Hi, everyone. :) A few months ago, I started getting interested in trying to do some custom ponies. I began to do a few, but I was terrible at rehairing. So this Easter, in lieu of candy, my husband bought me a rehairing tool. He actually really helped with the rehairing, I still don't think I could do it myself. But anyway, here is our first rehair ... G4 baby Gusty.

I have a G4 Screwball in progress which I actually painted, but we wanted to try something easy first to get used to the rehairing process. I hope you like her. :)
Edit: The G4 adult gusty in the background was done by the very talented Hannaliten. I couldn't do that well on a custom if you paid me to. :P

Squee, she's adorable! The hair looks great ^^

Such a sweetie!!! I'm still scared to try my hand at rehairing a G4.. they're so tiny! You're lucky to have such a supportive husband, mine is too <3

Rehairing a G4 is not for the faint of heart, especially a baby pony. I don't know what we were thinking, to be honest! Getting the hair out of sweetie belle was the worst part of the process. Once it was out, the rest was easy. With the rehairing tool from dollyhair, getting the hair back in the head is a piece of cake. :)
And yeah, I love that my husband is so supportive. I usually am the one with all the lofty ideas and he helps me execute them. He's helped me make puppets, plushies, and even LittleBigPlanet levels. He's MUCH better at crafts than I am. ^__^
Thank you for your kind words on Baby Gusty!

Wow she looks great! What a perfect addition to your Gusty collection!

Pretty! :)

That is so adorable!!!!!
Getting hair out of a g4 is a pain, even with my curved forceps. But the hairing goes SO much faster than the other gens that it's almost fun. (I do use the Dollyhair tool and can't imagine life without it)

Thanks all!
And yeah, getting the hair out was the worst part! It was killing my hands. We ended up boiling the head and then my husband quickly shoved the needle nose pliers in there and just started to rip the hair out as quickly as he could. I got the hair out of pinkie pie much easier. I don't think I'll ever do a baby pony ever again! But we rehaired Gusty in about an hour, and it was our first rehair, that tool was a lifesaver!

She's adorable!

Thanks, Karin! Means a lot to hear you say that since you are like oh-so-awesome at customizing! :)
I sort of messed up the hair when I was cutting it because I did something dumb! Actually, my husband is the only reason that this looks good at all, lol.

Awwww how cute it turned into a "together" project!
-
Jsut adorable!! I love her!

Love the army pic! So cute!

Thanks everyone! :) And Gusty is probably the only "army" that I have. I guess I'm slowly building a Shady army, but two Shadies is hardly an "army" :)
And my husband and I do all of our crafts together. It gives us something to do on a rainy day, and our stuff comes out better with both of us working on it than when either of us are working alone. It's been like that with everything. We found this out when we started working on LittleBigPlanet levels together. Alone, our levels are nothing, together, for some reason, they get thousands of plays. :)
Wait a minute! I think I might have just learned a lesson in friendship. Where's Spike so I can write to princess celestia?! :P
In seriousness, thank you all for the kind comments on this. I know it's not perfect, but at least it hasn't fallen apart yet. So, there's a plus. :P
