Title: MH rerooting?
Post by: Mad-March on February 18, 2012, 02:52:21 PM
Apologies if this is some sort of commonly known thing or anything, but I was just wondering about how much hair is good for rerooting monster high dolls? I'll be ordering from dollyhair probably, so is the same amount for a barbie enough? Or should I get two hanks? I'd appreciate if anyone could help me out real quick, thanks!

I'd get two, I just did one and I used up nearly that much.

Just kinda leaching off this thread.

Do you use a rerooting tool for rerooting mh?
or do more people use the needle method?

I use a homemade tool, kinda frankensteined it but very appropriate, lol.

Just a wooden dowel with an embroidery needle at one end, clipped so it holds hair.  They cost less than a dollar to make if you divvy it all up.

I use either the knot method, or a home made reroot tool... Currently I use the knot method, since all my needles are broken.

Aaaand about the amount, it depends on how heavy you root. I like my hair to lay a little thinner, and one hank of Barbie hair is enough for me to reroot an MH girl. But some people find that even two isn't enough for them.

So it's a preference thing.
