:cry: So I got to thinking the other day about the "unpopular" ponies...the ponies in sets which always seem to be a little overlooked and a little ignored when compared to their super popular set sisters....for example

I actually love Sunlight and don't care for Parasol--but someone's always the exception! :)

And Blue Belle is indeed my least favorite of this group--she's a bit bland.

I know Sundance doesn't seem that popular but I love her. Sadly though I some how overlooked her when it came to taking photos of my ponies.

No Baby Drummer is a US pony...its just that he was one of only 2 that we got in the UK...he and the other 5 were out in the US first...easy to mistake as he seems to turn up in Euro boxes more than US!!!
@Princess Sparkles thats a good one...Sweet Pop considering she is such cool colours is a little over looked by many of the other TEs in my opinon...

Ok so there's always going to be exceptions :) ... but honestly Ive never been able to sell a Sunlight or a Tootsie, even for a dollar...and Ive been selling on here for 5 years :drunk:

I think Tootsie is less popular... because she wasn't in the TV show. Cherries was. So she doesn't have that bit of a "fan following".... you know?

Again... I think Seashell's lack of "popularity" is because even Bubbles played a small part in Rescue at Midnight Castle. That... and her colorscheme is a LOT more striking. She just "pops"!
Of course... FINDING a NICE... MINT Seashell... is a HECK of a lot harder than Bubbles.... :D

Poor gals... Both were in the TV series (and in a lot of ways, I prefer Galaxy's character...), but poor Galaxy seems to get the sort end of the stick.
Again, I think this is because Fizzy has a much more interesteing colorscheme... Fizzy is rather... "monochromatic"...

I happen to love bonnie bonnets and yes she was on my want list...I have her and love her. I know some think of her as a "grandma" pony but shes so cute!

I also want to say I love sparkler a bunch just because I love purple ponies with blue hair. :)

I was going to mention 2nd set princesses too Taffeta and Pristina being most popular and poor Sunbeam being most unpopular... or Merriweather seems to be the unpopular one out of year 6 TAF's with Nightglider and Munchy being most popular... Was also going to say Magic Message ponies but are any of them popular??? I guess Cloud Dreamer would be my fave...

:lol: My poor gal... is a mishmash at this point. I've swapped a few heads, and bodies... and she still has issues! O.o
She's missing a few plugs in her mane (but at least her head is relatively close to her body color... AND... her tail was inserted waaaaaaay to the right of the "guide indentation"... so her butt is lopsided... :lol:
Bubbles on the other hand... the first one I managed to win on ebay... was so stunningly mint... :lovey: I love her to death!

Ha, finding I love a lot of the "unpopular" ones. Sweet Suds is the only perfume puff I have and the only one that I really, really wanted.
I find I'm still a little new to the collecting world to really observe which ponies are popular or unpopular besides the obvious.

I never had a BBE as a kid, so I've never seen one in person. But I love their freaky eyes! I just PMd someone on another forum that was selling a minty BBE Cuddles so I'll finally get to have one!

I love Banana Surprise, she's so pretty and actually smells pretty good, it's such a shame she's so unloved:(
Happy tails are another set over all I don't think get much love.
Glow n Shows Dazzle Glow seems to steal all of the attention but the rest are rather pretty:)

As a kid I had only one or two ponies from each set. I had 2 boys, I had 1 Rainbow Curl, I had 1 Twinkle Eye and 2 Flutters and 1 merry-go-round....
But I had ALL the Magic Message ponies! XD I dunno if I insisted on it, or if it was dad who wanted me to have a whole set of at least one type, but I loved being able to look at the backcard as a little kid and see that I had all that were shown there. And I loved making the symbols change all the time!! Cloud Dreamer definitely my favorite. Hidden dragon!
Of course, they were played with hard and they're not in great shape now, but I still have them, along with all my childhood ponies. ^_^

Popular merry-go-round: the rest of them!
Why no love for Sunnybunch? Cuz she couldn't stand up on her own, maybe? lol. (She was the one merry-go-round I had, of course.)

As for the second set of Unicorns, Gusty is VERY popular, while Sparkler, or maybe Skyflier are the ones no one talks about. Skyflier probably less than Sparkler if only for the latter being Rarity's prototype.
Likewise, in the first set, no one seems to care about Sunbeam. Probably because she's not white, not popular from the cartoon, and she's in an unpopular pose.
Edit I never knew Banana Surprise was so unloved, she was my first G1! D:

I am still searching for a Cherry Treats; I love her bright red hair and she's in my favorite pose. I'm not so picky on her being a true white but I do want her to still be scented. :)
I don't think Pony Bride or Bridal Beauty are popular though.

The Dance N Prance and ballet ponies seem to be unloved. I had a DNP pony when I was little and she used to scare me :p

Loved: Baby Lucky Leaf and Leafy
Unloved: Baby Fleecy and Woolly
I have two Fleecy's and and two Wooly's and would trade them for Lucky Leaf in a heartbeat ;)

Aww... poor Drummer. WHY SO UNLOVED! He was my absolute favourite pony when I was young...
Maybe his lighter hair makes him stand out less? I'd love to get a second rehaired in bright orange!

Least: Scrumptious. I never see anybody talk about her. Twist is pretty rare too.

I can understand because she's a weird color combination. She's a childhood pony for me.
Merriweather is my fave of the 2nd set!

Aww! How can Lightning be unpopular! x) I love Lightning, he and Sunburst were my first two Mountain Boys.
That said I adore all Big Brothers and Mountain Boys. x)
Personally from what I've seen, I feel like for Perfume Puffs:
Popular: Red Roses (oh gosh I need her, too!)
Unpopular: Daisy Sweet
I feel like this only because it seems so hard to find a Daisy Sweet that doesn't have a color mismatched head/body, which can look fairly unattractive. Or is it just me and having horrible luck with Daisy Sweet? :silly:

Same here I live Scrumptious I'd kill for a near mint one and the same with Paradise. :)
I know Party time is unpopular they kind of ask for it though with the fading pink strip and the regrind. :yikes:
However I do love my Partytime's I like to think of the regrind on my Partytime's is chicken pox :silly:

I love Galaxy and Speedy! Only about 5% of my G1 collection is currently on display in my room because my G4s have taken over and they both made the cut.
I've made Galaxy into a G4 several times now...Why haven't I made a Speedy yet!?? Must do!
Party Time is also on my G4 custom list because her colors are cool, but I hate her G1 pose so much.
