I've started making G4-inspired MLP plushies. As much as I love the Mane 6 and the famous bg ponies, I would love to do something a little different to separate my plushies from the herd that's up on Ebay. What about older generation ponies done in the style of G4s?
I figured there would be no better group to ask than the kind Arena folks. Some are obvious choices, like Firefly and Surprise (who are often drawn in G4 style). But what about others? I was thinking of doing some of my original favorites, like Glory, Medley, and the Rainbow Ponies, and darnit if G3 Minty isn't the cutest thing ever.
If you were to have a G4-styled plush of any MLP, any gen, who would it be? :)

Gusty. Absolutely Gusty. I'd throw money at my monitor until the monitor broke. But not gusty with the rarity and twilight sparkle eyes. Gusty with Lyra's eyes. Yeah. :) Best thing ever.
Maybe Shady, too.

...Okay really i want a Skyflier or a Gusty. Gusty is probably cute for a plushieeeee~ and Skyflier, i want a plushie with orange colors. And a Thistle Wistle with Fluttershy eyes~

Thank you for the suggestions! I think Gusty will be the next plushie I make (and I will post a link up on here once she's up on Ebay!) She's got lovely colors, and I think she'd be fun to concept as a G4.
Other suggestions I've heard were Bowtie, Mimic, the original 6 "collector" ponies, or the "concept" G4s (Surprise, Firefly, Twilight, etc).
Please chime in if there's a plushie you would *really* like to have! I'm trying to narrow it down to which ones people would be the most interested in seeing (and hopefully I can find the right colors of fabric). ^^

Bow Tie or Fifi [yes I know on the latter its just cause she is my fav] but Bow Tie is a always a popular lady!
If you are looking to sell them on ebay however you should stick with the characters the original 6 are based on - so Surprise as you mention as well as Posey, Firefly, Sparkler etc.

Mimic would certainly make an interesting G4 style pushie. And another interesting one would be the G1 Birthday Pony.

Well, as I said earlier, I'd pretty much throw all of my money at the screen for a gusty or shady plush. :)

I really really want a g4 style surprise plush! Or mirror mirror and sparkler.

Glory! (And you can't have Glory without Moondancer too :P ) I'm sure Medley and Bowtie would be popular choices as well...and I think it'd be really awesome to see a G2 Ivy, too!

Thank you all for the replies! I just finished my first plush last night, so I updated the first post with a picture. This is what the plushes will look like (although they can have different mane/tail styles, and different eyes of course).

Can we vote more than once? Because Bowtie, Moondancer, and Glory are three of my favorite G1s and all of them would just be too cute for your plushies. ^^

Yes please! I'm just making the list to see how often different ponies are mentioned - the more, the better!
My goal is to make plushies for ebay, and I don't want to make something that only one person cares about - if you'd bid on more than one, then please post all of them. :) Since there seems to be so much demand for Gusty, she'll be up next.

Updates:
Applejack is nearing completion. Just needs her tail and her cutie marks finished up. She'll be going up on Ebay as soon as she's finished!
Next on deck is Medley (because Gusty's mane fabric is on order right now, couldn't find anything close locally so I had to send for some). Gusty will be done right after Medley.
Others planned for the near future: Firefly, Surprise, Bowtie, Glory, and Minty (probably G3/G4 colors).
If you have others you'd like to see as plushies, please do post! I'm tallying up the total number of requests for a pony to decide who to make next. ^^

Might I pop in and add that TAF ponies would be beautiful! But of course, it's a lot of work with the symbols. x_x

I've had the idea to do this, too. When I get the fabric, I'm starting with Moondancer and Sunburst. I'd love to compare our final plushies when the time comes!

For those who suggested Bubbles, would you definitely want her in a seated pose, or is standing up ok too? :)

Oh man if you could do a seated pose plushie that would be awesome! I would definitely say go for it if you can do it. ^^ It's original and something I haven't seen with a lot of the other plushie makers out there.
My vote is for the TAF ponies as well. I know they'd be extra work but I think a plushie version of any of these ponies would look so keen! Hmm, as for which one to start with... I think Merriweather or Sugarberry!

I started on a second :muffin: Pony and a Medley OR Minty last night - just a pale mint green body (not sure which one it will become). Gusty's up on deck, too - now that I got in the fleece I ordered for her mane. :)

Thank you all for the suggestions. I've got my Etsy shop opened, and I will be posting any new ponies up there. I'm taking orders on all ponies I've made so far. :)
Minty is nearly done, and Gusty is up next. I *finally* found a decent color for Surprise's hair, and Medley & Firefly are in the queue as well. They'll all be up in the shop when they're done! ^^
