::update::
And... just finished hairing my Disprosus Baby Pony. Disprosus is when animals grow two faces! It is super creepy >=) Included a comparison pic to a real pony, because the porcelain ones shrink a lot. Also added a tumbler made with G1 rubber stamps.
Thinking I will start single color/single glaze pony customs at around $40... and up for additional decoration, extra faces, etc.
They probably take several hours of total solid work. But there is tons of waiting in between, clay needs to dry, moisten, bake, etc.
Please sell me your pony stampers and broken pony porcelain figurines for my pony projects! :lovey: visitors can't see pics , please register or login

Lastest porcelain pony... Song Dynasty Baby Lotus! With matching teacups for you and her! I made her for the staff and student show at the pottery studio that I intern at. (It is possible somepony noticed my pony hair panic the other day >_< ) I'm working on a mail order pamphlet for her as well as if she were a mail order pony you could get with horseshoe points and red rose tea UPCs =P

Brilliant! The execution is flawless! Your work with molds and new pony materials is truly inspiring!

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is one of the most gorgeous things I have ever seen. WAAAAAAAAANT!!!!!!!!
Are you going to be doing commissions for these in the future...????
-
Just Amazing!!! Great work!
-
thanks everybody! i still have some color testing to do, but i plan to open up for customs in the not too distant future. the pony IS porcelain just like the cups, with celadon glaze.
These are some quick and dirty tutorials I put together about the process.

BTW! If anybody has a G1 porcelain figurine that is broken a bit and would like to sell/trade me, I would love to make molds of those so people could paint their own blank porcelain pony scenes. (The process could harm the figurine and I wouldn't want to risk an undamaged one)
-
Wow! What an amazing and time consuming process...and fascinating! I am enjoying it a great deal.
-
Omygosh! I'm so in awe of this, it looks crazy complicated!
Do you sell these? If so how much are they?
-
I will definitely have to add one (or more) of these to my collection someday! They are so neat. :)
-
Amazing! I hope I'll have the money to commission one someday! Do you have prices in mind yet?
-
Very cool - love the coloring!

-
That is spectacular! I love it! I always had a thing for teacups growing up, and this is a beautiful blend of cute teacups and a pony! This is stunning and I love it! Wow
-
She's so pretty! The design and colors are just amazing!
-
I remember seeing your porcelain ponies before as well as your casting tutorial. Nice to see that you added the actual casting part, it starts to make sens in my head but I'll definitely never do anything like that!
How long does it usually take to make a full pony?
I love the matching teacups! So delicate :)
-
She is so perfectly done:) i cant wait till you open for commissions x

So she's made from a mold?? I adore the glaze you used and how simple but pretty the whole set is.
-
You're the master!!!! How I wish I'm your neighbour. lol I'll be sitting at your desk making new ponies everyday. Love the porcelain petites and this baby unicorn is simply precious!!!
-
this truly is one of the coolest things I've seen in a while - i cant stay away from this thread, just to look at it one more time...and one more! and...
I loved your tutorial, as well. And I can't wait for a chance to buy a pink one from you someday!
-
thanks so much you guys! you are all so much cooler (at least 20%) than all the retired people at my pottery studio who are too old to remember my little ponies >=/
(and I added a new pony and answered a few questions vaugly back at the beginning of the post)

I loooove the porcellain pony and teacup and I'd love to scroll up again, but then I might see the pic of the cat again and it totally freaks me out. (I'm a softie when it comes to those things). Could you please put the pic behind a link? Pleaaaase... :yikes:
But your work is inspiring and I'd love to try it myself... or order one sometime. :lovey:

Will Diprosopus baby ponies be available, too?! That will have to go on my "things to get when I have the money" list, as well. XD
-
Is there any chance you will make a G3 version of this? If so, please put me on your list for one. Thanks.

Eventually! I was switching in and out horns and wings... then I was like everything can be changed! Conjoined twins, totally altered poses, combined poses, 3-head cerberus
