Title: Anyone Familiar With TriChem Fabric Paints?
Post by: clones_rebellion on January 28, 2012, 08:26:37 PM
My mother had a bunch of TriChem fabric paints when I was a kids and we used them all the time. Well, no one has used them for years now, but I would like to. The problem is that they all seem to need the tips replaced. Does anyone know where I can get them? Does anyone even know what I'm talking about? :P

Were those the things that came in weird textures that had "puff" and "shiny" and whatnot? And I think you had to iron the "puff" sort to make it puff?

Nope, these look a tube with a folded end and the tip works like a ball point pen. They were really popular in the 70s and 80s. The paint itself is smooth on the fabric and will last longer than the fabric itself. I have several quilts and shirts made with it from when I can very young. ;) I'm really hoping I can find a place to buy replacement tips so I can get them working again.

I might be too young to remember that specific thing, but I do remember fabric paint that you would squeeze out of a tube from a fine tip point ^^ Would be late 80's, early 90s..I was a very crafty kid :D

That sounds really neat, but I haven't heard of it before until now. Wonder if they still make them?
