Title: Smoothie recipes
Post by: stopxmotion on April 05, 2012, 07:38:42 PM
I just got a new hand blender as a gift and I cannot wait to try it out. I don't know what to make though! I love unique and yummy drinks so please share your favorite recipes for smoothies or other drink concoctions.

My husband loves bandanna kiwi smoothies and banana strawberry smoothies. He uses frozen fruit instead of loading it with ice and usually uses juice instead of water for a liquid base. He does one banana, a half cup of frozen strawberries and apple juice. I like to do ice, milk and Hersey chocolate syrup.

Ok so not exactly recipes but still food for thought. Get it? He he.

I like frozen yogurt or vanilla ice cream with peanut butter, banana, and a shot of chocolate syrup or honey. This was pretty much all I'd eat when I had my wisdom teeth pulled, and it's still a favourite to this day. Milk may need to be added, depending.

Another favourite is pineapple, banana, and coconut flakes / flavouring with the base. Is delicious, like a pina colada.

It's not unusual, but I love blueberries, strawberries, and a bit of raw sugar and some milk.  The strawberries and blueberries should be frozen.

I also like adding acai...because I love how it tastes.  Our local Whole Foods has pureed, frozen acai mix...it has acai and a few other things and its goooood.

I also like coconut milk and pineapples with a bit of ice and raw sugar thrown in.  I'll look for my other smoothie recipes and come back with more.  XD

Oooh like coconut extract? I love pina coladas.

These all sound so good!
