All my life I've collected childrens fairy tales I have an obession. I don't however collect the normal ones oh no...I collect the unusal. Such as the ordinary princess, melisande, east of the sun and west of the moon, The Enchanter's Daughter and a lot more besides. there are also the ones I have been told they live mainely in my memory and I don't know what to do with them, becuase of my learning dificulty I am loathed to try to write them as I feel they may lose soemthing in the translation and yet I don't want them to die with me eather. Any one got any ideas...

They sound fascinating, actually. Maybe dictate to someone, so they can write/type them down? Or record yourself speaking them?

what she said:)
they also sell software that converts speech into words on a computer, you might try that

Hmmm... I like the record yourself speaking idea :)
I'd love to hear or read the stories sometime :P
-
They sound neat! I agree with the above suggestions.
-
Or find a good macabre style artist and make some not-so-children's books :D
-
I'd never though of recording them how silly of me I am sure I can get something on the computer to record them. I tryed speach to text software but that glitches hugely uselually.

Sounds like you have a good idea--best of luck implementing it <3

Have you seen the new webcomic Erstwhile? The artists are taking the lesser-known works of the Brothers Grimm and turning them into beautiful comics. I'm not sure if they'll be doing non-Grimm tales later, but it's worth suggesting they do some of your favourites, Grimm or no. :) The comments are full of other fairy tale reading recommendations, too. Here's the site:
