Title: Messed up Gusty. How can I fix her?
Post by: Scarab on March 30, 2012, 07:49:05 AM
Today a received a pony in the mail and I am not that sure where she came from. A friend of mine bought me one and got the seller to send it directly to me, but I've seen pictures of that one and I can assure you that the Gusty I saw was whole and did not have a mane/tale cut.

My friend is going to look with the seller and all so hopefully it's not a case of being ripped of, but until then is there something I can do for poor Gusty? Is the ear fixable?
As you can see she got pretty good symbols/eyes so I would prefer to keep her as Gusty.

For the ear, you can use sculpting clay!

I was thinking about that, but I haven't worked with clay all that much so hopefully I won't make her uglier.

If you can find some fakies, I would suggest practising on them :)
If you want to rehair her as well, there are some guides here on the forum, but I also suggest practising first on fakies ^^

alternatively, you can find someone here who would be able and willing to restore her for you :)

A hat!!!!!!

She would look very fetching in the Pony Holiday's straw boater!

...in all seriousness... sculpting clay is the only solution...you could ask over in customs for a how to guide or some pointers maybe?

If she was bought very recently I saw her on eBay not to long ago. Same ear and same haircut and the odds arent that big that two in similar condition pops up so close to eachother!

She had the cut ear very visible in the auction. Not sure if it's was mentioned though but I think it was.

That is indeed the Gusty I have here at home, but that is not the one that my friend bought so I will look into this more.

Problem solved. My friend had quite some different auctions up and just made a mistake. Oh well, stuff like that happens.
Now I need to fix some sculpting clay and new hair and she'll be like new.  ^.^

I would definitely suggest sculpting her a new ear. Its just the tip that is missing so it shouldn't be that tedious to make her a new one.. just use her other ear as a reference and take your time  :)
Definitely worth trying to save her though, she's beautiful!
