Ok guys so hopefully some of you here collect LLL. I have a Enchanted Island Maiden GoldenWaves doll. She does have her dress but she doesn't have her pixietales. But she shows signs of plastic damage. She has those lightly colored spots that suggest she will lose her malleability some day. How much does this negatively effect her value? I was going to sell her but I don't know if people would want her in this condition and I don't want someone to get her and not realize what the problem is. So also what is the best way to describe this type of plastic damage?

I have no helpful answers, as I only recently acquired a few LLL dolls. However, this seems to be a common problem for them. I don't think it will affect her value hugely, since it's so common. I have the same doll and also Maiden Misty Curls, who both have the "LLL cancer". :/

Thank you for your input. I'm glad to hear she may still be able to find a home. I wonder what type of plastic degration this is.

From what I've read it's regrind, and a common problem with this version of LLL. :(

Ive not seen this before, if its hidden by the dress maybe woint affect te value too much?

Wow, that is pretty heavy regrind...

Her face looks good, no signs of problems, her arms and body aren't bad but the legs are quite splotchy. Ok so if I sell her I will post or list her has having significant areas of regrind. And then people will understand what condition she is in? I plan to show pictures too.

Might be worth metioning what Regrind is if you sell her outside of a community that focuses on toys with this issue. I can see the word regrind with no explaination freaking some buyers out who aren't sure what it means.
But I could be wrong!
