I thought by now we would have seen something in stores or heard news of a release. I know it's only February 4th but V-Day is only ten days away.

I sure hope so. Those Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy variants stopped being sold before I got into MLP, so I wasn't able to get them.

It may be an indication on how unsuccessful previous releases were - I would think "holiday" ponies look less and less likely - they rushed out V Day Pinkie and then Easter Fluttershy but we saw nothing for Halloween or, most significantly, Christmas.
I would guess from the amount of x-stock which seems to show up of Easter Fluttershy [our large TK Maxx chain in the UK has loads of these] that these releases were not popular sellers and in turn this would probably make HB reluctant to try holiday releases again [at least for a while]

Yeah, they did do so well. (Mainly because they were pretty bland "special editions") So I'm thinking no special holiday ponies, unfortunately. :(

I agree. I don't know why they didn't make them a bit more special - if they'd done a TAF style Pinkie or Fluttershy like the G3 Winter Minty for example I'm sure everyone would have gone crazy over it, a couple extra symbols on the leg of a pony they already own isn't enough to make most people spend money buying it again.

lol We still have Spring Fluttershy here in at least one of our stores from last year because the store put her out so lat in the year xD

i bought the last fluttershy we had at walmart here in november. there were 2 but someone got the other one sometime during the day, so here they have a little popularity. i want the valentines day pinkie pie, but i've only seen them online. i wish they'd make a better holiday pony though. or even release one that isn't one they've had out for a while. like minty for christmas, we don't have a g4 of her in stores.
could cherry pie and diamond rose be our valentines day ponies?

It's too bad they are not releasing V-Day ponies, but maybe they will go back to special holiday releases again in the future :)

The Valentines Pinkie actually sold out at Target where I am other than a couple that I found that had fallen behind a display box. However I never saw the Spring Fluttershy until well after Easter and I think people decided the Fluttershy with the pet and wagon was more worth the price than one with just a basket and a fancy design.
Oh well there are always customs.

I'm not suprised the holiday G4 ponies didn't sell well b/c they were sold at like every store. When G3s were out, most years the holiday ones were Target Exclusives.

Yeah....I think they would need a liiiiiiiiiiiiiittle more time than ten days to release a valentine's day pony *before* Valentine's day. So my vote is leaning towards nooooooooooo.....Sorry.............

I for one was hoping that they would release the G4 Minty we keep seeing for the winter holiday season, but nope. :{ Since it's so late already, I am guessing no V-Day pony, unless some stores restock V-Day Pinkie. Here's hoping they release a special springtime pony who isn't Easter Fluttershy!

I third this. The new g3 characters that they released for winter/Easter/Halloween were always so pretty; I wish they'd do the same for the g4s.
Well I still have my fingers crossed for new g4s for Easter. :)

i dont know about anyone else but i bought plumsweet and she just seems like a v day pony to me ;) shes so pretty. so i guess in my head im just linking her to valentines day lol

They would have been in stores ages ago likely....so I'd say not. :( I wish they had. I love Valentines Day stuff so I would have loved a pony for that holiday.

it would have been nice but I really can't see it happening. I think Pinkie and Fluttershy were last years 'testers' and they failed miserably, they just didn't get to where they were supposed to be in time. We don't even have Valentines cards here in the UK. We just don't seem to get the little bits of merch that the rest of the world gets :(

NOBODY has them around here! Everywhere, Sponge Bob, Transformers, Hello Kitty, etcetc in huge bins of character Val. Cards but no MLP. *scowl*

I noticed there just weren't that many special Valentine's themed toys in general at Target. It seemed this year the section for little trinkets leaned heavily towards candy and things like stickers. There were no special LPS or Polly Pocket or Lalaloopsy either. A lot of the actual toys they had over there were just things from the regular toy section that they can keep at regular price after Valentines Day.

It's weird because when the holiday G3's came out they always sold out reallllly fast! I remember having to stalk Target for the Easters every year!

I agree. I think that since Valentines Pinkie Pie and Easter Fluttershy didn't seem to sell good they might have backed off the idea. I think they would have sold a whole lot better if they would have made new ponies for the holidays. Like they did for most of the G3 line. I bought all those holiday ponies but I have to admit, I did not buy last years G4 Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy versions. I didn't think they were different enough. Seemed like more duplicates to me.
I thought they were going to turn blind bag Lovestruck into a regular size pony for this year's Valentines pony. After all she does have a cutie mark just like Always and Forever. And then maybe turn one of the other blind bag ponies into the Easter pony. But you'd think they would be out by now or we would have at least heard of them. Maybe next year. :sigh:
