After seeing Glacia471s' post about her Bubbles charm, I needz more info!
I only thought that Hasbro made the Mommy charms, and that was it. So very excited to hear they made others!
So far I've heard of -
Bubbles
Peachy
Medley
Twilight
Glory
Firefly
Blossom
I would love to see some pictures of these, and know if any other charms were made.
Also, as a child I had a Lickety Split (I think!) hair bobble with a reaaaally long tail. Does anyone have pics of these at all?
And I would love to see pics/info of any other G1 jewelry!

Ow wow they are so cute! Thankyou for sharing :)
Going to be keeping an eye out for some of these I think...

I have about 50-75 of these, both loose and MOC. They are pretty much all I collect these days. Will have to make an updated thread for them soon! :satisfied:
-
Here's my Peachy. She looks a bit different than the others in the thread so far. Still Hasbro but made in Portugal. I don't remember her being packaged when I got her as a child.
Edit: Actually, she seems to be in the same style as Sugarminty's Pinwheel.

"Hasbro 1984" on tummy, "Made in Portugal" on left front leg.
Edit no 2: I saw some pins in this thread too, so maybe I should add mine as well, even if it perhaps doesn't count as jewellery(?).

Oh Whitney that sounds like an amazing collection!
They are not something I know too much about - other than a rough list of those that have been spotted...the Bubbles one the other day was new to me though although I guess it makes sense as the majority of them seem to be those early earth and uni/pegs!
-
Love the seapony charm! I also hadn't seen one before!
-
ohmygosh so adorable! My wishlist really didnt need this thread lol!
-

I looked at that Peachy...then looked again...then ran upstairs and checked my Peachy who I thought was a Bully pony. But no - she has rough plastic on the back of her mane where a loop used to be, so I have a Peachy pendant! :cheer: OK she's broken and in rough shape but meh, who cares, she's still gorgeous! So I started my collection without even realizing it :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Ha ha, congrats on "finding" the Peachy. I thought I had thrown mine out because it was surfacing in my room when I was a teenager and I thought I had thrown it out it that age but I just found it yesterday.

The Peachy, Pinwheel and Baby Sea Shimmer are all Portuguese keychains :) There's also Applejack, Baby Surf Rider, Tiny Bubbles, Starflower, Firefly and Heart Throb. I still need an Applejack and Baby Sea Shimmer :)
If we're counting that sort of thing, there's also the Comics Spain figures! Since they are intended to be necklaces, I suppose they count as jewellery ;) Most of mine can be found here:
http://sebby6.darc.net/gallery/view_album.php?set_albumName=album82 (http://sebby6.darc.net/gallery/view_album.php?set_albumName=album82), though there's a couple missing. So far I know of rough equivelents of Glory, Cherries Jubilee, Peachy/Snuzzle, Blossom, Surprise, Posey, Twilight/Starflower, Starshine, Cotton Candy, Heart Throb and potentially Minty and Applejack (I'm not really sure what those symbols are supposed to be!) Most seem to be available across all three breeds and a variety of colours.

What a fantastic collection LadyG...I have always loved these guys - vibrant and slightly scary all at the same time!
I knew they came with Spanish comics...but can I ask what kind of comics? Were they MLP comics similar to the UK and other Euro ones?
-
My Peachy is a necklace though, not a key chain. That's the original string on it - and it's quite long too. I'd like to see Heart Throb.:)

Lol, they didn't actually come with comics - Comics Spain is actually the name of the company! They make a wide-range of figures. I do also have the advertising poster than includes MLP, which puts the date somewhere in the early 90s. I had one as a child (yellow earth pony with balloons)

Ah, interesting! It might be that they came as both.... or it could be that the keychains are an anachronism! That's what they've always been known as, so I assumed it was correct, but then people thought the Comics Spain figures were keyrings as well, since a number have been modified as such, but I know mine came as a necklace. Would be very interested in seeing yours with the string! I do have a pic of Heart Throb, but need to find where I put it :)

Ah, and in looking for the Heart Throb pic I just found an MOC pic I saved that does clearly show the Portuguese ones as necklaces! :yikes: I will have to modify my thinking on that one :)
-
@LadyG! Lol...now there is a misunderstanding I have been under for years! Thank you for clearing that up! he he he....
-
Here's mine on the string. It measures ca. 34 cm (ca 13,38'') from hook to pony, so about double that would be the length of the string, plus the knot. MOC sounds interesting. I don't remember the necklace being packaged when I got it but then again it was a while ago and I can't remember everything. ;)

Awesome, thanks for sharing the pics! It's possible they were sold in more than one way. The ones I have a pic of have blue strings rather than pink, but the material looks the same. I remembered (I appear to have been very forgetful this thread) that I have one that is in a kind of plastic bag, but I'm not sure it's original. I am now thinking they were both necklaces and keyrings though :) The keyrings utilise the hoop on the back, unlike the Comics Spain figures where the keyring is just jammed into their back!
I *think* Comics Spain figures are sold loose in a box, but I'm not positive.

In the same manner as Bully ponies?
-
Yes, they could have been sold as both necklace and key chain. The colour of the string probably has to do with the colour of the pony.
