Ack, the words in my post vannished...fixing this..
I receieved these two in a lot along with a bunch of other chewed up ponies :(  The ponies were hardly played with at all except the mint collector mail order set also had half their ears nibbled and baby Sleep tight had half her back leg missing
What do you even do, try to fix them? I hate throwing out any pony, think if I put them on ebay someone will have a heart to give them a home? I'd probably keep them if I didn't already have a set.
Anyone else have any ponies that this happened to?

Someone would need to sculpt the missing areas, then paint them. Not really a huge deal if you're a customizer. A few chews is no reason to throw away a G1.

oh worry not :) we have master sculptors here :D
You should check out some restoration threads just to see what kind of issues some members here manage to fix - it just makes me smile for days :)

I auggest you go to the customs forum here and post about if someone is willing to take this ponies as a restoration project ^^

Haha, I was going to say - hey, SEND THOSE BABIES TO ME, I will love the stuffing out of them! ;) I'm sure there's someone who would love to have a pair of MO babies at a cheaper price, even if they have missing horns!

I would LOVE to fix these two girls! but I imagine they'd go out of my price range anyway. :/

I wouldn't even fix them up. They are ~survivors~

I agree completely. :D

I collect "baity" ponies. I'd love to take in these girls, except chew marks are one of the few things I try to stay away from. xD

I would never toss a pony because of an ear nibble;) The one I was talking about was the one who was missing a whole leg. I have no doubt I could fix them myself, but seeing as I don't need them for me, I just don't have the time;) I have a million other custom projects lined up for pony fair at the moment. I just didn't know if someone would prefer them fixed. I did have someone pm me who may be interested, just not sure what a fair price would be either?

Aw, poor ponies.

There are a ton of collectors who will take ponies who are chewed on (I'm sure I've had a couple in my collection,) and there are definitely some talented customizers who can sculpt and "fix" them if they wanted to do so.  :)

No idea on prices, though. . .

Aaah I'd love to take them both! I could make you an offer? xxx

Evidently, peoples do want them! If you don't know the value just take offers and the bidders will decide for you.

Gosh...lost horns and legs...and the little cuties are still smiling!

As you and others have mentioned I certainly think they will be of interest to people whether to fix or keep as they are. As to price...thats tough to settle on. I think you would be better with a silent auction - setting a deadline and asking people to make their offer - then they can head off to a new home with the highest bid.

Good luck whichever way you decide to go!

that's exactly what I was thinking! XD

sculpting the missing bits in shouldn't be too hard!

I would take them too!!!  They can be fixed!  I have seen some awesome sculpting restorations posted on here!  I wouldnt even call them bait!  Clearly they would be less valuable with the damaged horns and ears but they are still lovely!

Poor things!! I wonder what kind of critter created that damage? So small and precise. It looks like a child with sharp teeth is to blame. lol

I bet there are lots of collectors that would love to own them in that shape though. A lot of us have that "I feel so sorry for the poor things I just have to take them home and love them" syndrome. lol

Perfect for someone wanting to do a mermaid custom if their legs are nibbled off!  ;)

sounds wonderful that they will likely be getting a new home!

I would keep them that way. They are survivors, and those are their "battle scars" =P
