Title: The Royal Wedding set - Where can I find it?
Post by: Kaeldre on April 25, 2012, 03:57:35 PM: This is driving me utterly bonkers! I /really/ want the new royal wedding set, but I can't find it ANYWHERE! Not at WalMart, not at TRU, or even Target! I can't even find it online! :<

To those who have found it, where did you stumble across it?

I desperately want the set too!! But I'll just wait in the background until someone makes a thread about finding it at target or something with photos of their newly bought set! X3

Are they trying to put them out between the wedding and Christmas? It seems like it's waiting long enough that kids lose a bit of interesst but getting them out early enough that the kids might have most of what they want from the line by the holidays.

I could have sworn that some toys (which I presumed to mean the castle set and wedding-themed ponies) were supposed to be out in spring, and fall was when the rest of the new ponies from the toy faire (the Nightmare Moon set, etc) were going to be released. But I could very well be wrong. It would sure make more sense than releasing the toys so long after the episode airs, though!

I've heard both spring (May/June) and August from different sources so I guess it's just a wait and see at this point.

If we go by the Canterlot special release last year, it would be July, IIRC. But I do hope that Hasbro releases *something* new soon because otherwise that's a really long wait with nothing new in stores for months.

Random question, but the Candence that you got, did it have fully purple wings? I'm trying to see from the video but I'm kind of unsure. Cx

They have popped up in Canada, though not in many places.

That doesn't change anything. The Sweet Slumbers set is part of the third wave of the story packs. We've only gotten the first wave of story packs (the Pinkie Pie & Sweetie Belle set and the Fluttershy nursery set) in the US, so it's very unlikely that we'll see any more of the story packs in the US.

I really hope the castle set won't be too expensive. I really want Shining Armor and Cadence, even more so now after seeing the finale, but I don't have room for the castle so I couldn't keep it. And if I can't find anyone who wants to trade for it or buy it from me, I'll be stuck with the big expensive set just like I'm stuck with the carousel set. But with the carousel, I got it on clearance so I don't feel quite as bad about it sitting and collecting dust. I just really hope the castle won't cost more than $30.

No castle or CMC sets seen though. The talking Princess Cadence is priced the same as the talking Princess Celestia here.

I'm pretty sure they're the new white Celestia and non-tinsel Luna. A few people here already have them and have pictures if you hunt around a bit.

I wondered about that too, some people I think speculated it may be that set of 4 blind bag mane 6 figures? I forget which ones were in there. Personally I hope it's something new entirely.

It's a big heavy box, though. Once you tack on shipping to the agent, agent fee and shipping to you, it's at least what the stores will charge, probably more. If it gets fees tacked on at customs, the price goes up again. Anyone who can wait will probably be better off buying it locally or getting it shipped from a closer country.
