So has anyone seen anything about these girls yet?
I cannot WAIT to see what they do with Venus and Robecca. I am so OBSESSED with robots... lol
And i want to see how they pull of the concept of Venus.
Anyone have anything to add or thoughts?

I'm actually most curious about Goyle. Lol. I wanna see how they translate that to their unique and quirky form of pretty.

If she's steakpunk -- copper and bronze -- she goes in the MH collection with monthly visits to the robot collection.
If she's modern/futuristic/retro --- silver!--- I'm buying THREE. One for the MH collection, one for the robot collection, and one to turn into a Terminator!
....not that I'm obsessed with robots or sci-fi or anything. Nope.

Aw dang, when I saw the thread title I thought you had leaked photos, info or something. lol
I wonder if they'll be using the backgrounder designs for whichever matches the closest or if they'll come up with a whole new design for each. Hoping Venus is like a Dryad type monster or something like it.

LuvlyMelody- I wish!!! LOL... I have found some DA conception pieces, and some look very similar to others... But nothing in stone yet...
They wont have any picture leakage until the summer probably... That is the pattern... Hopefully it will be sooner
I am SOO stoked for having a robot girl... I am going to buy like ALL the ones i find and have an army of robots... lol

I must have Rochelle and Robecca. I'm not a big fan of Robecca's bag or Rochelle's ears (if they are horns I'm fine with that) but otherwise they are lovely.

Operetta is someone i have cherished since the first leaked photo and have wanted her ever since... But this... yikes... I am SO upset... i thought they were going to make her more robotic... :(

i think rochelle is super cute!!! one of the cutest MH dolls actually. but the others... well, not special. and robecca is not steampunk at all, though it looks as if they tried...

When I think robot, I typically think of a silver finish. Silver and blue hair would have been awesome. Oh wait, that would be too close to Ghoulia. That's probably what they were thinking. Still, bronze just does not scream robot. That won't stop me from buying her, though! She's too cool not to have.
P.S. Is anyone else dying to see a yellow MH? I'm not sure whether the bee girl counts, since she's not really an officially named doll. And she doesn't even come with a torso, thighs, or biceps in yellow. Otherwise I'd be all over her. Grrrr....

Bronze feels more retro steampunk to me. Maybe that's why they went with it and not silver? I still don't get the blue hair at all though. It doesn't look right to me. Too bad- generally I love steampunk type stuff.

Yes, bronze definitely works for steampunk. But that hair doesn't read steampunk to me.
I'm not even sure what my ideal color for Robecca's hair would be. I'm inclined to go with more of an earth tone, but while that would match, it would be rather dull. I think a shade of red would work rather nicely.

I think she seems to mixed to be steam punk. If they took out the blue and replaced it with a burnt red- it would be perfect.
I love the blue in her hair, but it doesn't speak steampunk robot.
Other than that, I can't think of ways they could've made her more robot. Since she's already a jointed doll which looks like that anyways. :D

Body - Metallic silver. A raised 'datapad' on right forearm, ridges on left thigh and in various other places
Hair - Wild, curly, and white with a thick curly forelock of red
Dress - Baby blue with a silver belt and red buttons down the middle
Rollerskates: White boots, red wheels
Accessories: Chunky futuristic sparkling silver bracelet; red Saturn earrings

oh i love venus and robecca evenif they are differen't than i was thinking. I actually like the bronze and blue color scheme robecca has, but it would have been nice to maybe have her hair another color other than black, like brown or blond. I like that they chose to make her bronze color because it is different than the standard silver robot but i think they could have added more features on her body to make her scream more robot.
Venus is cool. very differnt than what i thought she would look like. I like her nod to 80s style and love the pink and green color scheme.

I wasn't crazy about Robecca's hair color at first, but it's kind of growing on me. I'm going to have to have all three of these girls when they come out.

I think her hair is blue just for diversity sake. No other girl has that color hair really. I would've preferred it to be bronze or something warm colored. For steampunk everything is supposed to look like an antique/weathered......In general encrusted with dirt and rust. That blue is too pigmented, clean, and a more modern.
I'll have to see her in person though before I make a final decision on her.

I forget what it's called but there's some sort of coppery burnished metal that has metallic greens and blues. Someone here on the Arena made some custom ponies in that style that were really awesome and looked metallic. Wish I could remember what it was called. So the blue might fit in after all on Rochelle.

yeah I think it's the combo of almost copper (but more brown) and bright blue (with black mixed in) that's just not cutting it for me, though sadly I don't have a better suggestion....
oh well, to each their own right? I do like the fact that she's got rivets though.
I'm still super excited about them all coming out, now if they could just put more then 2 of each in a store.. that'd be GREAT.

I know exactly what color Robecca's hair should be! It should be a plum purple! A warmish plum always goes great with warm toned metallics. Plus it would fit better with a steampunk theme. I would so rehair her with it if I got her.

Even if she had some sort of metallic tinsel in her hair, or maybe curls. Instead it's this blue and black slightly wavy hair that doesn't do anything for the robot or steampunk theme.

Tuneful... I couldn't agree more... I HATE the design that they have made.. I am totally obsessed with robots and that doll is just not doing it for me.

In fact i would buy any doll that was silver... lol

I LOVE this idea! It's a gorgeous color that no one else has, and would suit the bronze much better. Man. WTB MH salon. :P

I'm pretty excited about these :) I like their designs, more than I did with the Cupid girl really. I'm looking forward to seeing them in stores ^^
