I sifted through the box of blind bags at toys r us today, i remembered to bring my notebook with me so i could see which ponies are which. i grabbed a number 23, which is supposed to be glittery twilight sparkle i believe. i always grab the sparkle ones out of the box. and i managed to find a minty left in the box as well. i got back to my car, when i opened the sparkly twilight sparkle. i was going to keep her in the package, but i decided to open her as i already had one, and i wanted to play with her on the boring car ride. she was a regular twilight sparkle!!!!! the package was labeled 23 and she was a normal twilight!!!! :( i really wish i would of left her behind. i don't want her >.<
but at least i got my minty i wanted :) i wanted an extra minty to keep as my pocket pony.

I can understand why you were annoyed. I don't have much else to say, but playing with a pony in the car sounds fun. ^^

Bummer! I got a glittery one before they changed the numbers. I have a bunch of regulars. Hope you get a glittery one next time!

Oh....frustration! That is very annoying...but I love the idea of you playing with the ponies on a car journey...
I think Twilight has an underground breeding programme going on - every time I seem to get G4 anything from anyone, I seem to end up with another Twilight blind bag or another Twilight brushable...just as well I like her so much!

I've actually had to take my time in looking at the new numbers. I have doubles of almost all of them (not on purpose because my friend sent me a much so I didn't have to look)
I'm still missing a certain one though... The pink version of Twilight Sparkle :c Is she even in the US?

i heard she wasn't in the US, i got a purple version of her when i got my glitter one, and everyone else i know around here got purple too.

XD I usually squish the bags around until it's on a part of their hair so I can make sure its the right color. The bags get pretty crumpled in the process but no ones ever said anything to me while I was messing with them. The glittery ones all look a blue/green color in the bag though because of their glitter. When I was looking for pink Twilight, I would poke her horn through the hole :P

At the closest Wal-mart to my house, which by the way is a mess of a store, I have found that most the blind bags are already open. I guess someone didn't want to bother with the numbers at all--lol.
And yes, the pink twilight sparkle was a factory error that only appeared in the first batches in Germany. I had her, but sold her recently because I needed money.

A bunch of the bags were ripped up in one Walmart I went to as well, and someone had put a McDonalds twilight in there with them o_O she came home with me lol, I'm sure it looked like I was stealing xD

Well take a look at Ebay and people are selling their "unopened" bags naming the ponies in them. I can understand why Hasbro wanted to maybe have some more mystery.

Lol...I know...you would think if they were trying to force additional purchases by making it more difficult...they would also have mixed up the numbers! I guess it was just a change in production rather than any other conspiracy theory for the new coding! But hey thats HB I guess nothing more fun to them than confusing us all!

That's kinda rude, to open them in store. I wonder if you found them like that if you could ask for a discount for damaged goods..... XD
And not quite the same place. Now they're on the middle flap about 1/3 of the way down. Or up. Whatever.

US blindbags have some extra numbers tacked on, but as banditpony pointed out, the second and fourth digit in sequence equal the UK number, which makes things much easier.

Thanks for the info everyone! Now hopefully I can get a Minty next time I'm at Wal-mart.
