Was browsing TV shows on Netflix just now when I came across Friendship is Magic.....Season 1 on there. Thought any fellow Netflix users would like to know and I know what day I'm posting this on but this is no April Fool's prank.
-
nice! good lookin out!
-
SWEET! There's nothing on right now on regular ole' TV, so YAY!
-
Wow, really? :) This is definitely nice news!
-
I thought at first maybe this was an April Fool's joke but you're right! :frolic:
-
Really? That's cool and good to know!
-
O.o
This is amazing news!
-
wow ! I hope season 3 is on there. if so I'll be jumping iTunes ship ASAP. they are so flakey.
-
I don't think season 2 will show up until awhile after season 2 ends but it's still awesome to get all of season 1 instead of the randomly thrown together episodes that are on the dvds^^
-
I just saw this and I'm super duper excited! They just added Pound Puppies season 1 also :)
-
Thanks for the info! It's especially good because I'm cancelling cable and only having Netflix next month :)
-
I just saw this, too! I'm also in a Netflix-only household, so this is awesome. :)
-
Baw, USA only I guess. I hope Canada gets it soon too.
-

My husband and I just did that ourselves two or three weeks ago
-
Taking bets on how long it takes the 6 yo to find it. On the other hand, mama is running on little sleep and may show her if she is squirrely later. Thanks muchly!
-
It should be watchable with the Wii's Netflix channel, right? My computer's terribly slow with Youtube, so it'll be nice to be able to rewatch an episode if I want to without having to wait twenty minutes for it to load.
-
Offtopic but holy crap they have season 1 of Transformers Prime on there too. =O
Edit: My husband and I were able to watch Youtube and Netflix on his Xbox 360 before we had to send it in for repairs so I guess if the Wii has Netflix as an app you should be able to watch it on the Wii also.
-
And the PS 3 as well.
-
I could have sworn this was an april fools joke when I saw it earlier! This is great news. :)
-
Awesome! Is it available for streaming or just getting the DVD's sent?

It's available for streaming :) I'm watching it on my PS3 now :D
-
*runs to turn on wii for netflix* Yays! :frolic:
-
And don't forget the 360. :P
I just saw this! I can free up room in my DVR now!
-
Oh I thought this was an april fools joke played on us by EQD. :|
-
this made my day so much better.
-
so cool!
-
AH! When I first saw this I was like why would you do this to me. Thinking it was an april fool. But now I'm so happy! Woo!
-
Oh cool! Now I don't have to search all over the place for it lol
-
Awesome! Such a shame that we took my bf's Wii back to his home and currently have no way of watching Netflix whenever we're at my house.
I guess I always have my iPhone and the app!
-
And don't forget the 3DS! Now my son and I can chill in bed and watch it on lazy days or watch it out and about.
-
This is only in the US though, right? I am so tired of the Canadian Netflix getting nothing. Sigh. All the good anime and shows are in the US. :(
-
Not sure if I want to watch them again, but this is still pretty cool. :)
-
yay! The only thing that bugs me about Netflix is some of the shows are removed from streaming and I don't notice it until I try to watch it again.
-
Drat... of course it shows up *after* we cancel our trial period. I wonder if Amazon Prime will get it
-
So awesome! Thanks for the heads up! :)
-
SWEET! Now I can watch ponies while I sort stuff for the fair, so excited:D
-
Bah. You want to try being from the UK.
I CANT EVEN GET THE EPS ON ITUNES! *sobs*
-
Awesome for the streaming! (Since we only suscribe to their streaming service and not the DVD rental). :D
-
Goodie! We are planning to switch back to Netflix soon.

I have done this!
Apple, I demand ponies! I will pay!

This was really good news. We turned off our cable a couple years ago and switched to netflix/hulu+ and have not regretted it. Having FIM on there is just the awesome icing on the cake!

Good! I say do it again. I would like to think that Apple "leaning" on Hub/Hasbro just adds weight to the demand! I wish I could help more. I wonder if it's a copyright thing or some other legal thing we don't know about.

This is actually out of Hasbro/Apples hands due to the way international licensing of shows works. When a broadcaster licenses a show, they also license distribution rights as well. If it weren't for the distribution rights, no company would bother to license the show since that's where all the money is.
So, the people you should contact is the company handling FIM in your country, they are the ones who need to hurry up and get with the times :)
I have to answer this question a lot in IRC :)

Thanks for the tip! Watching it now! Our internet connection here is shotty -- for surfing the web it's fine, MOST of the time, but trying to watch videos is frustrating. It seems to work best through the xbox. How or why... I dunno. But only for Netflix. Hulu Plus doesn't really work so well.
Yay ponies!!!!!
-
My husband and I have found that Xbox is great for streaming Netflix content. We have a Blu-Ray player that has Netflix on it as well, but it's kind of terrible.
Netflix software is different from device to device. On computers and on the Xbox, the quality of the video will be dumped down if your connection speeds drop. On the Blu-Ray player, every frame of video would appear as crisp as possible. The quality never dropped at all, and the playback would often just stop altogether. It's funny how it works.
Hulu's software is an entirely different critter altogether, so it makes sense that it would perform differently. :)

I can get netflix on our bluray I think! Never tried it, haha. We have it on the Wii and are too used to using it there. Also have it on the 3DS.
-
I was browsing Netflix last night and saw it on there. Looks like you all beat me to it by a day! Oh well. Super excited its there because I need to finish up a few episodes.
-
yay :D Now i can watch ponys in bed
-
That's so great to know because we might be getting Netflix again to replace our cable. Yay! :)
-
So I was browsing my Netflix yesterday and stumbled across...
Season 1 of the FiM MLP show!
I am so super excited! My kids and I are totally watching that tomorrow. (It's about time Netflix got something good!)
So if you have Netflix, you can enjoy the wonderful first season of the Magic of Friendship now. :frolic:
-
Already a thread about it. :)

I agree it's really awesome they put it on there.
-
HA! I just made a new thread about this, but I guess I'd already been beaten. And here I am thinking I was on top of things.
Sorry moderators, I promise I'll look harder next time before I start a thread *hides face in shame*
-
yeah, I saw that right after I posted. I was just so excited!
-
No prob!1 I'll merge or you!
-
This makes me so happy. I love watching My Little Pony on the big screen. Now they need to put up some of the older cartoons. =p
-
Yes they do. I've thought that about the Hub for awhile too. They have G1 Transformers and G1 G.I. Joe but they don't have G1 MLP on there.
