I kinda guessed from the packaging that she wasn't gonna be cheap :yikes: Why can't they make a more affordable version for us and the kids :huh: I want a short-haired Rapunzel so bad :frolic:

Wow, finally a brunette Rapunzel! :) She's stunning!
I love the princess dolls from that collection, the quality on them is superb. They're one of those dolls that if you don't buy them when you see them however, then you'll likely never own it at retail. The prices on these girls skyrocket once they're sold out and they go quick. The stores are lucky if they get them in stock at all, and if they do, it's in very short supply.

I'm still trying to get my hands on the original disney store version. The one where her dress actually had sleeves and she came with her pet. But the disney store only offers an updated version :(

and she should be available in the Uk ;) I bought the blonde Rapunzel one of this series (limited edition of 5000) and the Mother Gothel one (limited edition one of 1500) from the Disney Store UK, so I'm sure this one will be available here too (both online and in selected stores ) .... but keep a look out for the release date cos they sell fast :yikes: . Here in the UK they normally retail at £60. They are amazing quality though and they are 17 inches tall (the actual doll) so they are well worth it :heart: I'll be getting this one for my collection for sure :lovey:

I don't know if it's the same for the UK, but there's a US preorder date for the bride version set for February 21st. If I hear any different for UK folks, I'll be sure to post. :) If you can get in on it, I would strongly recommend going about getting her that way.
I tried purchasing the above two dolls in person on the day of their release and the employee I spoke with at my local DS just shook her head and kind of chuckled like it would have been insane if they still had them in stock, lol. I later that day saw them both go up for sale on their homepage, however they were gone within fifteen minutes and I unfortunately missed them. Now they sell for 2-3 times their initial retail price. >_< People really jump on these things!
If anyone gets her and is looking for a to-scale Pascal, I've heard that the Bullyland PVC figures are a perfect match:

Yes, I was searching disney dolls on ebay the other day and saw her too! :shocked: I was amazed at how gorgeous she was too. I love her dress! I have a small collection of disney dolls from the movies in my daughter's room. And I have some of my favorite limited editions in my room. And I have just got to get this Rapunzel doll!

Do you know if the presale will be online as well or just at the Disney stores? I have a Outlet Disney store in driving distance but I red that they weren't sending any of the limited eddition Designer dolls to the outlet stores so I figured they wouldn't be sending her to the outlet stores either. :(

I think it will depend on the individual store, so it may be worth giving them a call to check. I know that some of the physical stores did get the Designer dolls in because I remember reading about fans waiting in line for them on a first come, first serve basis, while others only got them in limited supply for preorders only or not at all. I'm also unsure if the preorders will be taken online at this time. The Designer collection ended up being such a nightmare for preorders (they oversold some of the characters, so you can imagine the uproar that caused) that they may be going about things differently this time around.
I really wish we still had a Disney Store locally. :( For the longest time there was one at my local mall about 15 minutes up the highway, but they closed it unexpectedly a few months ago. Now there's only two left in the state, with the closest one about an hour away.

I wonder how many everyone will be able to buy? If its just one that will give us a better chance of getting one before they run out. If everyone is allowed to buy up to 2 they might run out. Lots of people buy these dolls just to make profit on ebay. So they buy 2 or as many as they can only to turn around and sell them for twice what they are worth or more on ebay. Taking advantage and ripping off the collectors that wanted them in the first place. I hate that people do that! :mad:

I called the Disney store near me and they told me there are alot of people interested in them. And that if I wanted to get one I should maybe get there at midnight the night before to wait in line!!! :shocked: I live an hour and a half away from it too and I have kids so Im definately not doing that! Even if I lived close I don't think I would want to camp out on a cold night to get one. I'm afraid to see the price I might have to pay on ebay to get one though. :(

The first Rapunzel they released did have long sleeves and the flowers in her dress. The newest ones have a lot less detail :(

The Disney store Rapunzels all have short sleeves ATM, but one of Mattels latest Rapunzel dolls has long sleeves and a more detailed dress too - she is the one with hair that changes color when you hold a blue light (included) near it. I have her but I deboxed her so I forgot what she is called :blush:

I went to Downtown Disney the other day and saw the original Rapunzel and thethere was a wedding one also. It had the EXACT same dress, EXACT same packaging, EXACT same everything EXCEPT she had long blonde hair? There were several of them, and I may go back to pick them up.

The new dolls are online now. The blonde wedding Rapunzel has a lot of less details in her and is 12" tall. Brunnett Rapunzel is 17" tall limited to 8000. I just received my confirmation email from the Disneystore! I'm so excited! She's my first Collectors Doll <3 (I might have to get the blonde one also, just because I love Rapunzel :D

I really want this doll. Problem is that shipping from the Us would prolly be crazy monies cos this is a big and heavy parcel :sad:

I know scalpers are already putting their preordered dolls up at twice the price!!! So unfair!!! But at least u get a fair idea of what shipping will be to the UK on these dolls!!
