So, I got this pony in a bag at the thrift store along with some other ones and when I pulled her out I noticed that shes just strange.. Maybe someone here has an idea why she looks so different and what she is? I think she is supposed to be a Divine Shine Glitterbelle. The first weird thing is that she has no symbol or cutie mark, nor does she have any trace of them being removed. She also only has one single row of hair plugs with only one color, unlike Glitterbelle who looks to have several rows and two colors with tinsel. There are also no stamps anywhere on the feet, which may be something hasbro did with the Divine Shine ponies because of the material they used?? I'm not sure. She could just be the work of a custom that never got finished and looks really odd, I guess I'm not too sure what to think, maybe one of you guys know? Here are her pictures:

Hello... I believe she is a fakie. I do not know what brand or anything like that but I have one just like her but pink.
-
I'd say she's probably a fakie. I believe there are some made in real MLP molds, which would explain why she looks so much like a real one.
-
She is a fakie that was sold at Dollar Tree a few years ago.
-
I wondered if that's what she was at first since I heard of fakies being made in pony molds before, the only thing that threw me off were the eyes. Good to know, I think I saw another one at the thrift store where I got her from too. Thanks!!

I second this! :) They came in other colors as well: hot pink, orange, green, blue, and magenta.
-
She is a cute fakie!
-
It's a $1 fakie.
I remember seeing them at the dollar tree. In fact I think I have a couple of the other colors.
-
She's a fakie, it's really hard to tell, but I can tell with this one, she's super cute though!
-
Yup, she's a Dollar Tree fakie. They came in green, blue, purple, orange, and pink. I was one of the first people to post about them on the arena - my small claim to fame. LOL
-
That is a very convincing fakie! Pretty!
-
So do you think I should keep it the way it is or customize it? I don't know how hard fakies are to customize..
-
it's a sparkle fakie, like the ones all over ebay.
they are pretty fakies though!

They are no harder to customize than any other pony. The plugs holes are more delicate, but otherwise, not much different. Here is one of my earliest customs that I did using one...Leo the Constellation pony (inspired by the last Faberge egg produced).

A propos believable fakies, I found one that actually had the Hasbro stamp on her hoof :S so yeah, so much about that :P
But I do think she would mke a pretty custom, especially if you just rehair her and make a cutie mark ^^
-
Oooh, I love these fakies! The only fakies I got were these guys... I have two orange ones and a green one that I got from the Dollar Tree about three years ago. :)
-
I love the glitter fakies!

These are the only fakies I've ever felt compelled to buy. They are just so pretty I couldn't resist. I wish they made a clear/colorless one. Wouldn't that have been pretty?
-
Yeah she's a sparkle fakie I have a few and there one of my fave fakie types. Theyre really high quality
-
Those glitter fakies are rather cool.

Thanks for the picture! Its good to see what the others look like, yeah for being fakies they look pretty nice. A clear one would've been really cool!
-
There are alot of people who collected those fakies when they were released :) I have a green one still on the card (or maybe she is orange...shoot, I can'r recall for certain!).
They make great baits too so they are popular among the customizers as well :)
-
I would also like to chime in and say that she is terribly cool. It's interessting that they chose to ape the glitter filled style instead of just taking the easier route and using regular plastic.
