Title: what do you guys do with your pony packaging c:?

I've saved a bunch thinking I could reuse them, but not I have too many! So now I'm trying to figure out what to do with all of them XD

Post by: 01mlplover on February 06, 2012, 06:06:02 PM: With G3's i always kept their boxes until i ran out of room to keep them. So one day i took them all out and cut out the backcards and threw the rest away. I have so much more room now.

Post by: DazzleKitty on February 06, 2012, 06:36:30 PM: I just toss mine. Sadly, I don't have the room to keep everything. On the single ponies, I will sometimes keep the little art picture of the pony on the front of the package. I make sure I tear it off carefully.

G2- see above
G3- see above
G3.5- Open it. Throw package away
G4- Open it. Keep backcard/backdrop and the paper in the front with their name and vector.

Post by: Ringlets on February 06, 2012, 06:59:18 PM: If its G1 or G2 I keep it all (not that I debox or decard these anymore , but I still have some packaging from when i had G1s as a kid) , but with G3 , G3.5 or G4 I just save the backcard and the paper from the front , and then I recycle the plastic where possible :)

I tried to, for a while, and it took up so much room...and I never did anything with the pieces I was keeping. It was a waste for me, particularly given my limited space. I like the idea of using the background as a photo backdrop, but that never really worked out when I tried it myself.

Post by: oddish on February 07, 2012, 04:32:39 AM: I've only gotten a few G4s so far, but with the singles I kept the front piece with the pony's picture and a couple of the little cardboard chip logos. I didn't really think the backcards were special enough to keep at first glance, but might change my mind. With the CMC and Cheerliee box I just tossed everything.

For my G3s I kept all the backcards and playset boxes though.

Post by: hlbmlp on February 07, 2012, 07:01:32 AM: most of my g3s are stored in their boxes without the footbinder thing, just because it keeps them nice. The ones i have out i put the boxes in my castle box, since i cant get the castle back in! It helps keep the shape since it doesnt want to fold in on it'self like most boxes( cured hasbro!!!)
I only have 2 G4 so far and i think i'll just toss the boxes in with the others in the castle box, but i dunno... might toss it.
I do like the boxes for storage though! It made it nice for my parents to pack when they decided to move while i was in japan!

Post by: Mandy85 on February 07, 2012, 08:42:44 AM: If the ponies come with a nice backdrop, like the Fashion Styles do, then I'll usually keep it around for display or photos, however I usually just throw all the packaging out. I barely have enough storage as it is for important things, I wouldn't have the space to keep everything.
