After a few years in the pony wilderness I have decided to return to ponies.
I sold all my collection from 2004-2009 because it seemed like the right thing to do at the time. I am hoping to rebuild a smaller collection of favourite ponies. I just collect G1 Ponies and then Care Bears and Sylvanian Families :)
Is it just me or have pony prices for G1's risen significantly since I collected last. Many of the ones I sold I now see being bidded up really high so I stand no chance of owning them again. Oh well. I'll have to get my bargain hunting hat on this time round.

yea the new show has brought tons of new and old collectors out into the light and they are bidding the prices up, welcome to the arena!

Welcome back to collecting! The G1 prices vary a lot. Some of the more htf ponies - like the Alt Birthflowers for example have dropped in value, while others have gone up. I hope you enjoy being back :D

Welcome back!! I actually think some of those that used to be at the lower end but a few of the higher end ones have dropped in price...! Typical...good luck searching out the ones you are looking for!

Welcome back! Which G1s are you hoping to recollect?
Admittedly the two I want most and know I can't afford are Fireball and Ice Crystal :( I'm mainly looking to reacquire childhood favourites - which were long gone way before I collected as an adult. This time around I'm going to have to limit my collecting, certainly for now to max of £10 per pony. I've browsed the trade section but it's difficult to tell who is in the UK like me and who is overseas as it would make more sense and probably be cheaper to buy off UK sellers. I've also started up a Care Bear collection again too. But with both collections I am going to collect much smaller and I am only interested in vintage ones anyway - both ponies and bears :) Sylvanians I collect all ranges and years so I'd say that's definitely my main collection but I miss the ponies and bears too much :)
I just can't quite believe some of the prices to be honest, especially on Ebay. Going to be slow collecting process but hopefully an enjoyable one because I'll enjoy each and every pony I get :)
