Ever get that random thought in your mind, and it won't go away until you solve it? We'll I have one trying to remember a children's story book.
To give you some background - our elementary school principal had this book, and used to read a story or poem to the (younger) classes. So this would've been early 1990's, but the book could be a lot older, I'm not sure.
What I remember from it - very little:
-yellow cover (primarily, might have had some images on it, not sure, no idea what they would've been - maybe from the stories)
-hardcover, I'm pretty sure
-collection of stories, I think poems to - children's stuff
The only story I remember from it is about a girl who's mom always tells her to never eat spiders, but doesn't say why. Finally the girl gets curious enough, sees a spider, and eats it. And then turns into a spider herself - hence why you never eat one.
I am so stumped, but I'd like to find it. I know it's not much to go on.

Sounds like Don't Eat Spiders to me.

Well that sounds simple :P lol I wonder why I could never find that in my searches. I'll have to check it out to see if it's the right one :)

Ok, I think that might be it - Thanks Evie!!! :D Now to track now an actual copy of it (then I'll know for sure).
I must've been remembering the cover wrong, or it was a different edition possibly.

LOL Well that was quick! Glad you found it!
