Yesterday I got fairly bored so I decide to watch a couple of Disney films in YouTube I watched Lady and the Tramp. I loved it it was great to watch it again brought back some great memories. ^_^ I watched Bambi too and I must say that's always been my favorite. I was surprised to find out that Bambi was made in 1942 and Lady and the Tramp was made in the 1950's.
Pretty much all the Disney movies I watched when I was a kid were pretty old at the time. O_o so which one is your favorite Disney movie? I will always live Bambi the most I think. ^^
-
Has to be beauty and the beast for me. I just love Belle! Close runner up is the little mermaid. :)
-
Gosh, this is difficult.
I suppose my most favorite is The Lion King, but it's funny cause I've seen that movie so many times I don't think I can stand to sit through it again anytime in the next 10 years or so..
Close second is Brother Bear. I'm sad that movie never got the praise it deserved.
-
Easy!!! Beauty and the Beast followed closely by The Little Mermaid! I could watch and sing along to both of these pretty much any time!
-
The Lion King, hands down :lovey:
I also love Aladdin and the hugely underrated 'The Black Cauldron'. Gurgi is adorable!
-
Another Beauty and the Beast vote here. It's flawless in my opinion - the songs, the animation, the plot ... it's Disney at its absolute best.
Other favorites of mine include The Great Mouse Detective, The Three Caballeros (now if only I can get my hands on a DVD), Lilo and Stitch, The Black Cauldron, Pinocchio, and ... yeah, The Lion King (can't overlook its technical aspects.) I do hate to see Aladdin overlooked, as the songs from the movie are absolute perfection.
Do half animated/half live action ones count? Because if so, Pete's Dragon is one of my most beloved films ever.
Can I just say that while I don't actually like the plot line of The Little Mermaid that much, that I will watch it again and again because of "Part of Your World" and "Poor Unfortunate Souls"? Ursula is my FAVORITE Disney villain. I know we had that poll recently but ... still, Ursula is one of the best characters Disney ever dreamed up, all the way from her voluptious design, to her sassy demeanor, to her smoky voice.

The Little Mermaid
Princess and the Frog
Great Mouse Detective
Aladdin
In that order....
-
The Lion King!!
But I also LOVE Beauty and the Beast (my cat is named Belle), Lilo and Stitch, Aristocats, Robin Hood and many more!
-
My favourites are The Lion King 1 & 2 and Bambi for sentimental reasons, but I think the top 10 best ever are (in no particular order):
Beauty and the Beast
Aladdin
The Lion King
Bambi
Songs of the South (part animation)
The Little Mermaid
Pocahontas
Fantasia
Dumbo
The Lady and the Tramp
There are so many good ones you forget about...can you believe Snow White was made in 1937??
I haven't watched many of the sequels...Pocahontas 2 was on TV the other day and it was pretty terrible. Which of the sequels are actually worth watching? I've always wanted to watch The Little Mermaid and Bambi 2 but are they any good?
-
The Little Mermaid!
Wich was tricky 'cus it was ina red case whit no lable, so was our Alice in Wonderland ( wich is so scray and we hated it, we being me and my siblings) And if we choses the wrong one we didn't get to change.
It was dangers to want to see The little mermaid O.O

Bambi

Bambi 2 is wonderful. You'll enjoy that one. :) Ended up being a good father/son movie.
My favorite animated Disney movie would have to be The Lion King.
-
The Lion King
Aladdin
Brother Bear
Beauty and the Beast
-
the lion king! and the lion king 2!!
seems like the lion king is a pretty universal fav:)
-
I can't really decide but if I had to chose one it would be Oliver and Company. I'm a big Billy Joel fan.
-
The Lion King, definitely. And TLK 2; I like the sequel almost as much as the original.
My other favorites are Aladdin, Mulan, Pocahontas, Toy Story (all three), 101 Dalmatians, The Little Mermaid, Tangled, and A Bug's Life. I honestly don't think I could ever get tired of any of them.
Am I the only one who was thoroughly bored by Cinderella, Beauty and the Beast, and Sleeping Beauty? I don't know... they're just not my type of story, I guess.
-
I think The Little Mermaid is my all-time favorite, but I also love Tangled, Beauty and The Beast, Pocahontas, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, The Lion King, Peter Pan, The Fox and The Hound, Lady and The Tramp, and The Aristocats.
-
My absolute favorite has always been Sleeping Beauty. It took 4 years for Disney to make it I believe, finally being finished when Disneyland opened in 1959 and was one of the most expensive to make for its time due to the intricate artwork. I love everything about it. The magic, the storyline, the characters, the artwork and the music. Music from Tchaikovsky's Sleeping Beauty Ballet was adapted for it. It is even the 16th full length animated film made by Disney which happens to be my favorite number. Even the development of the 3 good fairies and Maleficient fascinates me.
Anyway, enough about Sleeping Beauty. My other absolute favorites are Cinderella and Beauty and the Beast in that order. Honorable mentions include The Princess and the Frog, Tangled, The Great Mouse Detective, Oliver and Company, Mulan, Lady and the Tramp and Alice in Wonderland.
-
Beauty and the Beast for sure!!!!! ^.^
-
Thaaaat is a hard question buuut I think Aristocats is my favourite favourite Disney movie, but I love 101 Dalmatians and Lion King a lot too and a few more, hahah :silly:
-
It's a tough decision, but I think Bambi's my favourite. :)
That gorgeous artwork, & I absolutely love the soundtrack, it sends chills down my spine. I also admire the amount of dedication poured into it, t'was obviously a labour of love.
Close behind are The Fox & the Hound & Lady & the Tramp.

This. :)
I love everything about that movie I love the sound track. I haven't seen much of it, but Bambi 2 looks pretty good. It answers a few questions about what happens after his Mum dies. It even starts of from when Bambi's Dad tells him his mother can't be with him anymore.
-
My favourite Disney villain is definitely Ursula, and I like the Little Mermaid for her parts. For movies as a whole, I am not sure. Snow White is classic, and will always have a special place for me. I love Lion King for the songs. Aladdin was my favourite when I was younger, because of the humour. Unfortunately many of the jokes have not aged well ;)
-
Aladdin! My 3-year old is obsessed with it at the moment. And I just can't resist when she sneaks up behind me and whispers: "Jafar, I haven't realized how incredibly handsome you are" LOL
-
Easily, my favorite is Bambi. The animation is absolutely gorgeous to look at, they perfectly captured the mannerisms of deer. And I love the oil paintings for the backgrounds.
Some other ones I really enjoy are 101 Dalmatians, Fox and the Hound and Beauty and the Beast. But, really, I love all of the animated Disney movies, just to varying degrees.
-

Lion King and Bambi are pretty much tied for me. Had I been able to see Bambi a million times in the theaters I probably would have. I thought the sequel (which is really a "midquel") was okay. The animation was excellent, the plot was decent but I hated the music! It didn't fit with the original Bambi music at all.

Havent seen much of Bambi 2 but I agree about the music I'm not a fan.
Other movies I like are
101 Dalmations
Lady and the Tramp 1 and 2
Lion King 1 and 2
-
This is hard...I love The Little Mermaid, Lady and the Tramp, Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, Aristocats, 101 Dalmations, Bolt, and Fox and the Hound to name a few...can't pinpoint a favorite I guess :P
-
My favorite is Tangled, closely followed by The Little Mermaid and Atlantis: The Lost Empire. Atlantis doesn't get the praise it deserves sadly :(
-
Easily The Little Mermaid for me
I vividly recall being told off for using my fork to brush my hair at the dinner table... I guess it just really spoke to me
Aladdin and The Lion King are tied for my second favourites.
-
Definitely The Lion King! Also, Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid, and A Goofy Movie!
-
Oliver & Company! Love it so much I collect the merch ^-^
-
I really do love them all for their own reasons, but the movies I am most smitten by, in the order I fell in love with them are:
Oliver & Company
Beauty and the Beast
The Lion King 1, 1 1/2, and 2
These are the three films I avidly collect toys of, especially Oliver & Company (I have plushies of the whole cast!) and TLK 1 + 2 (only cast member plushies I'm missing are Sarabi and Mufasa, rare and expensive ones indeed :[ )
I also really love A Goofy Movie, and An Extremely Goofy movie, but merch is SO hard to come by!!
-
Too many to name, probably! From the Fab Four, my favorite is maybe The Little Mermaid...? Or it could be BatB. Omg, I can't decide between the two! Both are wonderful and I could watch them again and again. I think TLM might have a slight edge, but just veeery slight. The music was beyond fantastic in both--with Howard Ashman working on the helm--and Disney films' music just hasn't been the same since his death, IMO.
From the classic Walt Disney animated films I love Sleeping Beauty. I thought the art style was just amazing... amazing, amazing art direction. Whatever failings the story may have had takes a backseat to how much I love the art. I think Aurora, modeled after Audrey Hepburn, is one of the most beautiful princesses drawn.
-
The Lion King, and then The Emperor's New Groove. Or maybe the other waya round. It depends on my mood!
-
Lion King of course! XD It's also what got me into hyenas. I also like greatly: Robin Hood, Great Mouse Detective, Rescuers Down Under, Meet the Robinsons, Oliver and Company, and probably others I can't think of right now.
I collect Lion King stuff mostly, as far as collecting goes. I have loads of it. : D I love LK stuff. Especially the hyenas. Best villains ever!! >: )
Whelu--which Sarabi plush do you mean? That one that came with the little finger-puppet-type baby Simba plush?
-
Robin Hood,
The Little Mermaid,
The Lion King,
Beauty and the Beast.
In that order =) My all time favourite is Mary Poppins, but that's only partly animated.
-
101 Dalmatians. I haven't seen it in FOREVER, but I loved it as a kid :)
-
Lady and the Tramp, hands down! I was so excited when they re-released the DVD this year. I love Hercules too, and Brother Bear.
-
Aladdin
(with The Sword in the Stone coming in at a close second)
-
The Great Mouse Detective
I grew up with the books for Bambi 2, Lady and the Tramp 2, and Fox and the Hound 2 but haven't seen the movies for any of them. They aren't new concepts for sequels at all since I had these books in the 80's.
-
I love Lady And The Tramp! It's one that brings back the most memories because I used to watch it at my grandmas all the time. I also ADORE Oliver And Company, mostly because of Billy Joel's voice. ;)
-
I'd have to say it's a 3 way tie between, " The Fox and the Hound ", " Oliver and Company ", and, " Ratatouille ".
The first, because I LOVED the story, loved the beautiful animation, and fangeeked out even harder when I found out that both Don Bluth and Tim Burton worked on, " The Fox and the Hound ".
" Oliver and Company ", was an inspiration to me, as it was one of the first Disney movies to tie traditional 2D hand drawn cel animation with cg animation, nd the hand drawn cels were still done in Disneys beautifully sketchy and earthy feeling style that l LOVE. Oliver was also a HUGE inspiration for my mascot, Wee-Bee.
And, " Ratatouille"?
My dears, I am a foodie. I LOVE learning all about different foods, drinks, how to make them, where they come from. This movie was MADE for foodies. nuff said! XP
-
All time number one for me is Song of the South
After that, there is a 4 way tie for second place:
Mickey and the Beanstalk
The Sword in the Stone
Robin Hood
Rescuers Down Under - Most beautiful animated leading lady ever... Marahute. :)
-
I'll have to go with Aladdin :)
After that it gets really hard to put them in order :P I agree that Brother Bear was really good and seems to unfortunately get overlooked  I also really like The Princess and the Frog, Mulan, Tangled, Up, Beauty and the Beast and The Little Mermaid :P
-
OMG, I love love LOVE Disney! I have so many faves, it's not even funny! xD
Some of my faves that are animated are Bambi, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, Peter Pan, Sleeping Beauty, The Lion King, Tarzan, and Beauty and the Beast.
For films that are part-animation, part-live action... got to love Mary Poppins and Bedknobs and Broomsticks!
Oh, and I also love the Toy Story movies, though I think they're computer-animated.
-

Whelu--which Sarabi plush do you mean? That one that came with the little finger-puppet-type baby Simba plush?
Actually, if you look closely at the lounging "Sarabi" with the "baby Simba" puppet she has green eyes! Not brown. So in spite of the dark ear 'rings' I consider her a Nala xD I have two of those, and three of the baby puppets lol
This is the Sarabi plush I mean, she's not very big, and a newer release- exclusive to Disney resorts and sells for quite a bit (there's a matching Mufasa, but I really want that 32" Mufasa that was released with the blu-ray release not long ago) :
visitors can't see pics , please register or login
The hyenas are my favourite, too :D I have 8 TLK hyena plushies (3 non-TLK hyena plushies), I REALLY want that Douglas Toys Shenzi ;~;
-
I haven't watched many of the sequels...Pocahontas 2 was on TV the other day and it was pretty terrible. Which of the sequels are actually worth watching? I've always wanted to watch The Little Mermaid and Bambi 2 but are they any good?
Obviously, TLK2 is good :) I've seen The Little Mermaid 2 when I was younger and I think it was ok, nothing special though.
Lady and the Tramp 2 wasn't great
I've heard good things about the Return of Jafar (Aladdin 2) but I haven't seen it
-
Lion King and Aristocats for the win! To be honest, I lately developed an... "allergy" to Disney, if you will. A lot of movies that I used to love now make me gag... But the cats still have it! X3
