Title: Whoa! Pony Plushy Pattern Prices
Post by: babystarz on April 06, 2012, 05:18:42 PM
Hey all, check your pony stuffs for any original MLP plushy patterns you aren't attached to. Now is a great time to sell!

Look at how much 2 of them went for in my recent auction:

For those who don't want to click the link, that's $36. I think I paid something like $5 for them a few years ago o.O

Holy cats! That's a good price! I'm not quite willing to sell mine yet, though- I still have hopes that I might learn to sew. Ha!

They are in good condition. I didn't pay much less than that for mine a few years ago tbh and I don't think mine are quite as neat. :)

I used to have the Starshine pattern...sadly the pieces went missing over the years (and several moves).  That's a pretty good deal.  I don't see them up very often.  What I would love to get my hands on would be the pattern for the flattie ponies.  They were basically patterns for flat CP ponies that you could make into lots of other things like ornaments, magnets, etc.

I have that one - not got around to making any yet though! There are a few different poses and are made out of felt. They are meant as Christmas ornaments, but you could use for anything you can think of.

Actually think thats only a little higher than you would expect - they have been in the $8-12 bracket each for a while - although occasionally auctions will be much higher and others much lower of course as per the ebay norm!

Congrats on your auction though...

I know the ones you're talking about. It seems to me that you could just trace/print out some old lineart or even a photo of a CP, use that for a pattern, and just leave some seam allowance when cutting. Unless you mean you'd like the original pattern for its own collectibility, in which case, ignore me. ^^

That would work, but as they are made out of felt and are flat, no seam allowances are necessary. The patterns for the felt ponies are really very crude.
