed wasn't represented very well either, but Lagoona has been a stronger model overall.
Clawdeen and Torelei were AMAZING. Great photos tuney!

yeah, theose swords totally came with zunda the female lynx lol i have zynda, kaela (female cheetah), tswana, tare, trakk (the human dude lol), nakuru, and tare ... allt he regular release ones ... i'm going to have to dig out their totes now lol

Fantastic pictures, Clawdeen has this one in the bag:) It was a hard choice between Spectra and Lagoona but in the end voted Spectra.
Lagoona should have had more items but with the purses combined with her pondering "What do I want to get today?" look she squeaked by.
Spectra's green clothes were a great nod to her sin but I think if she had catalogs with items circled (a mock one with sales fliers cut outs)/ images of the other monsters etc she could have score a bit higher.

Maybe if Spectra looked over her shoulder more like she was glaring at someone while hunched over (but not so much to ruin the pose) and hold her hands in a bit closer she might have pulled envy. Like a 'Why can't I be that girl over there?"

Nefara is SO going to win this whole competition. I know I say that about every set of photos, but I really think she photographs the best and has the most "model-like" face.
That said, I voted Ghoulia to go home this week. I think she may have gotten a bad sin, but she also just doesn't look model-y in her photo.

They pretty much nailed it! (I'm a little bit on the fence about Toralei, but not enough to call her the weakest.) Who'd kick them out? Did they vote because they're not their favourite dolls? Or do they not like something about the pictures? I'd like to know. :ninja:

Yeah, but having things spelled out doesn't always guarantee everyone reads it. Very simple for someone to just hop in and vote for their favourite doll without even reading any of the instructions. There have also been so few people explaining their votes compared to the number of votes in the poll too.

I feel Lagoona will be going home.Howleen got gluttony and gave a sense of excess by having her coffin full of candy,having people mistake it for greed,(and criticized by not taking a bite for the picture,but I don't agree myself)And Lagoona just get..what,3 purses?and staring off into space?Nope,didn't get it at all.Didn't work.
Also,like I said when people were discussing it,if its gonna be a vote for who gets eliminated,Tuneys really gonna have to shove that down peoples throats because it seems each week,no matter how many times said,there were people not listening about how to vote.(in that case,voting only for one instead of everyone except elimination,etc.)I honestly do believe thats the only reason Clawdeen and similar people got votes here.

I voted for Nefera to go home. -dodges fakies- I have nothing against the doll/ character, I just don't feel like her photo portrayed pride that well. Believe me, Spectra wasn't a hit, either, but at least I got the "green with envy" vibe from the outfit. Nefera is a good model, but I personally haven't been that blown away by her so far. Spectra has had a few awesome rounds, whereas Nefera has been in my "not bad" category for a while. And this round just sealed the deal for me.
However, I predict that Spectra will probably end up going home this round!

OMG, I never thought of that! That's hilarious! If she keeps it up, she may just win! That being said, it seems that she's got a leg (ok, TWO long graceful legs!) above the other ghouls!

Oh this one was tough! In the end i voted for Spectra that shot just does not scream envy to me! It was a hard call between her, Lagoona and Howleen though their photos this week just weren't as good as previous ones. In the end though Spectra lost as envy was a fairly easy one to portray and both the others have had some amazing previous photos especially Howleen, fierce little monster isn't she!
Have to say though the two clear top ghouls this week have got to be Clawdeen and Nefera, those shots are stunning!

Once again, great photos! I voted for Lagoona this round. Spectra was weak too, but I definitely see more "envy" in Spectra's pic than I see "greed" in Lagoona's. Breaks my heart since they're my two favorite characters. But Lagoona is just kind of there in her pic this week. :huh:

My vote is that Howleen goes home. It just looks like, "Meh...here is the candy....more meh." If I had not known she had Gluttony I would have pegged her for Sloth surrounded by little golden pillows.
I think the top ones are Nefera, Clawdeen, and Spectra. Toralei's is nice and all, but it just looks like her same pose over and over...and over. *yawn* Pull something off OTHER than sexy, girl, for cereal.

Why? Because her photo doesn't show lust for me. Her pose is one I've seen from other ghouls, but she doesn't do it better here. Also I feel this is the same face from a different week. The only thing that sells lust in the pic is the messy hair but I don't buy it, there needs to be more than that. Toralei has been good in other rounds but not this one for me.

I voted for Lagoona. I love Lagoona, but she just didn't seem to fit "greed" very well. She didn't look as greedy, she looked more like just a girl going shopping or something. xD Howleen was a close second, but I think Lagoona's wasn't as good.

All right, peeps, after a lengthy discussion between Ty-Ty, Nightmare Nigel, and J. Jekyll, a decision has been made. Here is the final call out:
1. Clawdeen (Great job, ghoul! You nailed wrath!)
2. Toralei (Honey, you brought lust to a whole new level)
3. Nefera (You're pride through and through!)
4. Ghoulia (Sweet dreams, slothful one)
5. Howleen (It's not enough to just flounder in a pool of chocolates and call it gluttony. Interact!!!)
6. Lagoona (What happened, ghoul? You'd been doing so well up until now)
And the ghoul who will be departing...
7. Spectra (You delivered far too little far too late, my transparent princess. The other ghouls were consistently stellar, and your star was beginning to dim. We wish you much luck in your monstering career!)

Aww, poor Spectra.. :( I can understand why you've all decided to send her home. Lagoona has to do better next round or she's probably next one to go. She needs to use those big eyes and gorgeous hair to her advantage rather than letting them make her look like a sad (yet pouty) puppy a la Rochelle.
...Also why does it say results are on pg 2..? o3o

yeah, it's sad to see any of them go really, but it's getting down to the nitty gritty and past performance can really kick you in the butt :( spectra's had a few amazing pics ... but also several kinda "meh" ones ... i think both lagoona and ghoulia need to step it up if they want to stay in the running ... and then as amazing as i Clawdeen has been ... is she just a one face too? "Fierce" won't cut it all the time you know even if her shots are amazing ... you have to be able to juxtapose yourself how you need to be. and howleen has been running high and low too ... nefera is pretty even keel ... but really it's still anybody's game lol
