These things drive me nuts:
Ember's Dream Cassette
G2 Computer Game
4 front doors for the Show Stable
Seriously, where could they go? They HAVE to be floating around my mom's house somewhere!!!
What has mysteriously disappeared from your collection over the years?
p.s. If anyone has the show stable doors for sale or trade, PM me!!! :)

Not that much, actually. Even as a child, I saw my ponies as a collection, and not just toys. I got my first, Peachy w/ Pretty Parlor, when I was 6. I lost most of the name tags because I didn't know what they were for; guess I didn't notice the tag holders on the front of the platform, but, hey, I was only 6. My mom threw out my earliest backcards and boxes, grrrrrrrr, and years later she made me throw out a bunch more (she let me keep one from each group, but she just saw the rest as clutter, so I had to trash 3 out of my 4 SS cards). I lost my earliest stickers too, I guess, and my McDonald's Blossom charm, and I guess I gave away my Stick n Lift set because I didn't really see it as part of my pony collection at the time because it was merchandise. That's about it, though.
You know what I really regret giving away? My Voltron and Castle of Lions! My mom's fault again; she said I was being selfish to keep old toys, and I should give them to charity.
-
Hmmmmm lots of things LOL but pony related? Only my childhood collection *sadness*
-
I have lost a few G1 MLP things from my original childhood collection:
Toothpaste - yes I lost the toothpaste but not the toothbrush!
Combs & Brushes - I think the ones I'm missing are packed away with my Barbie stuff
Baby Blue Ribbon's Blue Ribbon - I have lost and found that thing so many times when I was little but it is found as of now!
-
Tic Tac Toe. I know she's here somewhere!
Apart from that, gazzilions of tiny accessories!
-
As a collector...."money" lol!!!
In seriousness - too many flower brushes too count....I think there is a little pixie stealing them for her salon or something....cause there are too many to be accidental now!
-
My G1 twin bed sheet. Makes me so sad too.
-
Sand Digger went walkies somewhere. I still have her tail, but not the rest of her :( I'm fairly sure I gave her to my parents to fix when the tail fell out and when they couldn't figure out how to get the head off she was lost. My Dad swears that he'd never have thrown her away without asking me (he's a hoarder, so I know that's true!) but I don't trust my Mum!
Other than that, assorted small accessories and a fair few bits of Activity Club stuff has vanished over the years but I've been amazed at how much I've dug up from my parents place.
Especially as I couldn't find my door keys this morning and eventually turned them up still in my front door where they'd been all night. I was clearly much better at keeping track of things when I was little than I am now!
-
I didn't really *lose* it, but my dog deboxed my MIP Seascape this year, which really upset me...
Better than it happening in ten years though, when MIP g3s may have some value. I was able to replace her pretty easily but still!
-
Not that much...even as a kid, I was pretty good about keeping all the parts. I did lose Megan's headband from the Flower Darlings outfit, which always really upset me, and I'm pretty sure I got rid of a hat that at the time I didn't realize was MLP. When I was about 4, I also lost a pony shoe from one of the early pony wear sets, but I replaced that this past year. And there are a few other things that until recently I didn't realize were MLP, like a tennis racket, that might be mixed in with some hand-me-down Barbie clothes that I hope are still in the attic.
-
A few plastic ribbons that go on the petite carousel. I was always cautious as a kid and generally kept sets together, but I have no idea where a few of those ribbons went!
And more recently, a blind bag I purchased at the fair last year. I got Flower Wishes and sadly, when I got home she was was nowhere to be found. Luckily I got a replacement, but I wish I knew what happened to the first one!
-
My childhood Dangles, possibly lost during The Move.
(On a "childhood toy in general" front, there was a bag that probably got thrown out. I have a notepad file of AWOL toys that were probably in there)
-
My original G2 game. To be fair it probably has been thrown out at some point, my original copy stopped working at one point but I was lucky enough to find a replacment a while ago.
(Also I think some point last year I managed to loose one of my childhood Beanie Babies, Howl the wolf. Scary thing is I nearly donated him to a charity shop the year before. D: )
-
I guess it would be my bootleg videocassette with Rescue From Midnight Castle and Escape from Catrina on it, among other things. My mom borrowed the tape from a friend and duplicated it for me and my sis many years ago. I haven't seen it in a long time.
-
I lost everything when we moved about eight years ago
But, as a child, I remember having to go to a church for a christening of a family friend's baby. I brought some ponies with me and then left them there- I was not happy later that day.
-
somehow in just the last couple of years, I've lost a custom DG newborn baby Blue Belle...I thought I'd for sure find it when I moved about a year ago, but no luck...and since the house was stripped, I guess it must have got inside the couch or something, lol!
As a kid, 99% of the accessories, and both baby Crumpet and newborn twin Dibbles, oh, and a Sparkle baby Starflower, but she showed up about 4 years ago in the sandbox, lol...
-
When I was still really little, I lost my Baby Celebrations. =p
-
Dude, it's so baffling.
Some ponies MUST have been stolen from me somehow. I cherished all my ponies...They must have glitched out and gotten lost in the matrix.
Moondancer
Bowtie
Baby Quakers
Skippidy-doo
So Soft Heartthrob
Seashell (the sitting down pony)
Headless Medley
my duplicate Milky Way
Where in the world did they go?! O.o;
-
I lost an Up Up and Away! She vanished somewhere between 2004 and 2009 and it has always baffled me how...
I would never have sold her so it is a mystery, I eventually lost hope and replaced her!
And I agree with Hathorcat, other than Up Up and Away it just cash I've lost! : )
-
Coco Berry, Pina Colada and Baby Waddles all disappeared. So did Molly and all my petite ponies. And a ton of accessories, but the missing accessory I care about of those is Beachcomber's float.
-
My virginity? Lol juuust kidding.
I remember I was in an absolute panic one time because I thought I lost baby minty. I just misplaced her though.
-
the only pony i ever lost was my Spring Fever. i have a new one now, though :)

oh my god XD

My whole childhood collection really... well I left them at my parent's place when I moved out and they seem to have given them away. I wasn't into ponies at the time and hadn't mentioned them in years so I can't really blame them. I am only really into G4 anyway but it would have been nice to have my childhood ponies.
What I am sad about is my Catnip the cat from the Brush Me Beautiful Boutique I had. Her I did keep and had with me until I moved this last summer. She somehow disappeared during the move. I thought I had stuck her with my box of Kitty in my Pockets but I'm missing some of them too along with some McDonalds G3s I had. I searched through everything for like a month until I finally gave up. I'm not really sure what happened but I think they accidentally got given to goodwill.
I did recently buy a replacement Catnip but I'm still mad at myself for losing my original one.
-
Mah sanity!
On a serious note, a ton of accesories.
-
When I was 5 (wasn't that long ago!) I took my Fireball (I'd named him "Firebum" - you work it out) with me to Australia. One afternoon I left him in a daycare and by the time I realised he was missing he had disappeared. :(
More recently I've lost a G3 Crystal Lace (I'm certain she fell in the bin accidentally). Poor girl! She does have a bit of a creepy pose but that's not a nice way to go!
-
Baby Up Up Away :( I know I didn't throw her away, I'm convinced she's in the deeps corners of my house somewhere!
-
My plush patterns! I had the patterns for Moondancer and Blossom. I got both at different times so they should be stored in different places, but I can't find either! There are only so many places I would have put something like that-- where on earth could they have gone?? I have some nice fuzzy yellow fabric to make myself a Posey and everything, just no pattern ;_;
-
G2 Friendship Gardens game. NO idea where it is but I still want to play it..
Might actually rebuy it tbh.
-
My childhood ponies
-
I have Baby Sniffles & Baby Bootsie, but my Baby Snookums and Baby Tootsie have disappeared. I prolly gave them to a cousin :( I remember playing with their dish and spoons when I was little.
-
I had a bunch of ponies that I have NO clue what happened to them. I KNOW I didn't throw them out, give them away, or anything. But they're literally nowhere to be found. I want my styling-size Starcatcher back!
-
My childhood ponies are lost on my aunt's attic...
And i think i lost a lot of brushes, ribbons and puffy stickers over the years. I know i always kept the backcards but they are also mia...
Hope to find my ponies soon, i talked about with my mom and she want to help to dig them out of my aunt's attic!
-
My childhood collection I gave away when I was around 13 or 14. :cloud:
-
My childhood G2 Sky Skimmer and her accessories. :(
-
Accessories... All Baby Drummers accessories ;_; Those are the ones I really regret losing ;_;
And... I think there are all?
-
Echoing "my sanity"! *LOL* XD
I mentioned this in another thread last week, but it's more topical for here: all my G1 pony stuff that wasn't ponies. Accessories, packaging, board games, inserts advertising mail orders, books....I miss the books more than anything.
I didn't lose any of this stuff, though...I kept *everything*. I didn't realize till I was a teenager, but my mother would sneak into my room when I was out and discard everything she thought I was too old for. The whole family used my bedroom as a storage room, so it was easy for me to fail at noticing some of my own stuff was gone. My mother either didn't realize or didn't agree with my wanting to keep everything AND keep it in perfect shape. Not because I was planning to have a valuable collection someday, but because I was a bit of a hoarder who hated it when my things got dirty or damaged. (After getting yelled at by multiple people for my ponies being pristine--the implication being that I was ungratefully not playing with my toys if they weren't dirty--I played the heck out of them and never cleaned them after play anymore. No more pristine ponies in my collection.) :(
Now that my mother realizes how much some of this stuff would've been worth, she instead gives me disapproving looks for taking my new ponies OUT of the packaging! "But what if it gets dirty? What if you decide to sell it later?" Glad you came full circle, mom...but couldn't you have done that twenty-five years ago?? =^^;=
-
My original "Firefly's Adventure" VHS. Loaned it to my neighbor in college. *wry grin*
It doesn't really matter now that I have every G1 cartoon on DVD, but it ticks me off because it was an original item from my childhood collection. :C
I also lost my favorite pony (prior to Fizzy) when we moved to our house in 1986. I never found Powder, and at that point, she was long out of stores. I replaced her in 2004 with a gorgeous near-mint gal. I was so happy, you have no idea. XD
I also traded Sherbet for Cranberry Muffins with one of my childhood BFFs. Oh, it was a smart move, in terms of value. She asked for the trade, and since I had Sweet Scoops (who is pretty identical to Sherbet in color), I agreed. My mom also encouraged the trade because Sherbet's scent "triggered her migraines" LOL!
I guess Sherbet isn't really a "lost" pony, since I gave her up willingly, but I loved Sherbet and I miss her. Still... Cranberry Muffins? WOULD TAKE OVER SHERBET ANYDAY. *drool*
-
Baby Drummer! I had taken him and several other baby ponies to my mom's work one summer day when I was about 6 or 7, so I could play in the waiting room while she was working (She works at a car dealership). I accidentally left him behind in a toy barn, so we went back to get him, and he was GONE!! And by then G1 Ponies were no longer even sold in stores, so I was devastated.
Just a few years ago I got him replaced thankfully though!
Other than that, some Newborn Twins tiny accessories, brushes...always the brushes, most of the Dream Castle accessories (it was missing 99% of the accessories when I got it at a Garage Sale), and Ribbons. I almost got a gallon-sized baggie full of G1 Ribbons at an insane MLP Garage Sale up the road, but I didn't have an extra $5 left after everything I bought there! XD I had hoped maybe after the garage sale was done, the ribbons would be left over..maybe nobody would know what it was..but everything besides the Show Stable which I had asked to be put on hold for me, was gone. Apparently there is another collector in town!
-
Hmm. . .
As of the moment, I'm still missing my childhood Raincurl and Wind Whistler. Wind Whistler is long gone; I lost her at the mall when I was four (and I have no clue what I would have done with her sticker/brush/ribbon when I was that age) but Raincurl should still be here. I am also concerened that I'm missing a stack toy (it was moved when it wasn't supposed to be.)
On the bright side, we just emptied out my parents' house for the contractors that are coming in tomorrow and it was a bit like a treasure hunt. I didn't find any ponies but I did find two MOC Worlds of Wonder toys (Teddy Ruxpin figures,) my CPK's original dress and adoption papers and a vintage Strawberry Shortcake girl's dress and sock (must have been my sister's) among other things Plus at least 3 pairs of vintage leg warmers. :D
-
I was so careful with my childhood ponies but somewhere along the line I lost AppleJack's comb. I missed it so much for so many years so I was happy when I discovered ponies for sale online and finally managed to replace it.
-
I had Party Time in my G1 collection a few years ago.. and since I moved houses I cannot find her anywhere :( No idea where she went as all the other girls made it here safe and sound :(
-
Two of my Sqirmys when I moved out of my ex-boyfriend's apartment
-
Pony barrettes! I used to wear them in my hair when I was a kid and I had no idea they were MLP! We got rid of all of them (and some pony combs too I think) and now I wish we hadn't.
-
At one point I was missing a whole bunch of stuff (mostly accessories and a few ponies), but they eventually turned up in my sister's room, lol.
However, that box included the princess comb I had thought looooooooong gone. What wasn't in there, however, was the princess hat and wand. They have been missing since I started recollecting. I thought they were in the Barbie box in the loft, but no. I still swear there must be another Barbie box up there (admittedly it's more Sindy than Barbie!) that has them in, but no sign yet!
I did go into a big panic when I lost variant Baby Billie in the middle of Birmingham! That was not a good moment! Luckily a very kind person returned her :)
-
I don't think I've ever lost any pony stuff, but I had a MIB Galadriel doll totally disappear. I mean, we even moved since then and never found her.
-
I lost my childhood pony whom I named Peg. I later found out she was actually a UK exclusive named Princess Sapphire D: Given to me by my aunt when she toured the UK!
I lost my pirated VHS of Rescue at Midnight Castle... actually, let me rephrase that... it was destroyed. I watched it so much that it lost it's audio, then the colors got all wonky and then it made a loud scary pop noise one day and the tape inside had snapped in two. :'(
I also lost my purple Rubbermaid juice box. (Which I loved), my puppy magnets one of which got chewed up, the others which are just GONE.
and I lost an army-green "storage net" thingy. It was basically like a giant drawstring bag (I could fit in it) made from a net that I carried my favorite plush animals in when I went places.
-
Five of my childhood ponies disappeared, probably during my chaotic house move. I still wonder what happened to Vanilla Treat, Baby Explorer, Tutti Frutti, Sweet Lily... and most of all, Lightning :(
-
My childhood Hippity Hop! And Princess Royal Blue's bushwoolie. But I'm confident they're around somewhere.
-
I was pretty careful with my ponies when I was little... I only lost Backstroke's float, and one of the Dibbles/Nibbles twins... I think I lost the orange one if I'm remembering correctly! I still don't know what happened to her. I had most if not all of the original accessories that came with my ponies, and I had all of the backcards too for a long time, but my mom threw them out when I was around 11 or 12! Why, I don't know... she was usually so good about letting me keep stuff.
Most of my childhood ponies were sold in a garage sale when I was 14 though... I only have Lucky and Starry Wings left! I saved them because they were my favorites. <3 But I do wish I still had all of my other childhood ponies!
I don't think I have ever misplaced anything as an adult, however. I keep all of my ponies displayed and together, and all of the accessories are labeled in baggies. Yes, I keep my collection very organized. :)
-
hmmm, I never had any sanity to lose. So, it cant be that :P
I lost my entire childhood collection - 2 ponies that I kept.
Anyhow, "you don't know what you got until its gone." If I hadn't lost all those ponies I wouldn't be as appreciative to my newer collection as I am now. I suppose that was the only thing that was good that came out of that experience.
-
mu plush firefly I have no cule where she got too she just flew off one day....
-
I'm missing most of my childhood ponies  I had all my ponies and every single accessory, pamphlets and back cards to all my childhood ponies... When I moved out of state for 8 years everything was left in storage. When there was a problem with the storage area (stupid flooding) my brother saved what he could. He only saved about half the adult ponies and only one of the baby ponies. Everything else was lost. :( The ones that hurt the most to loose was Baby Ribbon, Baby Tictac toe and Milkweed and Tumbleweed as they where my favorites. I still haven't been able to replace them and will probably never get all of their accessories back.
The only pony I lost after starting my adult collection was the pink adult sea pony (can't think of her name off hand) I found her at a flea market for a dollar and some where between the booth and my car I managed to loose her.
-
Oh gosh, right now there are some ponies that are missing from my collection. I KNOW I had Rockin' Beat Half Note, the whole set of the Glittery SHS ponies (missing the pinka and purple one), and the Magic Message coral colored unicorn (forgot her name). I'm also missing some of my flutters like Tropical Breeze and the pink one with blue hair (again, forgot name LOL). I am also missing the Purple Princess Pony with the freaky lashes. I also have MIP G3 Dazzle Surprise that went missing.
I have a fear that maybe the box got lost in the move to our current house. I'm hoping that it is out in our storage shed in a deep corner I haven't been able to dig through yet. But I feel as though I've found every pony related box out there. I am not missing any rares but I hate to have to buy these again. When it is warmer out my dad is going to clean out the storage shed and that's when I am going to tackle it and hunt for them. Thinking about them going missing really worries me though.
-
A few years back I lost my stash of ALL my rare and HTF ponies. I had put them in a box when taking a break from collecting and when I wanted them they were nowhere to be found. It included Rapunzel, Hollywood, Mimic, the sweetie babies, the jewelry babies, a bunch of foreign ponies and mountain boys and more. Months later I FINALLY found them at the bottom of my mom's storage unit.
-
So many toys that I would love to have now...
My Secret Wish Horse.
My original Polly Pockets.
My original LPS toys.
My Jurassic Park dinosaurs...
I really don't remember what other ponies I owned. I still have my childhood Lovebeam (who I commissioned Roogna to restore) and I had two Baby Stockings. I bought one a few months ago, but I'm thinking of buying another so I can have two like I used to.
-
I am missing a whole box of ponies from childhood - which had 35 ponies or so in it - including my dainty dahlia! They are no where to be found and will have to be replaced!
-
My pants!
Fixed that for you ;)
