Sure. Here you go. Although I say her eyes do look very close to those of greek Cotton Candy... Can someone with a Ldaybird and Cotton Candy see if their body color match?

I does look strange but I guess it's not impossible it could be genuine anyway.
I remember sitting ponies with cp heads were found before and turned out to be genuine. They were italian though. (Seashell)

Looks like someone lost the real head to their Ladybug! :)   See how the pen marks stop when you get to the head too? Looks like it's a replacement head for sure!

Yup...spot on!

Plus the colour difference is a little too obvious! [If she was a G4 the head/body mismatch would be normal of course!]

I thought something looked odd about her eyes, they seem to be pointing upwards... Very well spotted!
She does indeed look like she has cotton candy's head...

How rude to put on another head and not mention it in the sale  Someone tries to make some extra bucks this way. Makes me mad, these kind of adds.

its possible that the seller might not know its a different head, remember not everyone is a pony expert like the people here. it could have even been the little girl who played with the pony years ago that switched the head. although im not saying that its impossible that the seller has done that, of course its possible, but it is possible that they dont know the head is not original.

WHY didn't I see this before?! OMG I can't believe it! I never even noticed but it's so obvious now it's been pointed out to me....

I've emailed the seller and asked for a refund.... please wish me luck!

Don't call yourself stupid, Sarah!! It's a mistake any of us could have made if we had not investigated this further! She sure fooled me when I saw the eBay listing and this thread hadn't gone up yet.
I do hope you get a refund, but don't beat yourself up over it. :(
I would have totally bought her if she were priced lower, even with that head.  :silly:

Thanks guys. I feel a lot better now I'm over the shock of seeing the pony I just bought it a thread like this lol! The seller has already shipped but is very understanding and said if I'm not happy when she arrives that we will work it out. He also says he wasn't aware of the issue, she was this way when he found her with some other ponies and I do believe him, he seems nice and willing to sort it out but obviously as he shipped before he got my messages I'll have to return her for the refund. Looking ok so far though. Thank you for the kind words xxx

Sarah-Bee, i'd just like to make a suggestion.

maybe you could get a head from a baity bubbles or seashell and paint it to match the body and rehair in the correct shade? its still not gonna be original but at least it will match the body's pose better than the CP head

just a suggestion.

Perhaps you can explain how much the value is decreased due to this problem and you can get her for a steal!  I would  deffo give that a try!!!!!  The seller might be happy to get anything for her, since she certainly isn't worth the full price of a complete one!  Good Luck!

I'm sorry to hear what happened Sarah   at least your seller is willing to work things out and seems genuine. Maybe you could ask for a partial if it doesnt look too bad IRL :)
I can tell that its a CP head not the original, but thats because I have greek Ladybird and Greek Cotton Candy to compare, but really if I hadnt then it isnt that easy to notice

You certainly shouldnt feel bad Sarah - it was a tough thing to spot and when you are over excited about an auction overlooking something is easy - I know I have done something similar in the past...

It sounds like the seller is willing to work with you so hopefully everything should work out eventually...

Pony hugs sweetie....I really hope it all works out!

I'm so relieved he's willing to work things out with me and I will take a look at her and then decide what to do :)

Thank you again

Love, Sarah xxxxx

Honestly, i would of never noticed the head difference, i do see a "Slight" difference but it isn't terrible, but i too would be pissed spending that money and thinking im getting the real deal lady bird. Its great that the seller is working something out with you! Im happy to hear things are going to work out! when you get the pony, post some pictures for us to see, the pictures he provided are not close enough to see a major difference IMO
