So, I finally got around to putting lights in my MIB cabinet!
I customized a LP player cabinet like 2-3 years ago, and have kept MIbs in it, but I've had no lighting for it.
I bought some LEDs before Christmas, but didn't get a round tuit until now.

so, first of all - will LED lights bleach my things, you think?I mean, it's a kind of bright light, but at least it doesn't get warm.
I won't keep the lights on at all times. just when needed. like, when having people over. ^^'

The LED lights add something to the showcase! And wow, so many boxed ponies~ LEDs aren't harmful at all are they? Because otherwise, they look really nice against the black cabinets. :accomplished:

I am so jelous of your moc Dancing Butterflies. I don't own any mib or moc G1s cause i just can't bring myself to spend that much money on a single pony and I have never been lucky enough to stumble across a good enough deal. But if I ever give in and buy one it would probably be Dancing Butterflies (or maybe Medley since she was my first pony ever.)

Looks fantastic! And your MOC Dancing Butterflies is totally gorgeous, I'm not surprised you want to show off you MIBs, its a lovely collection :)
Also, a Round Tuit = LOL! My Dad's had one on his mantelpiece for years now and it never fails to make me smile.

Well... you shouldn't look straight into LEDs. humm... but you shouldn't look straight into any light source, so I guess it's just for precautionary reasons anyway.
I hope they won't harm my items, but well.. I don't plan on having it on all the time anyway.

I did some research and the long term effects of led light on cardboard and plastic is unknown, so be careful , it looks cool anyway

but just to warn you of the fire risk! LED lights can get very hot and the light could reflect on the glass or plastic and cause a fire (it really happens I work in insurance!)

really? Because LED isn't supposed to get hot at all O-o any other kinds of diodes, yes, but LED isn't supposed to.

good thing it's going to be shut off most of the time xD
ETA - had a quick read on LED, and it doesn't produce IR heat. I'm now with ya 100% ;) so thanks for teh heads-up!
