Title: Blind Bags at CVS!
Post by: ShannonInPonyland on March 14, 2012, 07:02:22 PM
I mentioned something about this in the 'Diamond Rose and Cherry Pie found in Target!' thread and some people were a bit shocked. I didn't know if it was heard of before or not after that so I thought I should make a proper topic to give you all a heads up

Yesterday I was passing through Granby, CT and my mother and myself ended up stopping into a CVS on the way to get a dog collar, so while she was looking for that I checked the (VERY small) toy isle they had for ponies. They had about 15 ponies in stock (including Diamond Rose for those of you looking for her) and I was about to walk off with her when I noticed a MLP blind bag box on the shelf just below them. It was covered with other toys and honestly looked like it had never even been touched before lol So I went through it and got a few ponies that I had been looking for. It was a really unexpected but awesome find  ^.^

The bags were priced $3.99 each, which let me just say is a bit ridiculous since the Toys R' Us I went to when I got my other blind bags were only $1.99.
I'm planning on checking my local CVS soon to see if I have any luck there. It'd be A LOT easier than having to find a way out to Toys R' Us which is almost an hour away from my house.

Just figured I'd give you all a heads up in case your local CVS carries them too because I know many of you are looking for them!

Oh, cool! There are like one million CVSs in every town in Massachusetts, so I'm sure I'll see these close by soon.

We actually just got a CVS. We noticed single brushables there, but they were, as have been reported, really overpriced. I don't think I'd resort to buying stuff there unless desperation for a particular pony set in, as Target and Toys R Us are actually closer to my apartment! :)

Wow I'm surprised! The price is a bit crazy though >.>;; A tiny blind bag pony is only $1 cheaper than a brushable?

My ex works at CVS, the sticker shock is no accident.
Everything is overly priced at CVS because you're paying for "excellent customer service".
A lot of hog wash if you ask me, but at least you got some nice blind bags! :3

Excellent customer service my butt! Last time I got my perscription there it took them an hour to fill it even though I was one of like 5 people who came in with 7 pharmacists working, and I was forced to take the physical perscription there since everyone kept putting me on hold for 20 min and then hanging up on me when I tried to call it in.   :enraged:

While getting said prescription from hell I wandered around, they had a pinkie single for $8.99 but no overpriced blind bags.

Thanks for posting this. ^_^ I doubt I'll be buying any if my CVS gets them in, because of the price, but it's nice to know that there's another store that carries them.

I heard the reason toys are so expensive at CVS is because unlike somewhere like Walmart, who get their toys straight from Hasbro, CVS (and other such pharmacys) gets them through a third party and that the third party also needs to make money so they cost CVS more so CVS needs to charge more.

Yeah, CVS marks the crap up out of everthing, but hey, if you want Blind Bags, there's another source!  Thanks for posting!

Thanks for posting! My Wal-Mart isn't stocking the BBs so I'll check CVS. I also have a neighbor who works there. Maybe I can talk her into letting me know if they get any in. Last time I was in CVS they still had over priced G3.5s! But I did snag a couple G4 coloring books.

$4 is pretty crazy for BBs. But I'd be willing to get a few.

Didn't find any blind bags at my cvs but I did find diamond rose, pinkie pie, and I believe Lulu luck.

The price is what really got me in the first place, when I saw the sticker it was like ' '. I had $10 on me at the time and with it I could only afford 3 BBs, which is ridiculous. I wouldn't have bought them but I can't seem to find BBs anywhere near me, except about an hour away and I can never get out there so I had to buy them for an insane amount of money  >_<
... plus they had one glittery Rainbow Dash, whom I've been wanting very bad so I couldn't pass up on that  ;)
It's definitely more expensive than other places but I figured that it might be a good option for people like me who can't find them anywhere close to where they live  :)

i've seen these too last week, but $4 for them is crazy, since they're $2 everywhere else.
and their brushable singles are $9! and even worse for me, CVS is the only place ive seen diamond rose and cherry pie so far :(
