Title: Lauren Faust interview, a bit about MLP

The MLP part:
"We were lucky enough to talk one-on-one with Faust, and she explained how these shorts will fulfill some of her original ambitions for My Little Pony.
[...]
When Faust was creating My Little Pony, she originally wanted it to have more of an adventure-based tone — and she's excited to be able to feature more of that tone here. "You get to have fighting in a superhero show," she notes. "There's absolutely no fighting in My Little Pony." She wasn't really upset or disappointed that the action-adventure aspects were downplayed in MLP — it's more like, the project evolved as she collaborated on it — she's glad to be doing more of that here. SBFF will feature "a little more adventure, a little more action, higher stakes [and] higher emotions... but still the same humor and the same heart."

:( I had a feeling thats why she left FiM for her creative differences. Which is a shame because the episodes she created are among the best! I wish they would still do adventures!

I love lauren faust. I particularly loved the end bit of her "thesis statement" for her work with cartoons: creating entertainment aimed to girls that is actually good!

I don't really see a big difference between season 1 and season 2. I think some people just like to jump to the conclusion that "OH NO! Lauren Faust isn't working on MLP:FIM anymore so now it sucks." as if she was doing it entirely on her own and nobody else contributed to it.

I'm glad for her!  I hope there are more cool series for girls that are not over the top cutesy.  I mean, Rainbow Brite had adventures, and don't forget Gadget in Chip n' Dale Rescue Rangers.  She was a cool geek girl.  We need that kind of stuff for girls.

Same here! I didn't even know she stopped until I got a good way into season 2 and read it somewhere, lol.

What makes me happiest is that this short is going to have Donna Troy in it. Whoo~

I'm happy to hear some of Lauren's plans for MLP will be going into this new project of hers :3 I'm curious to see what it will be like.

I see enormous differences between the two, but I guess it's one of those varying opinion things.

I personally think its awesome that there is going to be *more* good content aimed at the girl market! :) but it is sad that she had creative differences...

I liked reading that interview. Lauren Faust is my idol because of her wish to make girl's entertainment better and create more interesting female characters that are interesting to many different viewers. :)
I've yet to watch season 2 of FiM but I hope it'll be as good as the 1st one. The characters are the same ones Faust created anyway. ^_^

Thank you so much, Lauren Faust. I lived for the Gotham Girls shorts. I hope these are even better and regularly feature Harley Quinn, Zatanna and Poison Ivy. I hope Super Best Friends Forever gets its own never-ending cartoon series!

Waaa! Just endured the hour of DC Nation and they didn't show Super Best Friends Forever! Young Justice seems to have gotten better though. They showed previews for 2 new shorts during the credits and SBFF wasn't one of them. I'm not sure if the previewed shorts are what is airing next week. I did not enjoy the shorts today, not very creative or funny in my opinion. Does anyone know if there is a DC forum that I could post my support of SBFF? I really want it to become a regular length cartoon series. Lauren is sooo super talented!
