Hello! I am taking a public speaking class at my local community college that was offered through my school. Our next speech is an "informative" speech, so I decided to talk about pony collecting! :) I do have a couple of questions, though, that I would really appreciate answers to! All who help me out will be cited in my bibliography (either by name or username), unless you would prefer me to not. :)
+Who are the most expensive US release ponies?
+who are the most expensive Nirvana ponies? I am thinking Ladybird, Thailand Mountain boys and maybe Takaras, but I'm not really sure. :blush:
+How many ponies do you have in your collection? How long have you been collecting? How old are you (if you feel comfortable sharing), and what is your gender? (will just cite the members of the arena in general for these answers)

Who are the most expensive US release ponies?
Rapunzel, Sweet Scoops, Mom and Baby pony, Birthday twins (These are all mail order only ponies and thus, harder to find!)
+who are the most expensive Nirvana ponies? Can't really help too much there... I know South African ponies are expensive! You could pop over to the nirvana forum and ask.

The most expensive US release...probably still Sweet Scoops, Rapunzel or the Mommy/Baby MO
The most expensive Nirvana....you ll probably have more luck over in Nirvana for that...I would guess one of the MIB Takaras though...probably something which is "one of a kind"....
About 1100 ponies last count. A long time on the fringes of lingering and lurking in the pony world but actively collecting about 10 years or so....I am a girl and I am 28 [*cough* *cough* ok I am 31]

Sorry I can't be any help about the expensive ponies but you're having the best pony experts here :). This speech sounds interesting btw, would love to see/read/whatever about it later :).

Mail Order ponies! Which one in particular is tough to say, but in general they're all priced quite a bit higher than normal releases.

Yep you're right on those. I would also so non-US/non-Euro ponies with unique bright color combinations that were never produced elsewhere are the most expensive.

I couldn't tell you how many ponies are in my collection to be honest. Over 100 :) And I've been collecting off and on for 12 years.

I'm 23 and a female :) I was born near the end of US production of the G1's and still young enough to buy and enjoy the G2's as a kid.
